Anthony & Nancy Eastman purchased this farmhouse in 2001
Stayed here while on a trip with my mother and siblings (most of us 50+). Had extended family in the area over for dinner, and they were all impressed as well.
The property itself is beautiful, and was quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the resident animals, the views, and the firepit (did not get an opportunity to make use of the hot tub, but it was ready to go on our arrival as well). Owner Tony was very friendly and met us on arrival and departure, also gave us some eggs from the chickens. There is a large grocery store within 5 miles or so (would be somewhat difficult to navigate to without a GPS though), and it's also a short and scenic drive up to Mission Ridge.
There is Wi-Fi and a TV in the basement (that we didn't make use of), also a few board games provided. For travelers with children, I'd probably say they'd need to be the type who enjoy camping/outdoors rather than relying wholly on electronic entertainment.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was so peaceful and relaxing for all of us. Didn't want to leave. Highly recommend if you are an animal/nature lover, looking for a nice getaway - off the beaten path, but not so far off it that it's a real effort to get back to it when/if you need to.
The owner is very friendly and greeted us on arrival. The setting is beautiful and quiet. There are donkeys, sheep and chickens on the farm and a dozen fresh eggs were provided for our breakfast the next morning. There's a hot tub, outdoor fire pit and grill. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a great meal. Local stores are just a few miles into town. Beautiful scenic views and a gorgeous night sky!
If you want to relax this is place to go!
