We are both Montana natives, and love the rugged beauty of the Gallatin Valley. Though we love to travel ourselves, we can't imagine moving away from this beautiful area, and in particular the Bozeman area. Zak was a property manager up at the Yellowstone Club, a multi-million dollar association of homeowners, where only the best was expected. We carry those same expectations in our vacation rental. We run a successful home-based business and have ample time to be outdoors. Every time we fly over the majestic mountains coming home to Bozeman Montana, we breathe a deep sigh and know that we're coming to the best home a person could ask for.
My husband and I have enjoyed our "home away from home." It has given us a place to gather with our extended family who live in Bozeman, and to drive and see many sights in the area. It was so much better than staying in a hotel! May God bless you and your family and those who stay here in the days ahead.
The home was beautiful and well kept. Detailed explanations of expectations while in the home and upon departure were readily available in a neatly organized binder sitting on the kitchen table upon arrival. All areas of the home were clean and everything one could need was in the home. I will return to Bozeman and I will rent this home again!
I will suggest that a new coffee pot be purchased for the home. The one in there is extremely slow to make a pot of coffee. Also, a listing of television channels would be appreciated. We never did find any local channels to watch for local current events, weather, etc.
Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us to enjoy.
kara the owner was very easy to work with.Ex; NEEDED CRIB FOR BABY SHE MADE SURE THERE WAS ONE FOR OUR ARRIVAL.Lots of space allowing for privacy and rooms with beds for lg. family gatherings.Located not far from bzn.airport or downtown bozeman or the mnts. of big sky or paradise valley our playgrond.Well be back for more real soon, thanx only reason did not give 5 stars was it was not in our mnt.playground however close to fun and exciting downtown bozeman.
We enjoyed our stay and our family spent 4 wonderful, fun-filled days together. They enjoyed the pond and the weather was beautiful as well. Would recommend this property to others.
Talk about a no-stress check-in! We arrived late at night and gained access to the home with no problems. The neighborhood is just lovely and I didn't hesitate to walk freely around it or the paved walk around the pond- even at night!
The home is well stocked with condiments and cooking staples- a very pleasant surprise! In addition, there were ample cleaning supplies, as well as many sundries. Did I mention our excursions on the pedal boat? What fun! There are two beaches on the pond and we had a blast swimming and floating. We really did feel at home!
Please visit Pop's Country Store, located at the entry of the community..the owners are great, the prices are reasonable and they have a little bit of everything, including tubes @ $4 a day!!
The master suite is very comfortable and clean. I was a bit disappointed that the jets on the giant tub weren't working during our visit- still, bathing in it was wonderful. The additional bedrooms and bunks were also quite adequate- everyone slept like a baby! We didn't need the futon, which was quite thin, but the space is large and roomy with quick access to the lower level restroom. There were PLENTY of towels, linens, extra blankets, and extra pillows.
If I had to list any complaints, the only one would be that the living room rug and sofas could stand a good shampooing. Other than that- the home is well cared for and it was a pleasure being a guest.

Nice view from kitchen sink. We are used to being in the country but the house was conveniently located near my daughter's house. It would have been nice if the jets on the tub worked. We enjoyed our stay though.
The River Rock Retreat was perfect for our daughter's college graduation weekend! Easily accommodated our family of 8 plus guests for an open house celebration. Kara & Zak's home was lovely and provided everything we needed. They were easy to work with and very responsive to our questions and inquiries. The location was beautifully situated near a pond, bike path and convenience store. We would recommend this property for others who are looking for a family gathering event!
