While we reside in Washington, DC we have enjoyed vacationing in York for many years and fully renovated Salt & Light Cottage in 2005.
Bonnie Pierce purchased this house in 2000
One level, great for kids and easy walk to beaches.
We had a great week vacationing at this home. It is located in a nice neighborhood and easily accessable
to both beaches and downtown. The home is small, yet feels spacious with the open vaulted kitchen. Plenty of room for our young adult children. The 1/2 bath is a plus! No washer and dryer was a little inconvenient, but not a problem. The yard and deck are nice and the patio area had very comfy seating!
The owner Bonnie was very easy to communicate with. We recommend this home for your vacation.
My family had a wonderful time vacationing here in York Beach, ME. The house is within walking distance of both beaches, restaurants, the zoo and the historic downtown of York. It has everything you need and more in the kitchen for cooking and entertaining and what a cool table! The house is updated and very clean. The backyard is spacious with lots of room for the kids to play outside and there is an outside dining area with a grill. We can't wait to go back!
We have stayed at Salt & Light each summer for the past few years and just love it. The location is excellent. You can walk to everything yet it is on a quiet street so you don't have to deal with beach traffic. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in (if you want to cook on vacation). We enjoyed grilling out and eating on the deck. It does not have laundry but we did not find this to be an issue since we were only there for a week and there is a laundromat very close by in the little town center. Our grandkids loved the back yard and being able to walk easily to the beach.
