We are a group of 13, 50 plus women. We were looking to celebrate a belated 50 birthday for one of our group. The Beach House proved to be the perfect spot. The house was beautiful and well equipped. We found the beds comfortable and the rooms big enough for all our paraphernalia. The kitchen was large the dinning area accommodated us very well.
We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well as the hot tub. Each morning we were able to walk the road along the lake and view the beautiful Lake Michigan.
The house is located close to the Saugatuck-Douglas area as well as South Haven and even Grand Rapids. One our days was cloudy so we drove into Grand Rapids to see the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum.
The owner Michael was very nice to work with and Christine the Property Manager was accommodating and willing to answer any questions we had.
I can imagine spending many more Girls Weekend at The Beach House
The four of us enjoyed three wonderful nights in this beautiful home by the lakeside. The drive to the house overlooks the lovely cliffs of the Michigan shores with exquisite sunset views. It is a beautiful home and extremely comfortable. As a cook enthusiast, kitchens are important to me, the kitchen was excellent for both cooking and dining. The landscaping is gorgeous with abundant trees. We spent a comfortable evening in the large screened in porch. I recommend this home and would certainly return!
My husband, three adult children, two inlaws and three grandchildren spent a wonderful week at "The Beachhouse" in Saugatuck. The house is up to date, spacious and full of light with wonderful options for time together or moments alone. Besides the large kitchen-dining area-great room, there is a lovely screened in porch (perfect spot for the children and their toys) and a smaller living room for quiet talks or puzzles or other non-toddler pursuits. We toasted marshmallows around the fire pit and spent parts of most days on the small, but pleasant private beach. Though the house does not have lake views, it is quite close to the lake and provided great options for power walking in a beautiful setting. Michael, the owner, was thorough, professional and quite helpful. We loved our time at the house.
My extended family and I have rented this exquisite beach house for two summers. We are a large family but we all fit so comfortably in the house. The owners have taken great care to make sure all the amenities are there for us -- ample bedrooms with plenty of linens, multiple baths (mostly en suite) with extra towels, a fully-stocked kitchen with every appliance and necessity, a screened-in porch, and a hot tub and out door shower -- with close access to a private beach. The home is immaculate but not fussy so we feel at home. Unlike other beach homes we have rented in Saugatuck, the owners have ensured that the house is well-equipped but not crammed with the owners' possessions. It is open in the public spaces but also has separate living areas, like the charming and light-infused sitting room with French doors off the living room, where small groups or individuals can gather privately. All the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable and not at all worn. In fact, we noticed that the owner updated the window coverings this summer, installing wooden blinds. The owners also are responsive if there is an issue. The separate laundry facilities and room, complete with folding and hanging area, make it easy for a large family to stay at the house. The house is gorgeously appointed with trees, shrubs and flowers. The grounds have a fire pit, which we used in the evenings. It feels very private and, yet, you are only a block from the lake. We couldn't have been happier there.
13 senior girlfriends just had our reunion at this beautiful home! It is even lovelier, bigger and brighter than the photos show! The kitchen is huge and worked so well for our teams cooking dinner. There was so much space for us to spread out on the three levels...so well equipped right down to beach chairs and firewood for the bonfire! We have booked for next year for even longer, as there is so much to do and we couldn't fit it all in. This is right at Douglas Beach, close to Saugatuck, South Haven, and Holland! This is a top notch home!
We couldn't have been happier with our vacation stay at this house - everything was impeccable and very well thought out. The home was even better than the pictures and the owner was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We stayed with 4 families, including 8 adults and 7 kids and everyone was very comfortable with their accommodations. It was the perfect spot for our annual beach trip and we hope to return in the future!
