Located at the end of a quiet cul de sac, this 4 BR house is right on the lake's edge. The house has a nice size front porch with great views of the lake. It has a private dock that you can swim from. There is even a rope swing into the lake! The clear fresh water lake is great for swimming, fishing or quietly canoeing.
Close to the Bourne Bridge, ocean beaches, bike paths, restaurants and antique shopping.
We had a wonderful time on picture lake. It was the perfect location for a long awaited family vacation. The house is felt very much like home to all of us. The house was kept in great condition with plenty of space to roam around. From the views from the porch to the hot tub and the grill, this property has everything to make your stay at the cape comfortable and enjoyable. Ellen was an amazing host helped us with any issues we had although we pretty much didnt have any. The main conversation on the drive back home was how we couldn't wait to come back because due to the weather we were not able to take full advantage of the property (we really wanted to kayak) and we genuinely had an amazing time. We would love to come back sooner rather than later.
Owner was very responsive, house and amenities made for a very pleasant stay. The only problem was that it took a while to heat up (it was winter) and we initially didn't find the thermostat for the first floor (it was behind a door).
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this property for both it's beautiful views and the excellent service provided by Ellen and the Memorable Getaways team.
We enjoyed our second stay at this lovely spot on the Cape. This house is large enough (with the deck and multiple bedrooms) to entertain friends and invite family to stay. We loved the lake and rented a paddle board from a local vendor to use on the lake....the house comes with a canoe and a paddle boat that we also used (also bicycles). We discovered a great place to walk the dogs every morning (Monk's woods) with shoreline and wooded trails. We tried out many beaches (there is a laminated guide in the house for nearby beaches) and also traveled to Martha's Vineyard for a day and other beaches in Falmouth. We cooked most of our meals (great seafood vendor south on Rte 28A) in the large kitchen that is well set up and lacks nothing.
We came from the midwest to meet with our son and family who live in NH. This home on the lake was bright, spacious, peaceful and comfortable. Special memories were made as we enjoyed the lake, paddleboat, canoe and deck. The owner was very easy to work with and we would choose this location again.
My family and I all had such a great time!! All of the boys spent a lot of time fishing and playing on the cute beach! Sitting on the balcony in the morning enjoying the view and quiet relaxing time!! There are so many other activities to do in the area, I wish we had more time! Would definitely go back again!
