Little River's Honeymoon Cabin is exactly that, a perfect little romantic spot to bring your better half or even your small, growing family. Nestled on an 11 acre gated property with hiking and walking trails, plenty of outdoor furniture to sit, lounge and take in nature, two ponds and 800 feet of creek frontage, Little River is hopefully going to take you back to those simpler days we all long for! Mountain charm at its best! And less than 20 minutes to downtown Boone and within 35 minutes of all the major ski resorts (App Ski, Sugar, Beech and Hawksnest), the location is perfect - away from it all (the mountain experience you expect), but easy access to your family activities!

This little guest cottage is mountain style dressed up with modern day decor and features a convenient little kitchenette, complete with dishes, cooking utensils and a small fridge. The cozy living area is complete with a king bed, a wardrobe housing a flat screen TV, a rocking chair and lamps on end tables. The bath area has a unique yesteryear claw foot tub, just like the good old days (not to worry, it has a long shower handle for those longing for a shower not from yesteryear!). The loft area has a sitting area over looking the creek, a double bed and a chest of drawers. This cabin is comfy and cozy for two, but welcomes up to 2 adults and 2 kids. And the kids will truly be one with nature (as will you) with acres to explore, frogs to find, birds to watch, stones to skip ... the list goes on and on.
The front porch is covered so you can sit on the swing and listen to the birds singing and expect a lot of flying wildlife on property! The deck is complete with a newly installed hot tub for you to take in the stars while relaxing alongside your 800 feet of Little River frontage access! There is also an outdoor table and chairs to dine out.
The property has so much to offer. You can take a walk around the property (11 full accessible acres) or hike through the surrounding woods and beautiful seasonal flowers can be found all over the property for your enjoyment. Picnic spots are also available throughout the property to rest your legs or simply sit to enjoy your own slice of mountain life. You might see some wildlife, as there is an abundance and the area land is not as developed as other towns. There are also two ponds on your property! Tube down the lazy creek or stroll through the vegetable garden, relax, sit back, take a load off, you have earned it. You deserve it!
You are sure to find something that will be a memory to take home. "Calming, stress relieving, and peaceful." These are the words we hear time and time again to describe this beautiful well-maintained, gated and secluded property.
You are invited to visit our little piece of heaven, and feel free to bring your pet (with approval) - you'll be glad you did!!!

This property is amazing, truly a piece of heaven. Many creative touches on property for you to discover (we don't want to give everything away!) Little River Honeymoon Cabin is a place to go back in time and enjoy the marvelous beauty of the country and mountain life. This property has it all and it is no wonder why guests continue to return. Everyone is at home when they are here, truly a mountain paradise.
It was very beautiful and serene.
We loved our stay at the cabin. The cabin is perfect for a quiet getaway. The bed is so comfortable and we had everything we needed for the night. The property is so well kept and gorgeous! We woke up to a beautiful snow scene. Very peaceful place.
Beautiful property away from everything . Will be back soon
We absolutely loved this cabin. I have nothing bad to say at all. We needed a good weekend getaway and this offered way more for our peace and quite weekend than first thought. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting some alone time or just a peaceful stay. The cabin was very clean. The area is super nice. Great job Connie and thanks for everything. Trip well needed and this cabin delivered 100%.
Thanks Butch S.
**Important to Note**
1. The cell service is basically nonexistent in the vicinity of the cabin (as expected), so make sure to load/screenshot the gate/key codes from the app/email well before you get there. We didn't consider this and had to drive to a school a little up the road to use their wifi to load the page with the gate/key codes.
2. While there is technically wifi, neither of us were able to connect to it. Either the signal is too faint or not functioning. This was fine as we were only staying for a relaxing night, but I wouldn't bank on it working.
3. There is a coffee maker and filters, but no coffee. It didn't occur to me to bring any, so make sure to bring some if you'd like coffee in the mornings.
4. It didn't snow, but we likely would have run into some issues making it to the cabin without 4wd and/or snow tires.
This cabin was great. The property is beautiful and quiet, and it was nice knowing there was a gate at the entrance. This also made check-in a breeze, as we just drove straight to the cabin and used the codes to get in. The hot tub was great. The bed was SO comfortable and the claw-foot tub was beautiful. Downtown Boone was only about 15 minutes away, and skiing on Beech Mountain was only about 20. We had a great time!
My partner, 5 year old son and I stayed here for a quick getaway. It was so amazing, cozy, and perfect. My son loved finding all the swings around the property...especially the one going out over the water. We also enjoyed the artistic trails with beautiful views. We played rock chess and enjoyed the big bath tub. Enough room for us and a very good feel to the whole place. So grateful we had a chance to be there.
Our nearby town is Boone, NC and the home of Appalachian State University. Boone has the main grocery stores and shopping centers. The outskirts of town has many interesting activities. Valle Crucis Park and Mast Store, Tweetsie Railroad, Cove Creek Store and the many streams and Watauga River, for fishing. Restaurants are plenteous and delicious here in the High Country. We have ponds and waterfalls in the area as well. The Skiing is great in the high country as well, we have Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian ski slopes. Also, nearby we have beautiful Watauga Lake. Antiquing, site seeing, gem mining, white water rafting, so many fun things. High Country and our beautiful Mountains is a must see.
