wonderful owners

Missy and her husband are wonderful. It was very easy to get ahold of them, they were lovely to talk to, and they were more than accommodating. I highly recommend working with them, they made everything extremely easy. Very cute and cozy house in a quiet and lovely location. Outdoor patio is a really great added bonus.

Best of Everything!

  • 5 of 5

This house has the best of everything - charm, ambiance, location. So comfortable and quiet, all the amenities of home. Walking distance to a few lovely restaurants and a very short drive to others. Couldn't get more centrally located in Mystic! Added pleasure for those of us who adore historic homes - unique architectural details, antique touches throughout. The well-appointed kitchen has all the modern conveniences, including an upscale gas stove, but keeps the old-world feel with its soft robin's egg blue walls and warm wood floors. Beautiful private side yard hugged by a stone wall has a patio table with comfy chairs to enjoy breakfasts on, and a glass of wine and a good book in the afternoon. We enjoyed the time we spent in the house as much as the time spent sightseeing - what better recommendation is there?

Great home if you would like to experience "Main Street Mystic!"

  • 4 of 5

Easily accessible by train, and within walking distance to the marina and hub of the historic town of Mystic, this charming home was comfortable and clean. Two window air conditioning units and floor fans kept us very comfortable during our incredibly hot and humid week in Mystic! Sofa was comfortable for lounging AND sleeping. Beds included high quality mattresses and bedding. Bathroom was bright in sea blue and summer white. Fenced-in and shaded yard with patio, grill, and furniture is ideal for relaxation or play.

About the area: there is plenty to do within walking or short-drive distance. Shopping, fine and casual dining indoors or al fresco, sightseeing, beaches, even tours by boat are all within reach. Mystic Aquarium is one of the best we've visited; we rate it #2, with Sea World in Florida at #1! We bought a one-day Value Pass which included a 4-D Sponge Bob show, and entry into the Birds of the Outback. Upon leaving, we were offered two more consecutive days at no extra cost (but did not include the 4-D or Birds on those days). With the house being so close to the aquarium, it was easy to return. Wander through Olde Mystick Village on brick pathways, through lovely gardens to a variety of "old town-like" shopping and restaurants. There's a duck pond and church, a cinema, candy store and more.

Both the owner and nearby property manager were helpful and welcoming.

We think this property may very well be the best value for a home rental stay when planning a visit to Mystic.

(Please consider if traveling with very young children or anyone with physical challenges including the elderly, there are stairs to both bedrooms and the only bathroom.)

A Charming Home in Mystic, CT

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent about 2 weeks in this lovely home. I would HIGHLY recommend it! The pictures do not do justice to this charming home. It is clean, well-appointed, with great decor. We were there in the dead of winter with about 8" of snow, but the home was as snug as could be. I loved the comfy bedrooms, the bath was just charming, the kitchen was just too cute. Rooms were large and comfortable (well, except for one bedroom upstairs but it was still very comfortable). The owner is very accommodating. Easy walking distance to everything in Mystic. A superb location. Quiet area but near everything. We travel ALOT and have stayed in many homes and this one is one of the nicer ones. Would definitely recommend it to travelers in the area.

Loved my time staying in this beautiful characteristic Mystic property. Comfortable sized rooms. Great kitchen and lounge. Shower was adequate and bathroom spotless. Kitchen clean and modern. Loved that it was quiet but within walking distance of town centre. Thanks to owner for sharing your lovely home.....would definately come back!

Mystic Adventure

What can we say about Mystic? A wonderful place to spend a week and mingle with very friendly and helpful people. Lots of very good places to eat, lovely surroundings and lots of things to do. My sister and her husband had never been to the states and were blown away by the town of Mystic, a place we would all come to again. We also benefitted from staying in a lovely traditional house in a lovely street. When we drove up to the house we could not have been happier with its look both from the outside and the inside. Comfortable and clean with some lovely personal touches which made it seem like our home. My sister and I are very particular where we stay and were extremely pleased with this house. Neighbours were very friendly and the owner was extremely helpful with any advice we needed before we came to the house, so many thanks for that. I hope we are able to come to your beautiful area hope to stay in this lovely house again. from your English and Scottish guests.
