Aggie's House is a single family home on a large corner lot, just down the street from the beach, around the corner from the marina and a 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston.
3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-7). Situated in a quiet, attractive neighborhood minutes from a beautiful expanse of beach, Wild Dunes Marina and excellent shopping.
The house's open floor plan features the living room, dining area, kitchen, master suite and private deck on the first floor-perfect for spending quality time with family and friends. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with private bath a private deck balcony.
The large deck off the first floor of the house is a lovely spot to sunbathe, socialize, or enjoy a meal. Enjoy this area of Isle of Palms which provides a wide, pristine beach that is rarely crowded and is excellent for swimming, sunbathing, walking and jogging.
Aggie's house has been a joy to my family for over 30 years. In addition to family many friends and renters have used it and enjoyed it as well. We live in Virginia but love the beach at Isle of Palms, our location and all the low country has to offer, so we travel there as much as we are able.
Martha Johnson purchased this house in 1981
My deceased husband and his son purchased this house originally. After his death I have tried to be a good steward of the property, so that family and friends can continue to enjoy it. Because it is vacant a lot of the time it makes sense to rent it so others can enjoy it as well.
Many barrier islands have built up over the years, and Isle of Palms is no exception. Huge houses that sleep 25+ have been built, but I love the charm that our little house provides. It reminds me of the way the island used to be.
Didn't get to stay at Annie's house because of Hurricane. Maybe another time.
This was the perfect house for our adult family get-away. The three bedrooms, with their attached bathrooms were very convenient. The home was tastefully furnished, clean and well equipped. Our block and a half walk to the beach each morning and evening just added to the enjoyment of staying at Aggie's House. The owner was very responsive to all of our inquiries. Highly recommended. Can't wait to return.
This cottage was shared by 5 ladies celebrating our 60+ year birthdays. With 3 BR's and BA's it was perfect for us. Only caveat is that there are a lot of stairs but we were able to negotiate these successfully. This cottage is immaculately clean, well stocked, comfortable and cozy. Bedrooms are large with plenty of TV's for all. Communications with the owner were pleasant and timely. We all recommend Aggie's House for a fun time at the beach...and, yes, the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. Had an easy commute into Charleston a couple of days with a plethora of good restaurants to choose from both in the city and on IOP. Had fabulous breakfast Sunday morning before church at a little café on George Street, believe it was Biernz Pan Café...highly recommend the food. Had really good she crab soup at Henry's on Market Street. Loved our trip, will hopefully go again soon.
We were two families (cousins) with two and one kid, this house was a perfect home for this reunion.
A lot of room for everybody. Very clean, magnificently equipped.
5 Minutes walk to the beautiful beach, house offers a little carriage with chairs for the beach.
Highly recommended. Hope to come back some day!
We came to Isle of Palms for a wedding at Wild Dunes resort. This house was minutes from the resort and was just what we were looking for. Clean, bright, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay in this house again and recommend it to everyone.
