Location is key in Real Estate and it is key to travel too. Enjoy your visit to Savannah by staying in the Real Historic District! Located between Madison and Pulaski Squares is an 1852 townhouse built by Julia Tucker. In the townhouse is a lovely complete 1 br apartment that provides you with all the amenities of your own home. Across the street is old St. John's Church.
You will hear the same bells that roused General Sherman from his sleep during the War Between The States. You can walk to Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House restaurant, all the historic homes, shops, and restaurants. Paula Deen's restaurant is just down the street.
River Street and all of Savannah's sights are just an easy, and beautiful walk away. And...we are only 18 miles to Tybee Island - and its beaches. We even provide beach towels and sun screen!!!!

Historic Savannah has so much to offer and do. Our vacation rental is in the heart of it all.
A great location, walkable to all the sights in the historic district. Great location in the heart of it all, yet we have a private back garden that is quiet and a great place to relax and recharge.
Everything about my stay at Julia's Hideaway was perfect. Ken was extremely accommodating from booking to departure. He is very prompt to respond to emails and phone calls to coordinate arrival time/answer questions and is very friendly and knowledgeable about the beautiful city. The thing I love most about Julia's Hideaway is definitely the location. Located steps away from the gorgeous Pulaski square, this true "hideaway" gives you a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle that you get more towards River St, all while still being in walking distance to everything you could possibly want to see. Cute coffee shops nearby, bars, and lots of restaurants as well as the popular Forsyth Park just down the street. To top it off, Julia's Hideaway welcomes pets! What more could you ask for!? Clean, quiet, and equipped with all the necessities and even your very own courtyard space...stay here and you will not be disappointed! Thanks, Ken!
Julia's Hideaway had been our winter home for the past 4 years. It is absolutely a gem in the very heart of the Historical District, with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. Our landlord provided a lot of historical books about Savannah, maps, restaurant suggestions, etc. Our landlord, Ken, was always only a phone call away, and became our friend. The place is immaculate. The courtyard in the back is very private and quaint. We spent many hours out there watching squirrels, listening to birds and relaxing. We highly recommend this lovely hideaway. Our dog, Mae, loved it, too. It is within a block or two from the most beautiful squares in Savannah, and one block from Bull Street. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. EVERYTHING, including Kroger's, is within walking distance.
We stayed for the weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was right in the middle in downtown Savannah, walking distance to shops and the river front. We brought along our Australian Shepherd who also enjoyed his stay! Cute little 1BR apartment with a small kitchen and living room. Owner was very accommodating. Thanks so much for an nice stay!
We enjoyed staying in Julia's parlor this weekend. Sooooo cute. We loved the back deck overlooking the courtyard. Comfy bed & clean! It really is walking distance to so many places. Outstanding price - wayyyy cheaper than any hotel around. We will be back!
Close to many of Savannah's top tourist sites. We loved the walkability and accommodations were exactly as described and pictured. Ken was helpful in making arrangements and we had a great stay! We would highly recommend this VRBO.
Location is correct! Walking distance to everything in the historic district. Townhouse accommodations felt like home - comfortable bed and quiet neighborhood. Very pet friendly and within a hop, skip, and a jump from two lovely squares. I stayed on the second level, and be warned the front entry steps are steep (in accordance to the historic architecture) but the back entry, which goes through the courtyard, is easily managable and quite handy. Ken was quite hospitable! Don't miss Henry's for a delicious, affordable breakfast, or B. Matthews for another delicious but a bit more spendy meal. Check out Zunzi's for amazing subs and if you're into French fare, don't miss Papillote!
