|Minimum Stay||4 nights|
A beautiful new home very privately set in a natural forest on almost 9 acres of land surrounded by hundreds of acres of forestry land. When you drive through the stone pillars at the entrance of this home, you enter another world of beautiful indigenous trees, old stone walls, beautiful gardens, and a quiet, private oasis.
This home boasts 8 bedrooms, and 4 1/2 baths, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, a 3 season sun-room and a fabulous porch furnished with designer furniture. The main living area has cherry floors, and a large fireplace . Furnished with plenty of comfortable sofas and club chairs, this is a perfect home for a family reunion or for 2-3 families to share. It is fully equipped for young children (high chair, crib, port-a-crib, etc.) and comes with toys and games suitable for children of many ages. There is a built-in barbecue, a library filled with games and novels, a big-screen TV and a ping pong table. Outdoors there is a stone patio and landscaped gardens.
The main kitchen is truly a cook's kitchen. Granite counters, cherry floors, an Italian espresso machine---truly a kitchen for those who enjoy cooking. Outdoors there are covered sitting areas as well as stone terraces and numerous professionally landscaped gardens. There is a walk-way to the most beautiful, undeveloped and non-recreational lake in the Berkshires. The location is perfect for excursions to all the nearby attractions, but the home and environs are so beautiful, you may never want to leave!
We built this home for our own extended family, and we have frequently hosted 16-18 people here with everyone comfortably housed and content. Indeed, as one guest put it, 'It's as if you designed the perfect home for our particular family's getaway!'
What an extraordinary experience it was staying in your home! The property is gorgeous, and your home is beautiful and comfortable. We all loved being there and look forward to our next visit to the Berkshires.

We rented this house for 5 days, for a Thanksgiving family celebration on our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. We were a large group, ages 2 to 81. The owner, Sharon, was clear and consistent regarding the fee. In the back and forth emails leading up to our arrival, Sharon could not possibly have been more accommodating. Her pride in the house and its amenities, (for example, the outstandingly outfitted chef's kitchen) was evident. Upon arrival, we were bowled over by the setting: a secluded road, a large outdoor play area perfect for football and frisbee, a gorgeous lake (which froze over during our stay), plenty of stacked wood for the fireplace. Inside, the many rooms are large, clean, and beautifully furnished. The house has three levels, and we used them all- the lower level for bedrooms, a ping pong tournament, play area for the baby, football watching and family video screening on the large screen TV/DVD. The main level has more bedrooms, that terrific kitchen, fireplace, living and dining room, large porch area. The upper level has more large bedrooms and a washer/dryer. There is ample room for being together, and plenty of quiet spots for some private time. The location: minutes from town, with its movie theater, bowling alley and many fine restaurants and fitness possibilities (we did yoga classes), is also a huge plus. Every one of us was comfortable and thrilled with the accommodations. Sharon promptly returned our security deposit, and even gathered together the stuff we forgot to pack up. While I was tempted to keep this amazing place a secret, I decided to post this review due to my respect for Sharon, and out of gratitude for having been able to celebrate a great family milestone in such a perfect setting.
We have enjoyed this lovely home over MLK weekend for two consecutive years now. We love it! We are four families with young children and this house not only fits us all, but everyone has plenty of space to relax and read, watch TV, play games, or just enjoy great conversation. The owner is very organized and has filled the house with everything a large group needs. We are definitely coming back.
I recently rented the house for a three day weekend. Our family had an amazing time. The common spaces are simply incredible. The outside porch is very relaxing with breathtaking views. The house is large, clean, and very comfortable. We are avid bike riders and the area bike riding is quite nice - rolling hills and nice scenery. We intend to return -- I suspect the fall foliage must be spectacular.
I have been there is the past. The setting is beautiful: quiet, no immediate neighbors, in a rural area close to cultural activities (Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow...). House is beautiful, fully equipped. I was there with my extended family, and there was sufficient room that we could each have private conversations when we wanted to, but we could gather as a whole family (especially for meals!). We hope to go back, once we can clear our schedules.
