The house has a large room with living and dining area together. The kitchen is off from that room and has a standard size washer and dryer. This room connects to a covered patio with table and chairs. There is a charcoal grill.
There is a finished screened porch off of the living room which includes a dining area. This looks out onto a side yard and flower garden.
There are two bedrooms and a full bath with shower. One bedroom has a queen with one single. The other bedroom has twin single beds. The living room has a double pull out sleep sofa.
Behind the house is an outside hot and cold shower with a dressing area.

Virginia is very lucky to have such a beautiful beach that is so accessible. It is a wonderful beach to walk on and the ocean is always refreshing to swim in.
Very early in the morning you can sometimes hear the ocean. There are beautiful birds in the trees too.
This is a small cottage near the beach on the ocean side of the main road (Pacific Ave.). There are a number of good things about the house as well as some bad. But overall we enjoyed it and we'd probably stay here again.
Location - Close to public beach access in a quiet area of an otherwise overcrowded city at peak times. Being in the North End allows driving access into town via less crowded roads from Norfolk.
Yard - Big private yard for the kids to run around in. Outdoor dining areas.
Porch - Awesome screened porch for chilling, reading, sipping...
A/C - Central Air worked well the whole time.
Washer/Dryer - Nice for drying wet clothes or minimizing dirty laundry to do back home.
Price - At least when we stayed the price was reasonable relative to other options.
Decor - About as nice as it could be for a house this age and size.
Outdoor Shower - For washing off all that sand.
Manager - Kept in touch.
Size - This is a very small house suitable for a short stay of a family of four or maybe a bit more. But much more would get very tight very fast.
Age - The house was built in the 50's and it shows in a lot of ways. No updates likely done this millennium. Charming and rustic if you can see it that way. Otherwise just plain old, but mostly still serviceable.
Kitchen - What's the opposite of modern? That's what this kitchen feels like. Though there is a nice dishwasher. Washer/Dryer stacked unit is also in kitchen.
Bathroom - The single worst thing about this house is the one and only TINY TINY TINY bathroom. Extremely extremely small, and everyone has to use it. The layout in there is just terrible and there is literally about an 18 inch gap you have to squeeze through behind the shower to get to the toilet and original 1950's sink. Shower itself is so tiny adults could barely even use it. I cannot overstate how non-functional this bathroom is, and after a week, that becomes an issue. Nowhere near ADA compliant if accessibility is an issue for you.
Cleaning Company - Whatever cleaning company they use is moderate at best. The place wasn't dirty, but it was abundantly clear that they have to move fast to turn the rental over each week and just skip a number of areas (under the beds, overflowing trash cans outside, etc.). You pay for this cleaning company via an add-on fee, so you'd hope they'd do a better job. It wasn't the worst I've seen by any stretch, but I'd find a new crew.
This home is the perfect getaway in a most desirable section of Virginia Beach. The furnishings are so very tasteful and comfortable. I loved relaxing on the screened porch and viewing the garden and enjoyed the multiple inside and outside dining opportunities. My favorite was the very private outside shower. We found the nearby beach beautiful and uncrowded. I look forward to staying here again.
Throughout the years I have stayed at this fabulous beach house with my daughter and son as they grew up. It's been great when they were young and also as teens.
The owner pays attention to the details in this home. The property is clean, well maintained, and so attractive. The walk to the beach is short and easy. I recommend this property to all of my friends and relatives.
