Growing up, our families spent several weeks every year with our cousins at our grandparent's waterfront homes. For my wife it was the Galveston shore, and for me it was the south branch of the Potomac in West Virginia.
Chip purchased this House in 2002
Why Chip chose Horseshoe Bay
We couldn't resist the opportunity this home gave us to one day provide the same memories for our family. Renting our home for family reunions is always extra special for us. We know we're helping create memories for your family, just like the memories which led us to buy this property!
What makes this House unique
Texas lake and river shores are often left dry as they battle the local climate. This home is on the shore of one of the very few constant level lakes in Texas, Lake LBJ. The Lower Colorado River Authority manages the dams along the Colorado River to keep this lake level constant year-round. Another benefit of our location is the LCRA preservation land opposite us on our cove. It delivers a great view of water and preservation land from the back patio and decks, with common sightings of the hill-country wildlife that calls this preservation land home.

Great house. Big house and excellent back yard.
Loved that the water was a few steps away. House has a lot of beds for big families. Great place to rent. The only thing was that there was no restroom in the bottom room, had to go to second floor to use restroom. But other then that everything else was great. I recommend this place for a great vacation
We had a great time making spring break memories. This was a nice, spacious, and comfortable house. We had a small issue when we first got there, and the owners were very quick to solve it. We highly recommend this property.
Would recommend this place.
This place was perfect for our Spring Break. The kids loved the different levels of the house and since it was cooler weather the downstairs game room kept them busy. There were lots of game for the kids .
Very accommodating for large groups
Great quiet spot right off the lake. There is plenty of outside seating and you can hang out away from bedrooms if someone wants to nap. One downfall was that we ended up using the neighbors' doc because there was no ladder from which to get out of the water. Beds were all super comfortable! We went for july 4th and could see the fireworks from the top balcony. I love the large family room on the bottom level, would be great if there was a small fridge there too. I would stay here again.
Perfect for the weekend getaway.
A great value for that area.
Peaceful spot for a family vacation
We had a great time at the Horseshoe Hideaway. My wife, daughter, and I caught perch and catfish off the back patio in the evenings and enjoyed all of the deer and other wildlife in the cove. The house was very comfortable and with the multiple levels some of us were able to enjoy quiet naps while others watched the big screen tv on the bottom level without disturbing anyone. This property is tucked back in a nice peaceful cove, so there was very little boat traffic. The lake opens up just a couple hundred yards away which made easy access to and from the lake. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our 2016 family summer vacation.
The resort community of Horseshoe Bay is located on the southern-most shores of beautiful constant-level Lake LBJ, deep in the heart of rustic central Texas hill country. The immediate area offers all the trappings of a lake resort community, including several highly-acclaimed golf courses. The small towns of the Texas Hill Country are known for their charming wineries, berry and peach farms, antique shops, German bakeries, beer gardens, and Texas BBQ joints. In the spring, the hill country landscape is blanketed in wildflowers. In the summer and fall, the towns have their local art & music festivals, chili cook-offs, and of course the annual dragboat race in downtown Marble Falls.
Other Activities: napping in hammock, watching wildlife
