If I could give 3.5 I would. But for the price can't be so negative to give it a 3.
We visited first week of March
Good: Place was clean (at least cleaner than the last Florida vacation rental we stayed at). These places are all rented by families with small kids going to Disney so they get used heavily. Accommodations were nice, plenty of kitchen space and utensils to make dinner. The big pool was salt water and nice for one day of relaxing while the kids played and not too big you couldn't keep your eye on them. Was easily walking distance but parking available too by the main pool. Some competition for chairs around pool but not bad. We weren't there at peak season either.
Was nice to have a little pool in back for kids to jump in and entertain themselves with but it was cold. (but again probably depends on time of year).
The house is pretty close to the main strip with restaurants and stores, I prefered the Super Target that was further away but still only about 5 miles or so.
BAD: There was only one pack of dishwasher soap, and no dish soap so we ran through the plastic dishes for kids quickly and if you could only use the dishwasher once. or go buy your own soap. Would be nice to have some dish soap and a sponge and a drying rack to be able to do some dishes. Additionally be nice if there were a few coffee filters in the house... I only stayed a few days and didn't want to buy a hole pack of coffee filters. I would have easily paid a few more bucks to have these sort of conveniences there.
The initial payment process was a little confusing/annoying getting requests for payments from VRBO but payments were not supposed to go to there..(except for the VRBO fee), instead you pay a property management company.
Overall had a pleasant experience, the place was adequate and the owner Patti responded very quickly to questions and was helpful. I would consider going back again,
We enjoyed our stay in the townhouse in Windsor Hills, a resort community right near Walt Disney World in which we have stayed in different properties. The master king bed is comfortable (important for us) and the house is fully equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We did not use the small pool but I am sure that is enjoyable in warmer weather (bring your own floats for kids) and the park is just off to the side from the back pool (you back up to other townhouses but are right at the corner of the park). We had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation.
They say the most important thing about a property is location, location and location. This wonderful townhouse in Windsor Hills has just that.
Location - Mickey Mac townhouse is located in Windsor Hills Resort in Kissimmee and comes complete with your own private splash pool. Windsor Hills has tennis courts, basketball nets, a volleyball court, a large swimming pool, games room, table tennis, a waterslide, playgrounds, a convenience store and is very secure gated community and a great place to jog, walk, rollerblade and bicycle ride. The gardens and parks are immaculately groomed.
Location: A two-minute drive puts you on the US 192 which has many of restaurants and shops including a Publix Grocery Stores, Target stores and a Walmart almost at your doorstep.
Location - The majority of us go to Orlando for Disney. So let me share a secret your GPS won’t help you with. To get to Disney in 5 minutes from this townhouse and why I like this ocation so much, turn left on to Old Wilson Road, when you get to the US 192 do not turn right and join the traffic jams and the sign posts to the Disney parks, but instead turn left onto the US 192 and then take the first light right into Sherberth and follow the road past the Disney auditions and costume buildings until you get Osceola Parkway. Turn right on Osceola Parkway, the Animal Kingdom is immediately on the left. Follow the signs to your favorite park.
More about this gem of a Townhouse itself. We have had a multitude of family vacation trips at this townhouse over the years since we first discovered it and it is well maintained and is also spotlessly clean. Check-in is at Global Vacations and is a breeze, their staff were friendly and helpful.
This unit has 3 bedrooms all on-suite, one bedroom is on the main floor and the other two are upstairs. The second bedroom upstairs has two twin beds and is decorated in bold Disney prints and is a big hit with children. The other bedrooms each have a Queen Bed so the unit is perfect sized for families of 4 to 6 people. All bedrooms have adequate draws and cupboards space. The unit comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a lounge that leads out to the pool. What I really like about this particular townhouse is it backs on to a very large grassy area and my children enjoy playing on the grass whilst we laze at the pool.
We are looking forward to going back to Mickey Mac resorts next year and fully recommend this vacation home.
This house is in a very nice community, the house was clean and just ready for us to enjoy our vacation there. It was such easy access to Disney. We rented a car and very easily got to Disney and quickly picked up a shuttle into the park! We would so stay here again. We had our own time away from the park when we were ready but the park was so accessible. We will stay here again. Thanks for such a great experience and sharing your house with us!!
My family and I have stayed at Mickey Mac Resorts about 6 times over the past few years. Each time we travel there, our experience only improves. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials a family may need while cooking. The family room is nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and a large television set. Also, the house has free WiFi. The bedroom located on the first floor is convenient for older couples who may not be able to walk up the stairs.
The master bedroom and bathroom is very big with ample closet space. The Disney themed bedroom is very attractive. We were very happy that the house comes with a washer and dryer so we could easily wash clothes or towels whenever necessary.
My favorite part of the property is the small pool right in the backyard which offers fun for all ages right at your fingertips!! The large pool at the front of the resort is a lot of fun and offers many activities to keep the kids entertained; it is only a short 5 minute walk from the house.
The management company is very responsive if there are any problems with the home. The owner answers very quickly and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay while there. I would highly recommend this house.
I decide to take a quick trip at Spring Break with my two teenagers. Stayed at Windsor Hills and had a great time. The townhouse itself is terrific. Three bedrooms with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal! Although I didn't cook any..but it was there if I needed it. The screened in pool was terrific and after a long day in the park..a great convenience to hop in it and just relax. Oh it felt good after a day with Mickey Mouse!
The resort itself has security which after the initial check in, it is easy to just use your pass to open the gate. The initial check in was a little long but no worries as you only have to do this one time during your stay. The pool area at the resort is very nice and offered activities, music and just some relaxing time! There is also a water slide for the kids! They also have a little store where you can buy supplies, lunch and much needed bottles of water in the Florida heat.
There is also a washer and dryer which is a true advantage and requires less packing. Parking was available with a spot right out front of the unit.
The one thing I forgot to pack was a beach towel which would have been a good idea but we managed with the towels there. There are plenty of stores, restaurants, fast food and of course a Wawa right around the corner so it does help save money when eating or shopping at these locations.
Great spot to create memories!!!!
