Rustic home located on the banks of the Little Red River. House was designed for entertaining with open floor plan. Flat screen TV next to natural stone fireplace. Flat screens TV's in all 4 bedrooms. View of the river from 3 bedrooms and living area. Large covered porch facing river with fire-pit below. Great area to grill, relax and watch kids roast marshmallows.
Enjoy some of the world's finest trout fishing in Little Red, home of the World Record Brown. Have a guide pick you up at the dock, or bring your own boat and launch at two nearby areas. Enjoy some secluded fishing as you drift back to the dock. No boat, no worries just fish off the dock below the house, or rent a boat from one of the nearby boat docks.

I am married with 3 boys. The Little Red River and Greers Ferry lake provide great entertainment and is a great get away for the entire family. I grew up just 30 minutes away and enjoyed the activities the river and lake had to offer when I was a kid and want my boys to have the same experience.
The Property provides the best of what the river and lake both have to offer. We chose this area because it was located directly on a great part of the river and just minutes away from the lake. This location is also minutes from downtown Heber which includes great shopping and the movie theatre.
You can boat all day on the lake and return to the cool air as it flows off the Little Red River while grilling out and relaxing. You can also spend all day fishing or just walk down to the dock for quick convenient fishing experience. What a prime area for a relaxing getaway.
Wonderfully peaceful getaway for our group of nine. Location was awesome. The men trout fished early in the morning while everyone else slept in. We played on the lake that afternoon and shopping was right around the corner as well. We will come back soon. Highly recommend this great vacation spot.
We just came home from a weekend at this beautiful property. We thoroughly enjoyed the Little Red river from the back porch and the dock. The kitchen was well-appointed, although lacking in a few staples (bring your aluminum foil and Pam)! We will certainlly be back!
Our family is staying at the cabin now. We love it! I must disagree with previous reviews on one point. I find the kitchen to be wonderfully appointed with everything I need to prepare meals for 10 hungry mouths! I am an amateur chef and am picky about bake ware and having the proper tools to prepare foods. It would be nice to have my expensive cutlery and stone baking dishes, but this a VACATION RENTAL! Mrs. Pontius has been absolutely lovely to us! The home is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of room for all 6 of us who stayed the nights and the others who visited during the day. We very much enjoyed catching trout for our supper right off the dock! I would have liked to have a gas grill, but charcoal cooks too! We will stay here again!!!
Spent last 4 days at this really nice home with my family. First time to area and couldn't wait to take my kids fishing, and I chose this place for privacy and for the dock to fish off of, unfortunately the dock was in bad shape. The dock had recently been damaged by another dock running into it and was not covered so we baked in the sun, nor was there anyway to access a boat from it. In it's current state it's not safe to use. Like a previous review stated the kitchen is not adequately stocked so we came with baking sheets/coffee mugs, etc. but needed a better frying pans. House great overall with 3 rooms with queen beds, and 1 with 2 sets of bunks, the beds could be better and a king in the master would be appreciated. Home stayed cool despite the terrible heat outside, liked the foosball and ping pong but in the garage it was to hot to really enjoy fully. Charcoal grill was nice but not very convenient. Outdoor furniture was inadequate and lack in quantity. Would likely return in cooler weather and once the dock is replaced as I really liked the house and the privacy. For $350/night expected more.
This was a lovely home for a fun "group" weekend! Four of us stayed a long weekend and we had a group of college students come for one evening. The house and bedrooms accommodated us all well. The bedrooms are split: master and private bath on one side of the great room, three bedrooms sharing the other bath on the opposite side. The baths were large, three bedrooms have queen beds and one had four bunk beds (great for those college girls!). Everything was clean, easy access to the water behind the house, fire area outside, a short ride to Heber Springs. The area where the house was located is in very sparsely built up subdivision and we did not see anyone else the four days we were there.
The kitchen was quite nice/new. Nice cabinets, stainless appliances. The only complaint about the house was that the kitchen was not well equipped. No strainer for our pasta, not a measuring cup anywhere, tiny coffee cups but no coffee mugs, no large bowls for mixing salad, etc. All in all, a lovely stay-just make sure you are aware of limited kitchen equipment!
The owner both called and came by to check that we found the house and were settled in. Nice newer home and we would certainly stay again!
Our family stayed here for Thanksgiving Break ...it's was so peaceful .. Great fishing !! House was perfect !!
We all found this to be a very comfortable cabin. The neighbor's burro was a real treat for all - especially the children. Was pleasantly surprised to find the beds comfortable.
