This is a 2 family house. Any rate quote here is for only one apartment.
Owner/Manager recently gutted and rebuilt 1913, partial water view home. Located 10 houses from the bay and approximately 2 minute walk from the beach, with a great, water view deck, perfect for entertaining or BBQ. Cozy, wood-burning stove, with hardwood available upon request. Central air, with ceiling fans installed. Driveway creates a parking spot, which can be difficult to find during peak Summer months, offered to the 1st floor Tenant.
Floors are ceramic tile, plus baths are travertine marbled, creating a very simple cleanup after beach activities.
Safe neighborhood, located in the wonderful, West End, noted for it's summer block parties and festivals. Flip-flops and a beach cruiser is all that's needed in the summer!
THIS IS A PET-FREE HOME. NO EXCEPTIONS. Although a pet-lover, please exclude this in your pet-friendly searches, as I insist on cleanliness for all guests.

Why Lawrence chose Long Beach
Long Beach is a great location. Near the beach, airports, tennis or NYC. LB is perfect! Hurricane created a mess, but it also created a 'cleansing' of the city….. if you will. Anyone, who had previously refused to keep a neat and tidy home, were terribly washed out to sea. This created an environment that was a new opportunity for citizens, as well as entrepreneurs. We now have some FANTASTIC new opportunities for residents and guests alike! It didn't erase our unique flavor, but enhanced it. We now have not only wonderful, traditional selections, but a new cultural experience….. Thai, Chinese, French, Italian, Mexican. Night clubs. Restaurants. Beaches. Community center. Spa. Yoga. Health Club. Urgent Care facility within 2 blocks. Children's playground, complete with a rubberized tarmac and water features to help keep the kids cool during the wonderful Summers.
What makes this House unique
Travertine shower, unlimited hot water (tankless, on demand), ceramic and travertine floors for easy sand clean-up, gourmet kitchens for entertaining, wine cellar, wood-burning stove, awesome deck with water views and people watching, surround sound stereo with 42' LCD HDTV and lots of HD channels, movie channels, DVD's, WiFi, Ooma Worldwide (Call over 30 countries for free). Super clean, with all new beds, bedding, towels....everything is new! 1st floor was destroyed during our devastating flood, but transformed in to a one-of-a-kind rental! Kitchen improvements exceed $50K, and will entice the most distinguished chefs. I have spent MEGA on this, for one reason - To offer my other guests an extremely wonderful experience, even better than upstairs. I have 2 Queen beds, that have superior mattresses, but nothing like the $5,000 mattress in the master upstairs…..

Great place! Great location.
The pictures of this place do not do it justice. The living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen appliances look brand new. The main bathroom with shower was spacious as well. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer were very quiet making it possible to do laundry at night across the hall from master bedroom. Didn’t need the beach passes but they were available as well. Lastly, working with Lawrence on the arrangements was easy.
We were a total of four family nembers. When we head back we hope this place is available.
Kitchen and bathroom were wonderful. Bedrooms were ok, living room very small.
We stayed 4 days in the winter so having indoor space was important. There was only a mirror in the bathroom (only 1 bath in this unit) and a mirror in one of the bedroom. This made getting ready for 6 adults a bit challenging. A mirror in each bedroom would have been very helpful. We were under the impression each unit had one and a half baths, that was not the case. There was no microwave as stated in the downstairs unit, another challenge. However, the kitchen was beautiful and well stocked with everything you could need including coffee, tea and spices etc. You may want to bring your own toilet paper and hand soap, there was none even though it was to be supplied. I assume this was a house keeping error. Overall we were comfortable, it was clean and it served our purpose and the location was good.
I detailed all that was expected in not only a phone call, but via text. Answered all questions completely. Incorrect statement about the mirrors, as one of the bedrooms has dual, floor-to-ceiling sliding mirrored doors.
My comment about the baths was conveyed to Kathie, as I specifically asked which apartment she desired, noting the upstairs is more expensive and might suit her group best? She chose the 1st floor, which is less expensive than the upstairs, which also has 3 bedrooms, yet it has another half-bath.
She was a good guest though and I appreciate her feedback, which is the only way I found out the last guests took my microwave!
A wonderful property!
We had an awesome time during our visit. The home was very nice and had every amenity that you would need. We had both the upper and the downstairs unit and they both were in excellent repair and very comfortable. It is close to the beach and restaurants and not far from the train station. The owner, Lawrence was excellent to work with and very accommodating.
I would highly recommend this property. A++
Idyllic apartment in fabulous location
My whole family stayed here (in both the upstairs and downstairs apartments) for a week in June - my son was getting married in Rockville. We didn't know Long Beach at all and we felt so lucky to have rented these two apartments. Everything was fabulous, we had every thing that we needed and the apartments were perfectly placed for the beach bars and transport into Manhattan. The only problem was that we did not stay long enough! Sorry Lawrence - we are looking at it again for next year!
Perfect spot to relax with the girls!
We were looking for a perfect oasis for our annual girls weekend away.... and we found it! It's a short walk to everything... the beach, restaurants and bars and the brand new boardwalk. The deck and living room were very spacious for us to relax, read and catch up.....Newly remodeled and extremely clean - Lawrence was very helpful with the details - and responsive! We will be back - highly recommend!
Wonderful Stay for a Family of 6
Looking for an hotel for our family is not always easy. Most hotels do not want more than 5 in a room. I have since started looking at VRBO as a cost-effective alternative. That all being said... this home was perfect! It provided all that we needed and more than I thought it could. It was very well appointed and close to where we wanted to go. It included all the luxuries of home AND an hotel. Lawrence, the landlord, was very helpful, accommodating, and readily available before and during rental if anything was needed. And since our family wanted to do both the beach and the city, we were easily able to take the LIRR right from Long Beach. Loved our stay! Thank you, Lawrence!
Westend location near great restaurants & pubs, Jones Beach Outdoor Amphitheater, Deep Sea Fishing, Coney Island, NYC via the Long Island Railroad and airports all within 30 minutes. Beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk, with a restricted access during the Summer months (included in rental). Boardwalk is a 5 minute walk. Train station is a 20 minute walk, or use the convenient city bus for a 5 minute connection. Taxi rides are capped at $5/person, anywhere on Long Beach. Street is a 2-way Avenue, with parking on both sides (Narrow/one-way streets have extremely limited parking), making this valuable if using an automobile. Located halfway between Park & Beech Streets, limiting the noise from both major thoroughfares.
