Owner/Manager recently gutted and rebuilt 1913, partial water view home. Located 10 houses from the bay and approximately 2 minute walk from the beach, with a great, water view deck, perfect for entertaining or BBQ. Cozy, wood-burning stove, with hardwood available upon request. Central air, with ceiling fans installed. Driveway creates a parking spot, which can be difficult to find during peak Summer months, offered to the 1st floor Tenant.
Floors are ceramic tile, plus baths are travertine marbled, creating a very simple cleanup after beach activities.
Safe neighborhood, located in the wonderful, West End, noted for it's summer block parties and festivals. Flip-flops and a beach cruiser is all that's needed in the summer!

Hurricane created a mess, but it also created a 'cleansing' of the city….. if you will. Anyone, who had previously refused to keep a neat and tidy home, were terribly washed out to sea. This created an environment that was a new opportunity for citizens, as well as entrepreneurs. We now have some FANTASTIC new opportunities for residents and guests alike!
It didn't erase our unique flavor, but enhanced it. We now have not only wonderful, traditional selections, but a new cultural experience…..

1st floor was destroyed during our devastating flood, but transformed in to a one-of-a-kind rental! Kitchen improvements exceed $50K, and will entice the most distinguished chefs. I have spent MEGA on this, for one reason - To offer my other guests an extremely wonderful experience, even better than upstairs. I have 2 Queen beds, that have superior mattresses, but nothing like the $5,000 mattress in the master upstairs…..
We were looking for a perfect oasis for our annual girls weekend away.... and we found it! It's a short walk to everything... the beach, restaurants and bars and the brand new boardwalk. The deck and living room were very spacious for us to relax, read and catch up.....Newly remodeled and extremely clean - Lawrence was very helpful with the details - and responsive! We will be back - highly recommend!
Looking for an hotel for our family is not always easy. Most hotels do not want more than 5 in a room. I have since started looking at VRBO as a cost-effective alternative. That all being said... this home was perfect! It provided all that we needed and more than I thought it could. It was very well appointed and close to where we wanted to go. It included all the luxuries of home AND an hotel. Lawrence, the landlord, was very helpful, accommodating, and readily available before and during rental if anything was needed. And since our family wanted to do both the beach and the city, we were easily able to take the LIRR right from Long Beach. Loved our stay! Thank you, Lawrence!
I rented the upper flat with family in from the UK, and it was perfect! The location is ideal with nearby supermarket and 24 hour convenience a short walk away. The kids loved the beach which is also a stone's throw away. The flat is well appointed with a lovely deck and gorgeous kitchen, which I will miss cooking in!
Everything was even better then advertised and landlord Lawrence made the rental process very easy and pleasant. We would love to stay again!
We rented both floors for an off-season family get together. The accommodations were clean, welcoming, exactly as described, close to the beach and shops/restaurants, and well-appointed. Family members were very happy and totally in awe of the kitchens. Washer/dryer on both floors was handy. Wifi and large flatscreen TVs solved all entertainment and business needs. Although I had booked a hotel room just in case for my disabled family member, we didn't need it. The lower level apartment was readily accessible for her (no entry steps), although the shower is a tub, not walk in, but it was super easy for her to get around for her short term stay. (The twin over full bunk room actually was the room that had space to accommodate her rollator. We brought our own toilet seat riser. The toilets are modern elliptical and low.) The best part was dealing with the owner. We only communicated by email & PayPal, but Lawrence was totally no-hassle regarding booking, arrangements, and any questions that came up. Such a pleasure to deal with and made everything so simple, unlike some other bookings I looked into. We all want to come back!

We stayed in downstairs 3 bedroom / 1 bath. Used to staying in 4 & 5 star hotels and this place is right there (but bigger). Everything was newly remodeled (bath and full kitchen are amazing) and rooms were all very comfortable. Free wifi, surround sound on large plasma TV and reserved parking space in front were nice! The location is the best. On a quiet street yet very short walk to beach, the best restaurants and bars, and corner market for food shopping. Lawrence is a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely stay there again next time in NY.
Westend location near great restaurants & pubs, Jones Beach Outdoor Amphitheater, Deep Sea Fishing, Coney Island, NYC via the Long Island Railroad and airports all within 30 minutes.
Beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk, with a restricted access during the Summer months (included in rental). Boardwalk is a 5 minute walk. Train station is a 20 minute walk, or use the convenient city bus for a 5 minute connection. Taxi rides are capped at $5/person, anywhere on Long Beach.
Street is a 2-way Avenue, with parking on both sides (Narrow/one-way streets have extremely limited parking), making this valuable if using an automobile.
Located halfway between Park & Beech Streets, limiting the noise from both major thoroughfares.
