Perfect location, setting and house

  • 5 of 5

Our two favorite northern Michigan towns to visit are Glenn Arbor and Leland and we have always stayed in one or the other. This home is perfectly located between the two towns in a beautiful, private, and peaceful setting. The house itself is incredibly clean and comfortable. We were so happy to be able to take our dog on vacation with us. Well actually, it became his vacation. We hiked for miles on the dog friendly trails in the area and then relaxed in the spacious and cozy living room for the remainder of the evening. We had never been to Market 22 which is just around the corner and to our surprise it had excellent food. We will definitely be repeat visitors.

Charming is the best word I can think of to describe this vacation home. The house is clean and organized, making our stay a comfortable one. The house is nestled in a wooded area with a path to a near by creek that is a must to visit! We are looking forward to a return visit to this found gem. We have already recommended it to family and friends.

Great Family Vacation at Creekside

  • 5 of 5

My family and I recently stayed a week at the Creekside guest house. The house itself is in a private setting with beautiful trees, landscaping and a creek. The inside of the house was impeccably clean and had comfortable, casual furnishings. There were plenty of towels/linens and the kitchen had everything necessary for preparing meals. We found the location to be perfect for our daily outings as it was close to both Sleeping Bear Dunes (about 20 minutes West) and Traverse City (about 30 minutes East). The surrounding area is beautiful and there are plenty of family activities: hiking, biking, swimming, and the Dune Climb, just to name a few. There are lots of restaurants in the area to choose from after a day of fun. We had muffins from Market 22, English and Indian cuisine at the Little Traverse Inn, and delicious breakfast and lunch at Pegtown Station. In Traverse City, a little cafe called Spanglish serves amazing tacos and tamales. This was our first time visiting Michigan and I know we will be back. Simply put, Creekside is a wonderful place to stay on vacation, we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation Experience

  • 5 of 5

Creekside was everything we were looking for and more! It is quiet and secluded, close to Lake MI, and a short drive from Traverse City with many other small towns nearby.

There is a convenience store right around the corner where you can also sit down and eat as well. Leland is very close and has a nice little diner called early bird. It opened for the season the week we were there. There is a nice place behind it called the Blue Bird Tavern which we also enjoyed for dinner. Downtown Traverse City has so many shops and everyone should enjoy several hours there. Even the guys!

The guesthouse is located in the woods on a beautiful little creek and it is just very peaceful and relaxing in every way. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals if you like, there is a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry and everything is very clean and homey. We plan to go back in the future and have already been telling our friends.

If you love Lake MI, small quaint towns, good shopping, hiking, boating, skiing, secluded vacation homes, etc... This place is for you.

Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

The Creekside guest house was the perfect location for a long weekend 'up north' this winter. Off M22 between Glen Arbor and Leland made it easy to downhill ski, snowshoe and XCountry ski within a short distance. The propery was very clean with all the amenities needed for our stay. The creek was a short walk from the guest house and just beautiful on a winter morning.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect vacation home for my husband, 6 year old daughter and I. Very clean and has all of the amenities you need and more. Bedrooms and living area are larger than the pictures make them appear. Having a dresser in each bedroom was a definite plus. Great location for touring all over the Leelanau Peninsula. The mosquitos were quite awful so we did not spend much time outside but they are awful everywhere this year. With so many things to do in the Leelanau Peninsula we would not have had much time to spend outside anyways. Wifi is not the best. I have been renting VRBO's for 8+ years and I would definitely recommend this property.
