Located in a Queen Anne Victorian built in 1889 (freshly painted 2017) this large one bedroom apartment features a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (full refrigerator, dishwasher) and a dining table seating up to six. Fully tiled bathroom with slate floors and a large tub (with shower combination). Bedroom faces rear of house/garden and is very quiet at night. Bedroom features queen size bed which very comfortably sleeps two adults. Living room has a new leather sofa, which converts to a queen sized bed and also sleeps two adults (initial linen/towels provided for two persons; additional linens/towels and maid service offered at request at additional cost). Living room also features a large screen television with high definition cable TV and movies. French doors lead to covered deck with seating overlooking a small garden with lemon and olive trees and a Koi Pond.

This Queen Anne Victorian is located in a neighborhood with many Edwardian and Queen Anne Victorians, but it is within easy walking distance of some of the City's best dining and shopping. The street is lined by old Magnolia trees and there are large parks close by, but this apartment also faces a small garden in the rear. For us, from the moment we walk into the gated front yard, filled with jasmine and lavender, it is a quiet oasis, with the Castro District, restaurants, bars, clubs, parks all conveniently located close by.

Best Vacation Ever

Location, Location, Location! The apartment was clean, cozy, and well equipped for our month stay in San Francisco. Laurence and Nick were the perfect hosts and we were even invited to their Halloween party. What a blast! It was our first time to the San Francisco area and there were so many things to see and do every day. The best part of the day was coming back to the apartment to relax after hours of sightseeing. We do not live in a city that has public transportation so San Francisco was a challenge but we became quite adept in using the buses, trolleys, streetcars, MUNI metro and BART. San Francisco offers many benefits to its senior citizens and we took advantage. Purchase a Senior Clipper Card for all your transportation needs. We are not sure what the future will bring, but we would definitely book this apartment again. Thank you Laurence and Nick for a great vacation.

A home away from home

We stayed at Laurence's and Nick's for 10 days. Everything was just perfect for the two of us. We liked the apartment very much, it also has a little terrace. Laurence and Nick are very kind. They offered their help, they recommended restaurants and things to do. The apartment is very close to public transportation. To summarize it I would say we felt at home away from home, and if we come to San Francisco again, we would definitely like to stay at their apartment again. We fully recommend it. a true gem in the castro

We spent almost 2 months in Nick and Laurence apt. together with our 2 kids.

Location is just perfect, right in the Castro

The apt. was clean , spacious and came with all we needed to live there for a short time (cooking utensils & potware included which made us able to have often dinner just like we were at home)

There is a garden with chairs and a small table that is ready for you to be used during warm and sunny days.

Nick and Laurence are very communicative and helpful ; they made our stay very comfortable and convenient

Cannot write well enough about this place as we truly loved it

Best place to stay in San Francisco!

We have stayed with Laurence and Nick twice now. Once in their studio apartment and once in the larger one bedroom. We will never stay anywhere else when we come to SF! The rooms are always immaculate and very cozy and comfortable. Both rooms we stayed in have private entry and are equipped with all of the essentials. The owners respect your privacy and are so helpful with any questions or things you may need. I highly recommend staying here! Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality!

The Perfect Place

From start to finish, this place is truly a gem in SF. The pictures well represent the space (although it was actually bigger than I anticipated), and my stay there was wonderful. Nick and Laurence are the perfect hosts. Although I'm very familiar with the city, a booklet with maps, restaurant suggestions (all excellent that I tried), and sights to see in SF was on the desk table as an easy reference. The apartment was super quiet and there were plenty of amenities provided for my stay.

Check in and out was easy and smooth. I would stay there again in a heartbeat the next time I'm in San Francisco.

Excellent experience

What a wonderful secret spot in the Castro, literally a block from multiple restaurants, bars and shops. The owners were very helpful with recommendations, too - thorough it's just as fun to wander and discover. I stayed for a two month work trip and found the place to be private and quiet, easily functioning as a home office when needed. Will definitely return on my next SF trip, whether for business or pleasure!

Known as Duboce Triangle, this area features many Victorian homes but is close the restaurants, bars and nightlight. Located on a Magnolia lined residential street just north of the famous Castro District, this quiet residential neighborhood is safe and walkable with nice restaurants and shops close by. And across Market Street is the historic Castro Theater; up the hill is the Randall Children's Museum overlooking the City. One block away is our weekly Farmer's Market (seasonal April to December). The unit is within blocks of all San Francisco MUNI light rail ones and the historic F line which features historic street car from around the world and is a fantastic way to travel to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, the Moscone Center, museums and so much more. You won't need a car! See the map - look how many parks are located nearby. Hike? Play tennis? There are a number of free public tennis courts nearby - play tennis surrounded by redwood trees and views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. Or walk a few blocks down 16th Street to Mission Dolores the old Spanish Mission which is where San Francisco was founded.Visit the historic wooden church across the street which still holds services in German. Dine outside and enjoy the California sun in this neighborhood which is part of the sun belt protected from the summer fog by the ridge line to the West of us.Enjoy all San Francisco has to offer… but come home to quiet, cozy place to rest.
