Wonderful property in the middle of sleeping bear dunes country

  • 5 of 5

Norm was great. And the setting was stunning. Deep in the woods. The small pool was wonderful to relax in after a day of tooling around.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at the Treehouse. The property is very peaceful and relaxing. Perfect location for anything we did in the area. Norm's place was a comfortable size for our group(3-4) and our 60# dog. Our dog loved it here, and was tired out every night. Norm was very considerate and hospitable, answered our questions and gave good advice about the area. Our privacy was maintained during our stay. We had a very enjoyable week here. Definitely would stay here again. Highly recommend!

Cozy!! Great place to stay .

  • 4 of 5

The treehouse was cozy and nice. if you are looking for a very reasonably priced place then consider the treehouse. The only drawback was that it isn't close to the lake - Norm was very nice and helped with anything we needed

A Great Location

  • 2 of 5

Treehouse is nestled in thick forest right across the road from a section of the park. It has great N. Michigan theme and is well equipped in the kitchen. I have only 2 complaints: 1. we had to kill a ton of daddy-long-legs spiders on our first day in the apartment (not uncommon in thick, shady forests). 2. On the last day - we were targeting the check out time shown in documents left for us when we checked into the treehouse. The owner called prior to that time to tell us that we should have departed already and that penalties were accruing. This later resolved to be a case of different times posted in different locations and he apologized for the mix up but the experience had already upset my wife.

Owner's Response: This is only the second time we have felt the need to respond to a guest comment. There was a misunderstanding regarding check out times. An old brochure was left somewhere in the house, unintentionally, giving the wrong check out information. However, the actual contact time was 15 minutes before the guest's planned check out, so how upset can one possibly be if they were planning on checking out 15 minutes later? That said, it is impossible to know if there is a problem unless the problem is mentioned. When asked 2 days into the reservation, the guest stated "everything is great." Lastly, it is important to pass along potential issues to the owner before leaving. It would be very important that the owner would need to be informed that a guest's pet has urinated on the sofa, so the sofa can be steam cleaned and sanitized before the next guests arrive in a few hours.
