Exquisite and central in Paris ! Nearby the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Saint Germain shopping area.
Located in an ancient stone building by the border of the Seine river, the studio is right in the art & antique shop district. It is facing the oldest bridge of Paris, the Pont Neuf which leads directly to the ile de la Cité, with Notre Dame Cathedral on the right. Crossing the Seine, one reaches the Louvre museum in 2 mn. The studio is also neighbouring the lively heart of the Saint Germain area and the Latin Quarter.
Transportation is the easiest : Quai des Grands Augustins is 2 mn from subway Cité or Saint-Michel and 5 mn from subway Odeon or Saint Germain des Prés.
This 24m2 studio is perfectly adapted for a couple (or a family of 3) for a short to medium length stay. It sleeps a maximum of 3 guests (1 DBL + 1 sofa DBL convertible). It is on the 1st floor (FR standard) with elevator.
Entering the studio, one notices the stone wall, the wooden floor and the wonderful wooden beams.
The living room has a large bay window, which offers a nice view on a quiet private courtyard full of greeneries.
Design of the studio was carefully done. Materials are of top quality, wood and metal and modern. The studio is furnished with a working desk, a TV, a table, chairs, shelves and a comfortable convertible sofa that sleeps 2.
The mezzanine can be accessed by a stair running along the wall. It can be used for sleeping only as it is not full body height. It is furnished with a double Futon (we limit rent to 3 guests. Ask specifically for 4 guests). Decoration is charming.
The designed open kitchen is equipped with microwave oven, refrigerator, stove…
Bathroom offers a modern comfortable shower with fixed and handy shower, sink and toilets. The bathroom washer washes but does not dry.
One immediately feels relaxed in this wood and stone atmosphere, bathed in light and viewing the greeneries in the courtyard.

We stayed at apartment Dauphine from April 3rd, 2013 to April 13th,2013. We took the train directly to the apartment and then retrieved the keys from the key safe with out any issues, my sister waited with the luggage while I retrieved the keys. The location is perfect for visiting Paris as everything was in close proximity to the apartment. The unit was clean and fully equipped for our needs. The court yard side was very quiet compared to the main road Quai des Grands Augustins. On several occasions, we were lucky to hear another person in the building playing a grand piano.
Thank you the use of the lovely apartment.
The location to this place was good, but the place itself was only adequate.
Would definitely stay here again. The place is in a great location and is very secure. The apartment is clean and the company has been wonderful to work with. Only made our time in Paris even better. Thank you for a wonderful time!
My daughter and I shared this wonderful, small apartment in Paris. The location is excellent! Good restaurants, sights and areas to be explored are readily at hand, as is a Metro station. The apartment is quiet and that is a real plus in a busy city.
My husband and I loved our stay at Dauphine! The location is excellent and very close to the Pont Neuf, the Louvre Museum and is in the heart of St. Germain. The apartment is very quiet as it is on the back of the building and opens up onto a lovely courtyard. It can get quite warm inside on hot days but there is an overhead fan and also floor fans to help with this.
A couple notes to consider: The bedroom is a loft, up a short ladder, and one cannot stand fully upright in the loft so getting in and out is obviously more complicated than in a unit with a true bedroom, but if you are fit and agile, it's certainly manageable. I would also recommend adding a skillet to the kitchen supplies. There is a crepe pan but its uses are limited.
Check-in/check-out: the process is a bit complicated. The host does not meet the guests on arrival. Instructions to go to a separate location (less than 5 minutes walk) to get the key from a safe box are provided, but it does take some time and coordination to arrange this at the beginning and end of our stay. My preference is for the hosts who have met us at other properties in which I have stayed. It's nice to meet them and you get more "insider' tips on places to go, etc. They did say we could call them anytime with questions, but I personally prefer the one-on-one. And one last concern: the cancellation policy is the most restrictive of any unit I have ever stayed in with VRBO or HomeAway. It is 50% upon signing and there is no refund in the event of cancellation. Many others have 30 or 60 day cancellations. The policy is not stated on the listing. That being said, we loved the apartment so we took the risk.
So, overall, its a beautiful apartment, very French, very romantic, quiet, comfortable and I would recommend it, with the above codicils.
Location, Location, Location!!! This was the highlight of the trip - we could walk everywhere! The St. Germain District we found to have the BEST food, and little authentic shops as well, our farthest walk was the eiffel tower about 40 minutes, however right along the seine river - which doesn't even feel that far as you are seeing the sights and walking along the river. There are different cafe's to stop at along the place. Notre Dame, The Louvre, right across the river, we even walked/biked to Montemarte in about 40 min as well. The place itself, is small but perfect for a couple as I went with my boyfriend. I also felt very safe at the location, as their is a series of entries in order to get to your place. It's on the 2nd floor and there was a small elevator available where we used for luggage. Checking in and out was very easy as well, we did opt for early check in which was perfect because as soon as we arrived from the airport, we could check in (and coming in from the US its early, and great for getting yourself set and ready to go!) The place was also very quiet, even tho we were right outside a main road, we could never hear any noise, the windows opened beautifully to see a courtyard of greens, we left these open in the evening for a breeze, the place was also equipped with 2 fans which helped as it was a little warm when we were staying however with the fans and the windows it was perfect. The apartment was kept clean. The kitchen was great, as we mostly used the fridge, to keep late night sweets and beverages- you can buy a 6 pack of water at the marked, about a 2 min walk, for 2euro's, instead of buying them elsewhere for a dollar each on the streets as you walk, we would also buy wine there as well! As a younger couple in their late twenties this was an ideal living situation where the area was lively and filled with friendly people, the ability to walk everywhere and the closest metro just right down the street about a 5 min walk in order to do some day trips elsewhere. If I find myself in Paris again (which I'm hoping I do) I would not hesitate to stay here again! It helped make our experience in Paris, truly Parisian and easy!
Dauphine was perfect for our two weeks in Paris. The location couldn't be more convenient and the neighborhood was delightful, including one of our favorite hangouts, right outside the door - Chez Nous (a wine bar with tasty small bites, vibrant crowd and a friendly young owner). Dauphine itself is accessed through two well kept courtyards and a cool old staircase. The apartment looks out at a beautiful courtyard. Even with the windows open it is still very quiet and tranquil (at times you can hear students practicing at the music school below). The apartment is very clean, well kept, comfortable and efficient while including tons of storage for bags, clothes and shoes. Don't feel like you need to bring a ton of clothes because it does include a washing machine. Bottom line is it was perfect for our family (two adults, 9 year old & 12 year old). We can't wait to stay there again and would highly recommend it!
