Great location

  • 4 of 5

Overall, this was a wonderful place to be. Pretty much centrally located, easy to Shelburne Falls and other small towns nearby. If you're coming to fish, you're walking distance from Deerfield River; if coming to ski, just walk up the hill to Berkshire east. I would give it 5 stars, but I'm 6'2", and the beds are double, so that was a little uncomfortable. Also, for those of us "of a certain age", the bathroom is upstairs, so at 4:00 in the morning, it could have been more convenient. Regardless, it was beautiful, private, and pleasant. Certainly would recommend if you are coming to this area.

Great mountain biking weekend

  • 5 of 5

The location couldn't have been better for walking to the mountain bike park. The house was comfortable, roomy and welcoming. Beautiful lot. Just across the river from a couple of restaurants. Excellent.

Great stay !

  • 5 of 5

Definitely a hidden gem for sure - location was really great for us as there are really no hotels in this area and the apartment was just perfect. The set up is so nice, the grounds are really beautiful - had everything we needed and then some. Our visit and location was based on hiking in the surrounding area and this home away was just perfect! Nothing would have been better - will do it again for sure! We definitely recommend!

Make Sure Everything Works

  • 2 of 5

The place is nice. The location peaceful.

The cottage on the end is what you are renting and that seems clear enough in the photos unlike some others.

The steps could be an issue especially in loading and unloading your items.

They do look nice though.

We had some problems with heat and hot water as they ran out of propane.

I guess it did just get cold the night after we arrived and was warmer before so it's possible to run out except how did they get hot water? This honestly shouldn't happen and never did to us at other places before.

They stopped and eventually offered a few electric space heaters which made it a little better but no hot water, that would be nice for a shower.

The only bathroom is upstairs (nothing else is). May or may not pose a problem.

There were some places within a few miles to get things more down the road in Greenfield.

Probably will shop around more before our next booking. Zip line tickets are not a fix for essentials and we didn't even use them. We are in our late 60's.

Beautiful chalet

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend, two dogs and I loved this apartment! We loved the outdoor deck and location, right at the base of the Berkshire East Mountain Resort. Great size space, and well kept. The only down side is the beds are full size and we had a hard time sharing a room, so had to spread out a little. Not a huge deal, we will gladly return! The kitchen has all you need, and we loved waking up to go out and drink our coffees on the deck. We discovered the beautiful flower bridge in Shelburne Falls, about 15 min away. We drove to Lenox for the botanical gardens, and specialty chocolate cafe. The drive was beautiful. It was nice to be off the grid for a bit. Great find for the price! Thank you Ben.

It was ok

  • 3 of 5

First off the location is ideal if you are planning on doing anything at the Berkshire East Ski Resort. Nice little apartment but very basic amenities. It is great if you want to get off the grid without sleeping in a tent. There is little to no cell coverage but they do offer a house phone. The wifi was glorified dial up that wasn't able to stream the provided Roku/Netflix. I would recommend bringing a book, puzzles, dvds for entertainment. Also if you have trouble with stairs it is good to know that the only bathroom is upstairs with the bedrooms on the main level. Overall it wasn't amazing but wasn't bad.
