Overview

About the property

Four bedrooms, 3 full baths, will accommodate 8 comfortably. Mountains views

A hill top location with privacy and charm offers one of the best views in the Adirondacks. You can see from Giant mountain to the Southeast through the Great range all the way to the Northwest and still are only a mile from the village of Keene and 14 miles from Lake Placid. Deer, turkeys and partridge are daily visitors. Multiple varieties of maple, oak and birch all show their foliage for breathtaking fall colors. The sunsets are beautiful with a full exposure of the western sky over the mountain tops towards Lake Placid. The view is facilitated by a deck and walkway on the entire South and West sides of this log home. The large field stone chimney houses a Vermont castings stove for warmth and ambiance. Both the kitchen and the dining area are open to the great room with it's cathedral ceiling and large windows on 3 sides. The artwork and furniture are authentic Adirondack and created by local artists.

$350 per night with a two night minimum + $150 cleaning fee + refundable $400 security deposit. Weekly $2400 with a $150 cleaning fee + $400 security deposit.

Beautiful home inside and out on an amazing property surrounded by the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

This lodge was meticulously taken care of and stocked with everything you would need for your stay. They have literally went above and beyond to make sure there is absolutely everything you would need. Inside, it is stunning with high wood ceilings and an open floor plan. It is such a welcoming feeling home and so cozy that you will not want to leave. The great room has large windows all around with the most amazing view of the mountains. There is also a large deck with a gorgeous view. We would wrap up in blankets and sit on the deck just enjoying the view and the peacefulness. They were so accommodating when we needed to change a few things with our reservation and extremely responsive. We stayed over our Thanksgiving holiday and it was our best Thanksgiving ever!

A true hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

House was everything we had expected and more. We came for the fall foliage, which was amazing, but so was the house and location. Woke up to 6 deer feeding right in front of the window. Couldn't be happier with whole experience. Can't wait for a return trip!

Wonderful home; gracious hosts

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our college roommates reunion trip. The house is spacious and comfortable, and incredibly well equipped with kitchen equipment--everything you need is there. The views from the deck are breathtaking, and the location is a short drive from Lake Placid, and Whiteface Mountain. Tom and Joy are gracious and helpful hosts, and not at all intrusive. Highly recommended!

Exactly as described +more !

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our stay at this property.

The property is secluded, at the end of a road. Nothing but trees & mountains for views. Great place to get away from it all.

The inside has everything we needed, was immaculate, and very roomy. The huge fire pit at night was a great treat.

The property is as shown in the photos and described in the listing. No surprises.

The property owner was very helpful upon arrival.

Views, privacy and beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

This is a return visit for our family. It fit our needs perfectly. The home is spacious, private and has great views. The walking trails are lovely and more adventurous hikes are nearby. We enjoyed the added benefit of having a doe and two fawns stop by every morning. The owners are welcoming and are nearby to assist if needed. Great place!

Map

Car: necessary

The town of Keene is located in the famous High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park. There is great hiking and camping and uncrowded roads for sightseeing. Lake Champlain is to the East and Lake placid to the west. It is wonderful for curling up before a fire or for the most demanding of outdoor activities. There are many good restaurants and evening activities in Lake Placid and the surrounding area. In Summer and Fall warm days and cool nights are characteristic and the Fall foliage is no more spectacular anywhere in the Northeast. This area offers something for everyone.
