Thanks again for everything, we had a great time and I can't wait to spend a whole week there this summer. We tried to make sure we cleaned everything real well before we left, I hope you were happy with the way we left everything. Thanks again, and we will see you again soon. Everett

Dear Tony,

My family and i recently rented your property for a long weekend, as you know we all had a wonderful time taking full advantage of all that your land has to offer. Not only was the scenery breathe taking , but everyone was very comfortable and well taken care of.

Steve and family

Tony, Peter, Agnes,

Hello, how are you?

I hope that you are well and having a good time with your 'new' renters over Labor Day..

I just wanted to drop you an e-mail to tell you that we had a great time last week at your place and to say to you thank you for being such good hosts and taking such good care of us while we were there to enjoy your place!

I hope that you are having a great time with your new guests and enjoying the musical jam weekend.

You were all soooooo great in helping us with the fire, and cooking the bisquits (Agnes ), even in the rainy weather with my freinds. We all appreciate all of your efforts!!

We are now all back to Work unfortuneately and wishing that we could be back at the Pocono house with not a care in the world!

Look forward to seeing you all again soon, yet this year, when we come back to the area for our Fall color visit.

I hope you do not mind if we call one day just to drop in and say hello!

Please take care and remember us,

A beautiful RUSTIC cabin but could use a little help in Decor.

  • 3 of 5

Enjoyed meeting Tony, Casper and the precious goat!!! I am an Interior Decorator so my opinion may be a bit biased. The cabin is well made and in a beautiful location. My feelings are there is not enough light, a few lamps maybe upstairs would be great. The kitchen could use some mixing bowls for pancakes and such. My biggest problem was that the mattresses and pillows did not have a sanitary cover on them that can be washed. The sheets and towels were clean though but I would prefer to have covers on them and especially on the mattresses. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The owner, Tony, was very nice and helpful. It was good to know he was next door if we needed anything. Thank you Tony, it was a pleasure to meet you.

Ill start with the house was nice. Toni was a gracious owner of the property . The house was 5 minutes from the lake and plenty to do. We just sat around and ate, drank, and burned a fire every night and fished a bit. Took a blanket and sat in the grass and took in the scenery . My dog loved it up there and ran free. I must say there are a lot of animals there such as, guieny hens, chickens , two geese. and a goat. we love animals so we enjoyed the company of them all. nice place to stay if you are looking for an active week .

Nice place, not very private. Not great swimming.

  • 3 of 5

Tony was incredibly kind during our stay. I have no complaints about him. However, the property is really not that private. It's about 50 yards from Tony's house. The weekend we stayed they had a lot of guests coming and going. Some of those guests used the kayaks and boats while we were there and one of their children hung out with us during the afternoon as we sat down by the lake. It wasn't exactly the private getaway from the city and from people that we were looking for. We were also very excited about swimming in the lake, but there is a ton of muck in the lake and we really couldn't swim there at all. There's a smaller swimming hole next to the lake that we did get in, but it wasn't ideal for swimming. There was an inflatable swan in the swimming hole that was covered with algae and half-filled with water. There was also a volleyball in the swimming hole that was waterlogged, so we weren't able to use that for volleyball. The house itself was quite a nice space to hang out in. Nice to have a pool table and a big dining room table for meals. The beds are not very comfortable though and everyone woke up after the first night complaining about stiff backs.

Not a bad experience since we were with friends and had a nice time hanging out together, but just not really what we were hoping for. If we were going to do a similar getaway with friends in the future we would book somewhere else.

Owner's Response: Thanks for letting me know that there was inflatable toy swan and valley ball in the pond. People leave stuff behind and on the large property like my, it is not ease to notice every thing right away. Any way those things are not harmful for swimming. I have few valley balls for my guests but you never asked for one. Lake is good for fishing and kayaking. That is how I advertise. Small or large lakes surrounded by woods have mud and this is natural as the fallen leafs decay. My friends visited me for the weekend with very friendly 10 year old grandson. The kid was enjoying the lake and views and fishing. Lake and my boats are for all of my guests to enjoy. Some people like hard beds and some soft. I guess you just can't make everyone happy.

Beautiful cabin and location

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is beautiful, just bring your own food and relax. It was clean cozy and lots of room. We had four adults and two small children. There was a small goat, some chickens and a flock of guinea hens on the owners property that the kids loved. The owner Tony, lives next store, a great host, and great guy. A very large campfire area with seating and a large porch. All the firewood you need is available. A outstanding view of the lake. Just minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack. I have no problem recommending this property, you wont be disappointed or want to leave. Robert Clegg
