The apartment is located in the heart of Palermo Soho, one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. This is an ideal place for anyone interested in exploring the city on foot and public transportation. The apartment is in a very safe area, the building has a door man 24/7.
The apartment is on the 14th floor, it has great city views, it's quite beautiful at dawn, gets plenty of sunlight and you can make it very dark if you prefer. Sleeps 2 persons, and we have a matress we can lend you for a third person.
It is fully equipted for cooking and we provide linens and towells.
If you don't feel like cooking, there are lots of nice restaurants and an amazing world class bakery one block away. It is a pleasure to go for walks and discover places to eat and drink, specially in the evenings. There are still cobble stone streets and old beautiful trees all around the building, lots of fine restaurants, café shops, bookstores, boutiques, shopping Centers, movie theaters and the beautiful Palermo parks system within walking distance. One block away from Santa Fe Ave and four blocks from the Botanical Gardens, “La Rural” and the Zoo.
The subway is two blocks away and it will take you everywhere; the network is very inexpensive and covers a large area of the city including most tourist attractions.
The apartment is simple in nature, not fancy, but is a bargain in this neighborhood and it has everything you need to be comfortable! You will love it!

My brother Diego and I owned the apartment since 1999. I lived in the US for 26 years and recently returned to Argentina to start an organic farm in Rosario. Diego lives and works in Buenos Aires.
Laura purchased this apartment in 1999
This apartment has everything you need withing walking distance: the metro, good supermarkets, great restaurants, the Botanic garden, parks, museums, and night life.
Miguel! he is our favorite doorman, he is usually at the building in the morning, he is always kind and friendly to our guess. He is very helpful!
My wife and I stayed at Laura's apartment for the last year. The Blacona's were extraordinary hosts and they were cooperative and ready to help at all times. The apartment is located in one of the finest locations of Palermo Soho with all forms of transportation nearby, including a few blocks to the subway and trains. The grocery stores, restaurants, hair salons are also in the neighborhood, including the exquisite Alto Palermo Mall. Also a few blocks away is the Science and industry museum which we thoroughly enjoyed. There are also two bicycle rental businesses close by and a bike path about 4 blocks away. We particular enjoyed the great views from the windows of the apartment, both in the living room and the bedroom. We also made use of the ample closet space, the nice desk in the living room, and the flat screen TV. The bed was plenty big and very comfortable. We certainly would stay here again the next time we visit the great city of Buenos Aires! Thank you Laura and Diego
Comfortable, clean, quiet apartment with great view overlooking the city in a safe building with helpful friendly 24 hr doorman. Cafes, restaurants and park all close by. We rented bicycles from shop across the street and peddled all over the city. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Laura
At face value, you can certainly find a more modern or fancier place in Buenos Aires. However, though the apartment is basic and nothing fancy, the location and price can't be beat. Five minutes walk to two subway stations, close to attractions and a short walk to the more hip Palermo Viejo neighborhood and plenty of grocery stores around make this an ideal location to stay.
Also, the landlord Laura and her brother Diego are great people. Anything you need, they're there for you. They helped us get taxis, exchange money to the better currency rate and gave us tips on where to go. Just an email or phone call away, anything that goes wrong or you need is taken care if immediately. One can not ask for better service.
No it's not fancy, but for convenience, price and service, this place was just right and we had a good time.
Stayed about five weeks in April/May 2014. The apartment was just as advertised--a comfortable, sunny one BR with great views; easy subte and bus access; lots of local grocers, restaurants etc.; not at all a touristy neighborhood but only a short walk (8 blocks?) to core areas of Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood. Everything in the apartment functioned (neither a/c nor heat were needed so no comment on those). Living room sofa/chair weren't comfortable. Not a fancy place at all; it shows its age but if you want all modern fixings you'll have to spend a lot more. When we traveled away from Buenos Aires, we missed the apartment and were happy to get back to it, because it felt like home. Very quick and easy communication with owner. My wife and I would happily go back.
The apartment is very close to the subway, a short ride (bus, taxi) to all the nearby milongas, restaurants, and clubs I cared about. There's a convenience store/mini supermarket on the same block.
It's on the 14th floor (no noise from the street). it is nice, clean, well stocked with kitchenware, has wifi... There's a desk that I found very useful for working (I couldn't get entirely away from work).
I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood, but the building has 24 hour doormen and lobby security cameras! The doormen and neighbors are very nice too.
The owner made sure I had the things I needed (e.g., I needed an iron, he got me an iron, though mostly I ended up using a nearby cleaners as it was incredibly cheap).
I stayed a full month. There was no periodic cleaning service, but I managed just fine of course.
We stayed at this place for a week after traveling in Argentina for a month, saved BA for last. It was the perfect way to finish our vacation, great location, safe and clean, very well appointed with everything we needed. The owners were helpful and friendly, really nice to deal with. We couldn't get a decent hotel room for U$65 in that area, and here we had a kitchen and living room with unobstructed views of the city on two sides, beautiful. Having a doorman 24/7 gave us a safe, even luxurious feeling. We were able to stay within our budget without feeling like "budget travelers". I wish we had more time to spend in BA. Definitely recommend it, excellent value!
