Very impressed!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Rocky Broad River Cabin for 1 week with another couple. Great choice for two couples. The cabin is extremelly well maintained and very clean. The scenery is gorgeous! To fall asleep every night under the sound of the river is an amazing feeling and so peaceful! This place is under-rated, we will definitely be back. One more thing: the owner, a pleasure to deal with, very helpful and accommodating.

My stay @ Rocky Broad River Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My stay @ this beautiful cabin was outstanding.! Broad River was up from all the rain, and watching the kayaks coming down the river was so much fun. Everything we would need was supplied in the home and the advantage of being so close to all the stores and restaurants was a plus. Taking the river boat cruise was not to miss. We learned a lot about the area from the river boat guide and dinner @ Lake Lure Inn was on our last night. We plan to do this again in the future. Thanks for a wonderful 4 days.

Just departed from cabin and...

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely LOVED it. It was even better in person. As I recall I was so excited that I jumped up and down when we first came in. This place is great! EXCEPTIONALLY clean, extremely cute. We took the advise of the owners and had a fabulous dinner at The Esmerelda, which is 1 mile down the road. They served the best beef tenderloin we have ever eaten. The cabin is within 25 minutes of the Biltmore and the drive there is very scenic. Also, go to Miranda's for their delicious cinnamon rolls, and La Strada for pizza. All of these were by suggestion of the owner's and were spot on. We definitely will be back either to this cabin or will try one of the others offered. The location of this cabin is perfect, right on the river which is beautiful, as well as the view of Chimney Rock. 5 stars! Thanks again for a great time!!!

We had the best time! So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

First off, Charlene , the owner is amazing! Very attentive and a pleasure to work with. This place is located .2 miles into the Village of Chimney Rock. Walk to everything. The cabin is very very clean and the river is amazing! I could not tell if I was exhausted or just that relaxed! I am looking forward to the chance I get to return!

Great location, next to the river, views of Chimney Rock Park

  • 5 of 5

This is a new log cabin and has great views of Chimney Rock State Park. It is next to the river and there are not many properties in this area that are riverfront. There is a stone walkway down to a covered picnic area that is complete with fans and lights. You can't get any closer to the river than this! Unique property as there are not many newer buildings in this area due to being extemely difficult to build next to the river. No neighbors right next door and can only see one other house from this location. TV worked fine... just has to be on the right channel for direct tv! Wifi is available at eateries in Chimney Rock and was great to get away, relax and step back in time!

Nice view out back windows

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here 3 nights. It rained the entire time we were there; so we had no tv reception. Wouldve been better to at least had wi-fi. Cabin would be better with easier access to actually get down to the river...instead of having to just make a path somewhere to get down from the cabin. A porch on the back deck would have made this cabin soooo much nicer. There is a small porch off one of the bedrooms, but it still gets lots of street noise. Parking is very hazardous....more like just pulling off on the side of the road. I wouldnt walk to the village from here because traffic on this road is too hazardous. Yes, the river drowns out lots of the street noise; but you still know you are right beside a busy highway. Lots of literature inside to find things to do. It was very clean and well-maintained. However, the price is right.

Owner's Response: Our cabin is equipped with satellite Direct TV service which unfortunately can be affected by inclement weather. WiFi is offered to our guests by a number of restaurants in Chimney Rock Village (4 block walk or drive to downtown from cabin). Being directly on the river unfortunately there are a number of governmental building restrictions placed on us including walkways to the river (disturbing the natural habitat) and building decking in the river’s floodway. For our guest use, we have a stone walkway down to the covered picnic area by the River, which is complete with lights, ceiling fans, picnic table and chairs. Hickory Nut Gorge is very scenic, but narrow all along the river. Street parking is the norm from Bat Cave to Lake Lure including Chimney Rock due to topography.
