Olympia Mansion - Written up in Coastal Living Magazine, this 1910 mansion has more than it's looks to offer. A gourmet kitchen 6 bedrooms and 5 baths, located just minutes from the state capital, children's museum, restaurants, and shops.
Wonderful property. Better than the pictures! Fully stocked with everything needed for a large group. The best VRBO ever!
The Mansion was the absolute perfect place for our stay in Olympia WA for our son's wedding. The property and surroundings were pristine, beautiful, and very comfortable with accommodations for a large group of family and friends.
The kitchen, though some might view it as small by today's standards, was nonetheless very well laid out with a good flow for preparing large meals, and was additionally well-appointed with gourmet appliances, tools, and finishes. All of our guests slept comfortably in the lovely, quiet bedrooms and surroundings. Every detail was well-appointed, even down to lovely soaps, and shampoos and conditioners in each shower/bathing area. Ample towels and linens were provided, with double washers and dryers available for use which helped us to limit packing an excess of clothing. The porches overlooking the Puget Sound were incredibly beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The grounds were also lovely and well-kept, with the sound of the natural waterfall in the rear of the home always in the background.
The home is situated near the Farmer's Market, as well as within close vicinity to shops for supplies and leisure, as well as for walking in the beauty of the area. The owner of the property was wonderful to work with, very kind and accommodating, with attention to all of our needs and requests.
We cannot recommend this property highly enough!
This beautiful home was perfect in every way for our weekend birthday gathering! With enough bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting areas for all, the home also is amazingly quiet at night for sleeping! We had dinner catered in for 18 and the space worked easily, with everyone enjoying this historical, graceful home.
Marisa has done a beautiful job of decorating - comfortable yet enhances the home's character! The location couldn't be handier for walks into town, as well as overlooking the water with a beautiful view out of every window. I highly recommend this home - we will be back for sure! Memorable birthday I won't forget!
Couldn't have been happier! Perfect location, lovely View, excellent condition, warm and inviting interior. For a home built in 1914 it has been well maintained and is simply but lovely decorated. Lots of space and all the necessities. Will definitely rent again.
Marisa is absolutely wonderful to work with and has a great heart to work with military families like ours (two retired military families and one active duty groom). Our daughter had to postpone her courthouse wedding by one week because her fiance's deployment was extended. Marisa was extremely gracious in accomodating us without penalties and even let us move in a day earlier than planned, because we had 30 people coming from out of town. The house became our main hub, where all the meals were served and everybody hung out together and got to know each other. I cooked all the meals from scratch in the kitchen and everything worked out wonderfully. I cannot recommend this owner and her lovely property highly enough!! Wonderful historic house, literally "wraps" itself around the people staying there and extremely conducive to great family time!
Getting ready for the noon time wedding ceremony at the court house and reception at the Water Street Cafe' was extremely easy, because of the number of bathrooms and the lay out of the rooms. The third floor was "the bridal floor" with our daughter and her bridesmaids staying there, the second floor was "the groom's family's floor" and my sons and their cousins all enjoyed camping out in the basement. The pool table was used constantly, and conversation constant in both the library and the living room.
Parking was very easy, with ample parking on the same side of the street right at the entrance of the gate, along with a large courtyard to turn around and drop off folks, even with all the allotted parking spots taken.
You can walk to downtown in a short walk, but the weather was cold and stormy so we passed on that.
I must also mention that Marisa had such a kind heart that she waived the check-out deadline, so that we could get everybody back to the airport and still check out without a rush. We would love to rent this house again if we ever have another big family occasion in the Puget Sound area.
Thank you Marisa, for taking such good care of our family and making it possible for all of us to enjoy your awesome lovely friendly great house!
This home is a love story. We first rented in 2008 having a large family (7 children) from out of town in need of shelter for our son's wedding. Each room has a charm of it's own. I was able to prepare the rehearsal dinner in the gourmet kitchen and arrange my daughter in law's flowers in the dinning room. As I sat up late that night I was overwhelmed by the sense of belonging. Later we moved to Olympia and we needed a home big enough to house our family again for Christmas 2013. This time we celebrated with 7 grandchildren and again the memories will never fade. The boys still talk about the Christmas lights on the boats across the way. We told them stories while they anticipated Santa. It was magical. To this day they believe every house should have a basement. Two years later we have another reason to gather together. One of our daughters is getting married and wants the household to be together again. Looking forward to a Charming Welcome Home. Perfect location, Well-maintained, very clean. The owner Marisa is an Angel. The local Children's museum provided the best entertainment for our 7 grandchildren. It's one of the best.
