This Vintage Early 1900’s 2-Flat 2nd floor apartment is in the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood of Andersonville.

Located in the FUN, EXCITING, ECLECTIC ANDERSONVILLE Neighborhood on the north side of Chicago less than 2-blocks west of Clark Street where you can find a wide array of Restaurants, Bars, Coffee Shops, Bakeries and Boutiques, etc.

This 2nd floor apartment has a private entrance and skylight above the front stair entry, with a balcony overlooking the tree lined street of Winona and in back a four season sun room overlooking the private back yard with a brick paver patio.

The Antique Furnishings complement the era of this turn of the century vintage home with some modern conveniences. You’ll love the hardwood floors, 9 foot ceilings, brick fireplace and exposed brick on the interior.

There are plenty of windows and beautiful warm colors throughout the home. There are 3-bedrooms, 1 bath, a front room leading to the balcony, a dining room, eat in kitchen with a pantry and a sunroom.

The apartment is located 2.99 Miles from Loyola University in Chicago and 5.99 miles from Northwestern University in Evanston. The apartment is located just 2-miles to Historic Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs.

Downtown Chicago and everything it has to offer is only a short distance when traveling by car you are just minutes to the beach’s of Lake Michigan and Historic Lake Shore Drive riding along the lakeshore looking toward the view of Down Town Chicago passing Belmont Harbor, Navy Pier, Oak Street Beach, Grant Park, The Magnificent Mile, Soldier Field and the Museums on Lake Michigan.

Downtown Chicago and everything it has to offer is only a short distance when traveling by public transportation. The Damen #50 bus and the Foster #92 bus are just 2-blocks from the apartment on Foster Avenue and Paulina. The Damen # 50 bus will take you to the Damen Avenue Brown-Line-L station. The Brown-Line-L will take you Downtown Chicago. The Brown-Line-L circles the Chicago Loop.

The Foster #92 bus will take you east to Broadway and you have your choice of the Argyle Red-Line-L station or the Berwyn Red-Line-L station. Both station stops will take you to the Chicago Loop. When you get to the city you may transfer to any one of the L-trains.

This location is very assessable by public transportation and by car. If you’re traveling from O’Hare Field, ride the Blue-Line-L train from the airport to the Jefferson Park stop and hop the Foster 92-bus to Paulina, just 2-blocks from the apartment. If you’re traveling from Midway Airport, ride the Orange-Line-L train from the airport to the Roosevelt Road stop and transfer to the Red-Line-L train and ride to the Berwyn stop and hop the Foster 92 bus to Paulina, again just 2-blocks to the apartment. If you are driving a car, a garage parking space is available for $10.00 per day and there is street parking available as well.

I am a 4th generation Chicagoan. My roots are very deep in the City of Chicago going back to my Great, Great Grandparents on both side of the family. I love Chicago and I currently live in the first floor apartment of The Winona Residence with my wife Cathy and our Irish Terrier Mickey.

I am the Vice President of our Family owned heating and air conditioning company in the west suburb of Schaumburg Illinois. I have been in the heating and air conditioning business since 1976. I am a licensed electrician and I have a Managing Brokers Real Estate License.

The location is wonderfully located for easy access for all public transportation to downtown Chicago. The public transportation downtown Andersonville and Lake Michigan are within walking distance from the apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

This property is one of only 73 Legal Licensed Vacation Rentals in the city of Chicago. If a property does not have a City of Chicago Hotel License. They are not a legal vacation rental. This home is unique because of its vintage character from the early 1900’s and friendly neighborhood. Being on the second floor you get privacy from the tree lined street. You can admire the view while out on the front balcony or sit in the back sunroom looking out to the backyard. This location is very accessible to downtown Chicago and the walk is less than 2-blocks to the heart of downtown Andersonville.

People say location is important but so is personal attention. Located in the Andersonville neighborhood this property is perfectly situated for guests to enjoy all the shops and food the neighborhood has to offer. But where it excels is the personal attention you get from Paul. He quickly responds to all questions and addresses any issues promptly, no matter how minor. Whatever reason you have to be in Chicago, this is the property for you.

Andersonville Charmer

We needed a place for a week that would accommodate four adults and our one-year-old grandson near our daughter's house in Ravenswood. This spot was ideal. The apartment was quiet, clean and decorated to drawn us into the history of Chicago. The atmosphere was comfort and homeyness. Since we were visiting in mild September, we were also able to take advantage of the nice outdoor seating area one evening. We walked or took public transportation to everything. Our grandson used the both the high chair and portable crib during our stay.

Andersonville is charming and offers a taste of typical Chicago life with lots of locally-owned and operated stores, restaurants and bars. Lake Michigan is only a mile away and a beautiful walk on Foster heading east. Also nearby is Lincoln Square which is rich in German heritage and hosts Oktoberfest events in the fall and is filled with fun places to explore. We all recommend this place and hope to stay again in the future.

Great location in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Restaurants, bars, coffee, ice cream, drugstores and shops all within walking distance. We particularly liked A Taste of Heaven, George's for ice cream, and The First Slice pie shop.This charming apartment was very clean and well equipped. Our group of four stayed four nights but we easily could have been comfortable for a much longer stay. We rented the garage space but didn't use it as there was street parking easily available. We fell in love with Andersonville and highly recommend you consider Paul's apartment for your next stay.

Historically charming, cute, clean, light-filled flat in amazing neighborhood! Would stay again!

My husband, two kids, and I stayed here for 8 nights. We loved it!! We were in love with the historic charm and neat features of the flat, and the furniture and wall decor was great! The flat had virtually everything we needed, including some thoughtful extras. We especially appreciated the fans in each bedroom, the light-blocking wooden blinds, and the shower caddy and shelf in the bathroom. It's a small bathroom, but we had space for all of our stuff! The bedroom closets have an insane amount of storage, which was great. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed, and within a couple of days, we were used to working in the smaller space. The sunroom was a delightful extra, as well! Best of all, the flat was very clean, which is important to us. Paul was very friendly and accommodating, and was very concerned with making sure our stay was perfect. When we did need something (extra kitchen towels, bags for recycling), Paul got it to us right away. There's a big benefit to having the owner living right beneath you! The flat itself is wonderful, but what really sold us on this place is the Andersonville neighborhood! Clark St is only two blocks away, and is amazing! There are all kinds of wonderful restaurants and shops, and we could have spent much more time exploring. Don't miss A Taste of Heaven and the Swedish Bakery. They have a great weekly farmer's market, as well. We never used public transportation, but driving into the city or to points along the Lake was easy and didn't take very long. The beach is nearby and is easy to find. Bottom line: We loved the flat and the neighborhood, and would stay here again in a heartbeat! You won't go wrong if you rent this place.

This was a terrific apartment on a quiet and safe residential street. We came for a wedding and enjoyed the Andersonville area and a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. We'll definitely stay here again.
