About Kenneth Lee

We have owned our unit for about 10 years, but have been traveling to Mammoth for over 15 years. Our children started skiing at an early age, and now they board and ski all over the mountain. We've stayed at many complexes all throughout Mammoth Lakes, but always came back to Snowcreek because of the low density of buildings, spacious units, walking areas, plentiful parking and, of course, the beautiful meadow. Since Mammoth is a year round resort area, each season is special. The fairways at Sierra Star and Snowcreek Golf Course are as green as Augusta in the early summer. The hikes are plentiful, the many lakes are a fisherman's paradise and the fall colors are amazing. The size of Mammoth Mountain and the diversity of the ski trails are unique to California. Catch your first lift off the bottom, and the whole mountain opens up allowing even the intermediate skiier to experience the mountain from one end to the other. We try to get to Mammoth whenever possible, enjoying the time away if even just for long weekends. Summer months are filled with various local music festivals, opportunities to explore Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile, or spending an afternoon beaching at June Lake. Spring and Fall are wonderful seasons for bike rides, long walks or a massage in town. Coming from the LA area, we love the fresh mountain air, views of the snow-capped mountains and the opportunities to see the amazing star-filled skies on a typical clear night. Our goal is to provide a guest experience that our friends and family would appreciate. We've furnished our place with all of the amenities and features that make it cozy and comfortable. It's our second home and we hope that you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Kenneth Lee chose Gold Country / High Sierra

We travel fairly extensively, but coming to Mammoth is always serene, visually breathtaking and an easy drive from LA. There are many alternative vacation options in Mammoth, but we specifically decided to purchase a unit at Snowcreek because of its well maintained property, lovely and generous open grounds with walking trails, ponds, meadow and the flowing mountain creek. Being surrounded by the snow-capped Minarets and Mammoth Mountain also bring a special atmosphere. We also enjoy being proximate to the Snowcreek Athletic Club, which provides tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, exercise classes and a restaurant. Parking for the units is ample, which is a truly unique amenity at Snowcreek. From our unit, it is a short walk to the Red Line shuttle stop, as well as to the 9 hole Snowcreek Golf Course, which now has plans to expand to a full 18 holes. Another asset is the proximity to June Mountain, Yosemite, Mono Lake, Bodie and the small towns surrounding Mammoth Lakes, each with it's own character and charms.

What makes this condo unique

Since #43 is an end corner unit, it is very peaceful. It is located away from the road, which also adds to its tranquility and quiet. Outside our unit, we are surrounded by resort grounds with wild flowers and a small grove of birch trees, and located next to the Jacuzzi building. A short 5 min walk to the Winter shuttle bus service allows you to leave your car at the resort to avoid the occasional mountain parking hassles. Our wire-less internet, propane gas bar-b-que, spacious, comfortable accommodations, and fully furnished kitchen make this truly a home-like setting.


Only 60 minutes to Yosemite, 30 minutes to June Lake, 15 minutes to Mono Lake. Proximate to Snowcreek Athletic Club (additional fee required) for all gym and work out activities, including massages. Across the street from Snowcreek Golf Course. Just a great location minutes from town and the creekside bikepath.

We had a great stay at the condo. My wife and I traveled with her parents and our two children, and the layout was perfect. We loved that everybody had their own bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need for some casual cooking. We found the location to be ideal as well. Check in and check out was easy, and owners were very helpful and responsive. We can't wait to come back!

Perfect for 2 families!

Perfect for our 2 families- 2 Master bedrooms with private baths, extra bedroom with plenty of sleeping space for the teenage boys while the girls had their own space in the loft that contained 3 beds. Lots of seating room in living and dining room for all of us to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of cook/bake wear that were in excellent condition. I only say this because we have been to other units where the pots and pans were very old and worn. Pantry even had paper goods in case you needed foil, napkins or plastic wrap- thats a big plus! I have always packed my own but it was nice to see a well stocked pantry as back up. Very comfortable place...Great location- easy parking. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful set up for skiig

Enjoyed our winter escape at this well equipped 3 level condo. Bedrooms/bathrooms are all on bottom level with living spaces on middle level and loft bedroom that accommodates extra guest. Nice parking to accommodate our stay in public lot and Jacuzzis spa build within walking distance. Owner Ken was responsive to all our questions. Favorite place upstairs nook off of the kitchen to what the snow coming down. If your party is ok with stairs you will love the well equipped location on shuttle route condo.

Great condo!!

Had a great time at this condo. Large enough so that our group was able to congregate in the large open 2nd floor area (kitchen, dining area, living area). Kitchen was well stocked; all we had to bring up were the supplies we needed. Great location and GREAT parking, which can sometimes be challenging at other Mammoth condo complexes. No shortage of places to park and the open grounds and space is also a nice feature of the complex. Great stay and great time.

$500 security and damage deposit is required and is held in an escrow account with VRBO. After checkout, the unit will be cleaned and the cleaning fee will be deducted from the $500 security deposit. The standard minimum cleaning fee is $170. A higher cleaning fee may be imposed if the housekeeping service finds that the unit requires more time to clean due to the irresponsibility or inattentiveness of the renters. The security deposit, less cleaning fee, is returned to the renter when the condo keys are returned. The balance of the security deposit is deposited back to the credit card used by the renter within 14 days of departure.
