About Suzann Pilot
We take pride in our lovely homes. We have three homes on our 25 acres that we have carefully built and kept private from each other, while taking advantage of the gorgeous nature all around. The Olympic Peninsula is such a joy to experience and we love to help people have the best experience possible. The Pond Cottage is our latest addition and although it is our smallest home, it has every charming amenity; tasteful rustic design, fine comfortable beds and a full quality kitchen. We have had delight in learning that everyone who stays there loves the Pond Cottage and we have had many happy guests.
Suzann Pilot purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Suzann Pilot chose Port Angeles
There will be no question why we bought this property when you see our place--it's spectacular. The Olympic Mountains , our ponds with beautiful natural meadows all around and easy access to the two major towns in the area gives us a chance to savor all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer.
What makes this Cottage unique
A peaceful, private place to come home and relax after a day enjoying the multitude of adventures and wonders of the Olympic Peninsula. This northern-most section of the United States has more diversity than anywhere else in the nation and its all a short drive from here.

My girlfriend and I love the Pond cottage. This is our second year coming here and it is always a relaxing retreat. This sanctuary is our favorite get-away of the year and already look forward to coming back here next year. The owners are fantastic and make you feel like part of the family; from the delicious cookies you get to the help in getting your car brushed off after a snow storm. If you have never stayed here you you are missing out on a hidden gem!
Cozy and Quiet Pondside Paradise
Everything about our stay was wonderful, we can’t wait to come back! The location was fantastic, ambience was charming, and the host family was very helpful. I highly recommend the Pond Cottage!
Loved the cabin. Great getaway. Peaceful and quiet.
Such a cute cabin. Had everything we needed. So quiet and enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the fire pit. It was just what we wanted.
Very clean, private - perfect. Will return
We had an extended day hiking trip on the peninsula and wished we had booked more nights in this lovely cabin. Suzann has paid attention to every detail - the cabin and grounds are meticulous. There is complete privacy without feeling too remote and access is easy to the park or the towns. The interior is so open and light thanks to the many large windows giving the feeling of being outdoors. Every evening and morning we enjoyed watching deer browsing by the pond. Suzann directed us to a nearby produce/grocery store featuring locally produced fare - suited all of our dining needs. We stayed at a few other spots around the Park but none could compare. When we return, we will definitely be staying here.
simple, clean, and fresh cookies upon arrival!
Great place to stay
We stayed as a family in the beautiful and cozy pond cabin. Was perfeclty clean, looked pretty new and was just a great place to stay. Location is about 5 or 10min off the highway and about 15min from Port Angeles. Great spot for whale watching and for the Olympic NP. Hosts were very supportive in every way.
The Pond Cottage is only a few miles from Olympic National Park and adjacent to Olympic National Forest. All that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer is just a few miles away: Gorgeous clear rivers, waterfalls, hot springs, glacier carved lakes, pristine beaches with sea stacks, opportunities to see Orcas and Humpback whales, trout, salmon and halibut fishing, kayaking and all level of trails and hikes, lavendar farms, Indian museums and so very much more.
