In March, my husband, 16-year old daughter and 10-year old son made our first trip to Paris, and we stayed at this wonderful apartment in the Marais district for 5 nights and 6 days. It is located in a fantastic neighbourhood, one which is historic, culturally rich and diverse, and filled with many boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and patisseries, and is also within walking distance to many of Paris' sites and museums, and a quick Metro ride away from others. We enjoyed exploring the area by day and evening, and could easily walk to the Pompidou Centre, Place des Vosges, the Bastille monument, Hotel de Ville, the Seine, the Louvre, Notre Dame, L'Ile de la Cite, among other locations. Each morning, we made the 2-minute walk to the lovely patisserie by the St. Paul Metro station for our morning croissant or pain au chocolate before starting our day's adventures. The Marais has the best falafels in Paris, and the best selection of falafel cafes and restaurants. The apartment is a great home away from home and the four of us were able to sleep comfortably there. Although it is a one-bedroom apartment, there is a very easy to use pull-out sofa for two people in the living room. The kitchen and living room area are all together, and there is a small table for eating. The unit had all the appliances we needed, including a washer/dryer (all-in-one), dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave. The kitchen is well-appointed with utensils, dishes and so on. We only had small meals and snacks as we were out during the days and evenings, but it is well set up for people who want to cook in. The bathroom is small but well set-up. For people with a slightly larger group, there is a studio apartment adjacent to this unit and enclosed within the same mini-lobby; if our oldest daughter had come with us, we would have rented out both units and this would have suited our group size very comfortably. The unit is up 4 levels of stairs, which is common in European cities where the buildings are older and cannot integrate an elevator. The building is completely updated and the Wifi service in the unit was exceptional. Pascal, the owner, was a delight to deal with from our first contact with him. He came to see us on the first day, and we enjoyed talking to him about his apartment, his neighbourhood and Paris. He had many great suggestions for restaurants and sites to visit. We would definitely return to his apartment and recommend it to everyone we know without reservation
Loved our stay in Marais at Pascal's flat. It was very clean, comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Very safe at all hours. Very accessible, and within walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, Picasso museum and other attractions. Pacal was a great host, and very informative. Highly recommend this rental. Be aware, it is on the 4th floor, with no elevator, which we had no problem with. Pit Martin
We have stayed in several different apartments in Paris in the past and never again will we stay at the others. Pascal's apartment was absolutely perfect, clean, well maintained with lots of little touches that my wife really appreciated. I appreciated the great location. My only complaint is that one week is too short to visit Paris but its the best I could do so now I have to go back and will again stay at this apartment or another of Pascal's. Its all the little touches that made it feel like home, this place was so well equipped in the kitchen we could have had full meals, but not enough time for that with all the great restaurants around. Other places we have stayed in the past didn't even have silverware even though they were apartments not hotels. The bed was super comfortable too and I loved the window overlooking the street, high enough to be quiet but what a great place to look out at Paris. Everything you need from grocery stores, bakeries and shops is all right there and if you want to get away, the Metro is also close by.
The apartment has everything you need in an elegant compact presentation, and the location could not be more ideal. Le Marais is a hot spot of wonderful restaurants and shops in arguably the most charming area of Paris. This particular street is tucked away yet lively, bustling and quiet at the same time -- just perfect. Pascal was beyond hospitable -- warmly responsive, welcoming and highly accommodating. We very much recommend this apartment and look forward to returning ourselves!
Apartment was very clean and modern. Good for 2 adults or 2 adults and one child. Located in a great neighborhood close to shops, Metro St. Paul and many restaurants. Easy access to all of Paris from this apartment. Pascal was a super helpful host both with planning the trip, meeting us upon arrival and helping us with our needs while in Paris. I would highly recommend Pascal and his apartments to everyone.
We rented the apartment for nine days in October and November, 2016. The apartment is in a perfect location and is ideal for a couple. Upon arrival, my wife was tired due to jet lag, so she took a nap while I cooked dinner in the aptly appointed kitchen. The bathroom is great, with a towel/bathroom heater, great working fan (not always common in Parisian apartments), clean spaces and bright lights. The furniture is modern, the building classic, and the neighborhood is, well, the Marais! The owner met us after we had arrived and generously spent time suggesting excellent restaurants and sites in the area and throughout Paris. There is even a nice library full of english language travel books. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
