Guestbook comments from the manager

My dad, two sisters and i came down here for a "trip down memory lane" for my dad who grew up in Monticello. he is 83 years old now and hasn't been back since he came to visit when he was 18 before going away to the war.

We really didn't want to stay in a hotel and one of my sisters found golden Pond Resort on line. We are so glad she did! Steve was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The cottage is wonderful, we felt right at home.

Can't say enough about the screened in porch, back yard, where we had a camp fire one night. And the deck overlooking the pond. WOW. It was so peaceful and serene. My dad absolutely loved it and couldn't stop smiling.

thank you so much for sharing your place and helping to make our stay an incredible one!

Peaceful and serene

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is very clean and comfortable. The owner is very attentive, and available. The grounds are beautiful and the area is very scenic. We were there for a break between Christmas and New Years and enjoyed visiting the Cumberland falls and the State Park, both within an hour drive. Restaurants and stores are within a 10 minute drive. Even though the weather was cold the icicles dripping off the mountains and the rainbow above the falls was as nice as the warm and private hot tub! I would love to come back in the early spring!

Fantastic, community for the whole family!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four with two little ones stayed for a few days in the middle of August and we had a blast! The cottage was clean, quiet, updated with new floors and a great tv and sound system. The best part though was the screened in porch with hot tub. We age all of our meals out there with the exception of a couple on the dock. We also loved all the amenities and took advantage of the pool everyday and the playset; everything was a close walk away.

We were worried about not enough stuff to do in the area but we found hidden treasures in the Mill Springs Mill park with their historic mill and waterfalls, and the Historic Museum in downtown. We also took the hour drive to Cumberland Falls (the Niagra Falls of the South) and had a blast hiking the trails and picnicking by the falls.

All in all it was a great trip and I would highly recommend this cottage or any cottage in the Golden Pond resort. Steve was great to work with and was very kind and attentive to any of our needs.

My husband and I have stayed at this perfect cottage three times because we love it so much! It's romantic for the two of us and fun enough for the kids to enjoy. We love the privacy it provides for a romantic getaway, the wonderful screened in hot tub and the private fishig dock overlooking the beautiful serene pond. The kids enjoyed all the wonderful amenities the community provided, the pool, volleyball, basketball, and the corn hole, not to mention the hot tub and fishing. The cottage its self is perfect, everything you could need is provided and it is homey and comfortable...when we took or three kids the cottage provided plenty of space for all of us. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for romance or family fun!

Wonderful Experience!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cozy cottage in Sept. 2010 and without a doubt will return. This cottage is attached to the office and laundry room, but don't let that scare you away. We had NO problems what so ever. We had all the privacy we could ask for. The cottage itself is very clean, and like it says "COZY". The hot tub on the built in porch is very relaxing. Fishing in the pond was a blast!! There is everything you need in this cottage, just bring your food. The owner Steve is a wonderful person and will tend to your every need. I hated to leave. So if your looking to get away and relax this IS the place to do so! I could go on and on but you just need to experience it for yourself.

Thank You So Much Steve
