My husband and I custom built our dream home on desirable Sunset Beach strip in Treasure Island for it's friendly neighborhood atmosphere with a vacation flair to get the best of both worlds.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2006
Being so close to the beach makes us feel like we are on vacation all the time!
This private in-law suite is attached to the main house but has a seperate entrance outside. Wonderful privacy for the few extra guests in your party. View listing #297759 on this website for pictures and additional information!
I had the pleasure of staying in both the main house, and 1br apartment back in 2010. I felt so welcome, so comfy that I kept returning every vacation I had, until I moved to St. Pete in 2014 for good. Even when I need a little "getaway" from my daily life here, I check to see if the 1br is free for a weekend. I love Treasure Island/Sunset Beach, and this is the ticket. Close enough to everything, but private enough for vacation. I always check with the owners first for availability when I have friends and family come to town, it's more than just a place to rest your head and watch a sunset. Everything you need is in, and outside of the property, plus love and hugs from Mama Lee. Enjoy!!
We have just returned from staying in this apartment and are very disappointed with it, at first it looked very nice but we found many things not cleaned, the shower was dirty, the bathroom was dirty and the tea pot expected to boil water was filthy, I found a steak knife in the draw with food attached, the air vent in the bathroom was also dirty.
When we arrived we was greeted my the owners mother who is a sweet lady and she explained the parking situation, we only had one space and the condo upstairs allocated three spaces, it was verbally and written on the fridge where you could park, the several people upstairs decided to ignore that and so for the first three days we found a car parked directly outside our apartment door, this caused an argument and so left a sour taste of how things would progress for the week, they also had a dog who barked for the first two days until we contacted the owner who obviously contacted them because they questioned us the next day.
The apartment is small but adiquate for two people but you have to listen to the people above you moving around, during the day when your out is not a problem, the problem is late at night when your trying to sleep.
The walk to the beach is about a 100yrds but is controlled by the bar there who make it quite clear you can't take coolers on the beach, so you have to walk 200 yards away to get to the beach where you can, not sure how they get away with this but they do. The beach it self is small and when the tide comes in it floods the beach and leaves pools of water until the next day, this makes the beach area quite small.
We didn't enjoy this part of Treasure Island and will not be returning.
My husband and I stayed here while our home was being tented in Tampa. We loved it! The owner's mother lives on property and is so sweet and accommodating. Caddy's Beachside grill is just a short (2 minute) walk and the food and drinks are fantastic. We brought our bikes and road to John's Pass for the seafood festival and had some delicious fresh dishes from local eateries around the area. We took walks on the beach every morning and watched the sunset every night. It was a lovely stay and we will definitely be back to stay.
Just returned from a lovely stay on Treasure Island. Beautiful apartment---had everything we needed and very comfortable. Easy to cook on our own. Just across the street from a great beach (which had a beach restaurant----dogs not welcome, unfortunately) and a perfect place for long walks and sunset beach visits. Best of all was Lea, who exuded warmth and kindness and was always available for advice or help. Highly recommended.
Had to book on short notice & Leeann & Debbie were very friendly & accomodating. Forgot dogs leash & they let me borrow one. It truly is just a walk across the street to the beautiful beach. A couple bar/restaurants in walking distance. Nice, safe, friendly neighborhood. Apartment was very clean & up to date. My husband & I enjoyed our stay here very much & will defintely book again. As a matter of fact I'm going to FL again this year & this is the property I want to book(that's what reminded me to do the review) Beach chairs & umbrellas were available for use. Have told friends & family about this place & will tell more people. Lots of places in walking/short driving distance
We spent Christmas 2013 at this property and enjoyed every minute. The owner was out of town, but we got the same wonderful treatment, as what other reviewers have mentioned, from her mother. Miss Leah was a joy to get to know and love! The location is perfect and the pictures represented exactly what you are able to enjoy. It is directly in front of the beach. The sunsets were spectacular. The place was spotless and was very well stocked with everything you need. We really were able to relax and enjoy our time to unwind. There are many restaurants close by as well as a Publix down the road. We highly recommend this property to everyone!
