The yard boasts several interesting sitting areas including The Throne and a beach sand hammock pit. Inside, the walls are colorful and so is the Deco furniture and hand made mosaic table and bar art. Covered gas grill area with exhaust fan for grilling in the rain, lush, beautiful landscaping, garage parking for one car with circular driveway for more, four bicycles for riding along Lake Eden and Lake Ida or to the beach and we are convenient to all that Delray and Boynton Beach have to offer.
Very private large yard with Bar Stools in the pool adjacent to 15'' deep Sun Deck with umbrella! Carpets in bedrooms, tile on living floors. (All deep cleaned July, 2016.) 4 flat screen TVs, ceiling fans, recent A/C, new memory foam mattress and linens, patio furniture, etc.

Best pool, with bar stools, in town. Lots of privacy, vibrant colors, art and all you need to stay, we provide paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. so you dont have to run out for basic stuff.

I just wanted to tell you that the whole family had an amazing vacation at your house. I could not have drawn up a better set up for our personality than your place. Fun, entertaining, and laid back. We had a pretty set routine, early rise and to the beach, and back to the pool by 2pm and firing up the blender and throwing em back until late night. Watching NCAA basketball outside at the bar, watching the tiki torches burn and listening to the tunes. We had a daytime pool party for my parents and their friends from "Leisureville" on Wednesday, and they had a ball. My kids loved this place, they are 4 and 5 and lived in the pool. My daughter spent a lot of time at your drafting table, she called it her office, as she drew in her diary for school. I brought my laptop and burned a quite a few of your CD's, good stuff!
I have rented quite of few places, but none made me as happy as this one. I only hope that the future guest treat it well, as I would love to rent again next year. Please let me know if you intend on renting next season, as we would love to lock down the same week next year. I will be sure to post a great review of this place on the website. Thanks for opening up your home to us, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our family (2 boys ages 8 and 12) stayed at Captain Mark's house for about a week. It was very convenient to everything and the house was nicely appointed with all necessities. The property manager, Sandy (next door neighbor), was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. She was great to work with.
The kids loved the pool and backyard. They went swimming twice a day! They utilized the screened in area and enjoyed the outdoor shower. It was nice to park our car in the garage.
The kitchen was fully stocked and it was easy to make meals for the kids during our stay.
We always use homeaway or other sites and rent when we travel so have lots of experience renting homes by owners. This house was exactly as described and near the top of our list for rentals. We love coming to the area in July, especially for Delray 4th of July. We found everything to be clean, working and had no issues. It is great location for getting to Delray downtown and 3-4 public beaches. The pool and outdoor area is amazing also. The pictures do not do it justice.
Capt. Marks home was the perfect setting to say hello to 60! The pool area alone is a mini resort and was priceless! The privacy was beyond wonderful!
This home is in a beautiful area and a short drive to the beaches. But with the pool who needed the hot sand! Stores were close and easy to get to downtown Delray and all its fun shops and places of interest.
Will plan on a return visit soon!
The few minor issues puts this at 4 stars but Capt Mark assured me it will be 5 star soon. Simple things like a new net to catch leaves in the pool and additional lighting. Nothing that interfered with the joy of being there.,
We rented Capt. Mark's house for a week. My wife and I and my son and his girlfriend. The pool area is wonderfully designed with lush landscaping and very private, enclosed feel. Lots of different seating areas for sun or shade. The screened in area is great for eating, playing darts, reading or enjoying the outside bar with tv, A couple of pool floats are in the outside storage room. In May, we never had to turn on the pool heater. Salt water pool is a huge plus. No chlorine is wonderful.
Living room is comfortable and the kitchen is a good layout if you want to cook. We made breakfast daily and several dinners. We had our own computers but Mark has a desktop with printer if needed. Wifi throughout the house.
Bathrooms are modern, clean and more than adequate for a 2 bedroom. Ceiling fans throughout the house in every room.
The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. The garage parking is great for keeping the car out of the hot sun. There are 4 bikes in the garage and an excellent bike pump. We had a lovely hour long ride one morning. Lots of interesting houses and landscaping to see as you pedal around the area.
By car, Atlantic Avenue in Del Ray Beach is probably 5 minutes tops. By bike maybe it's 15-20 minutes. A new, Costco store is 1 minutes away by car or 5 minutes by bike.
This house is an excellent value which is why it's booked so frequently.
The Captain's Casa is one happy place! We were amused by the creative interior, loved the original mid modern architecture, and were blown away by the backyard/pool area. Having grown up in this area in the fifties, this was a perfect choice for our family visit/vacation. And a visitor will see the REAL florida living on the personal level, rather than a soul-less hotel. But the highlight has GOT to be the pool, and no one could fail to be content spending his entire day there! Be sure to buy some fresh fish to grill, some of your favorite beverage to savor, and get ready to ENJOY!!!
I spent a month here last winter. The backyard makes you feel like your in your own private oasis. Chapel Hill is my favorite neighbourhood in Boynton Beach. Accomodations were perfect for us.

$50/week of electric (about what the A/C will run you) pool & lawn service, garbage, water up to 2000 gallons/week are all included in the rent.
If you run the pool heater, expect to pay another $100 or so per week of electric. Only needed from mid November to early April.
50% upon signing, 50% 60 days prior to arrival on all rentals.

$500 cash deposit (no checks of any kind, please don't ask) returned upon departure in cash.
