Our charming 1895 beach cottage was totally renovated in 2015 and is steps away from its own private beach pathway to beautiful Pine Point Beach. Stunning views of Prout's Neck and Woods Island Lighthouse can be seen from our sunny, screened wrap-around porch and second floor outside deck.Inside our cottage is bright, spacious and tastefully decorated. The large living room boasts hardwood floors and a gas fireplace, and the hardwood floors continue into the sunny dining room with a picture window offering scenic water views. The New England kitchen is fully equipped with every amenity and new appliances. On the sunny first floor is a king bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Upstairs are four airy bedrooms, three have fantastic water views and the master king bedroom has a lovely sitting balcony with views of Prout's Neck and Wood's Island Lighthouse. Our three large family bathrooms were totally renovated and give an overall feeling of a home away from home for a vacationer's delight.
Our recent stay at this beautiful home was wonderful. The online description met, and in fact exceeded our expectations, the owners were congenial and lovely to work with. We have a family of three adult children with their families. The home layout was perfect for them, the screened-in porch was a real plus for all, great for sitting and relaxing and a safe place for a toddler. The lawn was perfect for games, the beach easy to get to and sandy. There were lots of activities nearby for day trips. Whole family was impressed with the choice!
We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a family vacation and what an amazing time we had! The home is located on a private street with its own pathway to the beach. The beach is very easy to get to and very sandy with little to no rocks. The home has a fantastic screened in porch that is very spacious with some great water views. The views from the upstairs second floor deck are even better! The home had a total of 5 bedrooms. There are 2 ENORMOUS bedrooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The other 3 bedrooms were nicely sized, with one of them having some twin beds which were perfect for the children. The living room has a lovely picture window looking out towards the ocean and a beautiful gas fireplace which kept us comfortable on the chillier nights. The kitchen was very clean and boasted all new appliances. There were also three full bathrooms available, one with a full tub and one with laundry machines. The bathrooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The home was tastefully decorated and added a delightful ambiance to the trip. The home is close to a variety of other activities in addition to the beach including dining venues and is a short drive to Old Orchard Beach where there is shopping and a amusement park/arcade for kids.
Overall this home was an amazing place to stay. The atmosphere was picture perfect, the location was ideal, the home was spacious and clean, and the owners were friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely be coming back again!
Charming seaside cottage, sparkling clean, all the amenities and more! Cozy sleeping quarters with spectacular sunrise views. We really enjoyed our stay.
This classic cottage has been fully renovated with all the modern conveniences. Our group of six women found it to be a cozy, comfortable space to relax and enjoy our "reunion". It is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Maine and only about 20 minutes from Portland. A lobster pound within walking distance allowed us to have another true Maine experience. We had a hard time leaving the comfort of the spacious screened porch, but did appreciate the fire in the cool evening. Can't wait to return!
Pine Point is still an active fishing, lobstering and clamming village. The beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and surfcasting. There are no drop-offs and the waves are very tame. The area offers many lobster pounds and restaurants. Local activities include deep sea fishing, whale watching, boating, amusement and water parks, golf and Scarborough nature preserve with scenic canoe and kayak trips. Within a 15 minute drive is Portland with its many fine restaurants, museums and historic Old Port. Within 30 minutes are the outlets of Kittery and Freeport and the picturesque villages of Kennebunkport and Oguniquit.
