This mountain home, aptly named 'Starry Nights', was built in 2003 and sits on the North Fork of the Cache La Poudre River in a breathtaking valley surrounded by majestic mountains. Starry Nights is approximately a one hour drive from Fort Collins and is conveniently situated amongst a multitude of fishing lakes, ponds and streams; as well as hiking, biking, walking and snowshoe trails. Wildlife find safe haven on the seven acres surrounding this easily accessible mountain property. The beautifully appointed riverfront home has a covered front porch, a large back deck, and, just across the on-site footbridge, is a wonderful screened outdoor gazebo.
Inside the home, Starry Nights offers a bright, open living space with expansive vaulted ceilings, modern decor and (amongst other unique qualities) a private loft with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains...perfect for enjoying a warm drink and your favorite book. The home has modern dining and kitchen areas as well as a beautiful gas log fireplace to warm your body and your spirit. The rustic furniture and mountain decor lend a cozy feeling to the home. The beautiful breakfast bar and dining table are surrounded by windows, allowing you to catch glimpses of wildlife as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal.
As you step off the back deck, you can either walk across the footbridge to the private gazebo, or just walk straight to the edge of the property to drop your fly line in the North Fork of the Poudre River. Nothing stands in your way.
At night, you can cook in, eat out at one of the local restaurants, grill on the back deck, or roast hot dogs and marshmallows at the on-site fire pit. Or, quietly relax in the Master Suite’s custom-built four poster queen bed or warm your bones in the jetted tub after a long day of reeling trout out of the river. For a breath of fresh air and privacy, step out to the second story balcony and soak it all in.
Take a break during the day, and explore what the local communities have to offer. Minutes from Starry Nights are several restaurants, an amazing golf course, Beaver Meadows ranch, and Red Feather Lakes village which carries all the essential amenities (food/drink) and even an ice cream fountain and several craft shops. Details are located in the Googlemap on this page.
Starry Nights is easily accessible year-round and just minutes from the Crystal Lakes Base Camp. There are two electric RV hookups and grey/black water disposal on-site. An extra fee applies for RV use. A Colorado fishing licence is required, and daily fishing fees apply within the confines of the Crystal Lakes mountain community.

My wife and I are Northern Colorado natives. We were away for over 20 years, but have recently returned to raise our three young children. We made the difficult decision to settle in the Fort Collins area, but try to enjoy this wonderful setting whenever possible. We hope other like-minded families, couples, and individuals get to enjoy this slice of heaven as well.
Stella or Marge purchased this house in 2006
Beautiful, private location in a master-planned mountain community. Exceptionally well crafted home with two outbuildings and all the amenities. It is on the river!
Private, yet accessible year-round. Solitude. Wildlife. Scenery. Fishing/Hiking/Walking straight off the back deck. This property offers our family and our guests the 'whole package'.
The bad news is - we didn't see a moose. The good news is, my boyfriend proposed on our first night here! We'll always remember this wonderful cabin. Thanks, Dawn and Patrick.
Absolutely beautiful home with even better views! We were welcomed by the deer, they visited each morning and most evenings. We saw the moose on the hillside two of the evenings. The home is very well kept and very well appointed. By far my favorite family vacation thus far, we will be back.
We had stayed at Starry Nights a year and a half ago. It was wonderful then and again this time. The pace is neat in all ways,a very inviting,well-kept home. Everything worked we enjoyed relaxing around the fireplace. We went to Beaver Meadows for sledding.Great place for kids in the snow. Dining there was very satisfying. We recommend this place highly for families with children. We will go back again next time we need to take a break from work and school. The quietness, big sky, wonderful sunrises and sunsets, and bubbling creek (in Spring) are awesome, literally.
My wife and I enjoyed and wonderful week at this moutain cabin over New Years 2011. This was a perfect and peaceful time for us to spend together in this beautiful home and setting. We enjoyed daily hikes in our snow shoes and peaceful quiet evenings by the fire.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We had a wonderful time. My husband and daughter and I live in Wellington so we are familiar with the area. We have stayed at numerous of cabins up and along the Poudre Canyon. We wanted to try something different and so we decided to look at the Red Feather area. We are so happy that we did. My brother flew in from Corpus Christi to take some leave from the Navy. Mom and dad had no idea that he was coming. Then my parents and sister drove out from Kansas. So that was the first surprise. Then we surprised my dad with the amazing Starry Nights cabin. He thought we were "trespassing"! It was hilarious. It was my dads 50th birthday on Thanksgiving Day so we blown away that we had rented a cabin for the weekend! The cabin had everything that we needed. FULLY STOCKED! We took family photos for our Christmas cards around the gazebo and the cute little bridge that goes over the creek. They turned out amazing. THANK YOU! My parents then went and took there first carriage ride down at Beaver Meadows Stables that is conveniently located 3-5 minutes away! My brother (24) and sister (17) loved feeling like little kids as the slept in the bunk beds. My parents "enjoyed" their loft bedroom. :) My husband and I appreciated the pac n play that you had for our little 15 month old. I couldn't think of any other way to spend our weekend together as a family. We owe it all to you all for being so accomidating. I dont think I can say thank you enough.
God Bless you all!
We enjoyed our second stay at Starry nights in January 2011. We love the floor plan and all the kitchen supplies. You don't have to worry about not having salt, coffee or even a cup of tea. You need to bring groceries of course, but any way you want to cook it is not a problem. We enjoyed the cozy fireplace and most of all, the peace and quiet. We watched movies (many of which they have) and relaxed. I recommend this home to anyone wanting a nice get away or even vacation.
We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday in August with our two children and grandchildren at your beautifal gorgeous mountain home. The listing description was accurate and the location was great. We decided to stay there because the name and pix were so inviting. The property was well maintained when we arrived. The immenities were wonderful. The decor was great and you could not have asked for better accomodations. We took the children fishing and there are sooooo many lakes. The stay was comfortable and enjoyable. What a beautiful mountain home. There had quain gift shops, restaurants and the children went hose back riding. There is plenty to do. We will definitely be back and recommend this property to friends and family. !! Caryl
