About Pam & Lewis

We love living in the Napa Valley because it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever lived! We enjoy everything about this area. The food & wine are a big plus, but mostly we love how close to nature we are! The ability to grow our own food, drink crystal clear spring water, breathe fresh air, take wonderful hikes, bike rides, and relax in a peaceful environment does wonders for our well being! We are surrounded by a vast community of growers. We grow Cabernet grapes for a fabulous local boutique winemaker, Luc Morlet, who has successfully scored high ratings for his wine!

Pam & Lewis purchased this estate in 2006

Why Pam & Lewis chose Napa Valley

The area we live is very picturesque with the many colorful trees and mountain views surrounding the property. The soil is very rich making it perfect for Cabernet grapes. It also has a lot of Black Obsidian, thus the name nearby Glass Mountain. The climate is perfect for the vineyard. Some of the best wine comes from this region.

What makes this estate unique

We can offer you a secure environment with total privacy, peace and quiet, flowers abound, fantastic views, and a nice big pool for daily exercise and cooling off. We love the wide open rural spaces, lush vegetation and plenty of room for you to explore.

This is a beautiful wine estate in a gorgeous side valley off of the Silverado Trail.

I was lucky enough to spend the month of July at this glorious estate. Its situated five minutes from either St. Helena or Calistoga. The guest house is elegantly accommodated and the grounds are beautiful. We regularly fished at Bell Canyon Reservoir which is an easy 10 minute walk from the house. I fed the horses apples from the vegetable garden and orchard every day and have two new friends for life. Pam and Lewis were spectacular hosts. My family and I can't wait to go back!

Gorgeous retreat in beautiful St Helena

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful escape to St Helena this past month. Our family of four had the most wonderful time! The grounds are simply amazing. It reminded us of our summer in Tuscany. Interestingly - the owners told us that the previous owner was from Italy and had wanted the place to feel like being in Italy and it sure did.

The pool was gorgeous, the water temperature was perfect, the gardens and the grounds were simply beautiful. The landscaping was incredible - gorgeous flowers, a vegetable garden, a vineyard. Added to that there was a bocce ball court, chickens, horses - it was the most idyllic setting! We did not have the leave the place if we did not want to.

The apartment itself was lovely, well furnished and had all the equipment we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. There was a beautiful courtyard where we sat some nights sipping wine.

Our hosts were incredibly gracious too. They served us amazing fresh eggs that were delicious and were very kind and friendly. We would go back there in a heartbeat!

Overlooking Italian Valley off Crystal Springs Road

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful destination.

Our month long stay in January 2016 at this farmhouse built in the Tuscan style proved to be the perfect "home away from home". This was a little different time than we have experienced during the past fifteen years of visits to Saint Helena.

Spending a month in winter was a first for us. It gave us the opportunity to enjoy the subtle beauty of the area while we established our daily routine of exploring the nearby communities of Sonoma, Petaluma, Santa Rosa and Healdsburg. We discovered new dining destinations as well as re-visiting old favorites: Angele in Napa, Bouchon in Rutherford, Terra in Saint Helena and Solbar in Calistoga to name a few.

As we found our way along Crystal Springs Road we were once again intrigued by this bucolic setting with long moss hanging from the scrub oaks and the bubbling sound of water from a nearby stream. The approach to the farmhouse through the main gate and passing the chickens, horses, a vineyard on the left and arriving on the property is fascinating. The house is set in a magnificent grove of old oak trees along with mature Italian Cypress. And although the roses and lavender were not in bloom in winter, the grey green foliage remains a striking surround for the structure situated on a gentle slope with stone steps leading down to the inviting lap pool with vineyard views beyond.

We were greeted with champagne, a tour of our spotless accommodations, and instructions on heating and lighting controls. We enjoyed oil from the olive trees on the property pressed locally as well as farm fresh eggs during our stay. Between the owner and caretaker Francisco, all communication regarding any questions or concerns were promptly addressed making our stay more than comfortable.

For my wife and me the two most prominent factors we enjoyed about this property is the privacy of its location and the convenience of being in close proximity to both Saint Helena and Calistoga. The location really could not be better. We adopted the habit of enjoying destination lunches with dinners

"at home" many evenings. We entertained local friends several evenings with a walk in the garden followed by good regional wines to taste before dinners out. Also, friends from Portland, Oregon joined us for several nights the last week of our stay. The property accommodated it all beautifully.

Again, thank you Pam and Lewis for providing a perfect setting for our time away from home in the Pacific Northwest.

Our Napa Valley Stay

  • 5 of 5

My good friend from my childhood choose to get married in the Napa Valley, such a beautiful place. I then had to find a place to stay for my wife and two kids and I came upon this location because of its close location to St. Helena. I soon found that the owner was easy to deal with and timely as far as the contract and reservation process. When we arrived we were pleased to see that the property was beautiful and well maintained. My wife was quick to point out the owners touches in the well appointed guesthouse over the garage, including farm fresh eggs from their chickens and the fresh flowers on the night stands. We needed a iron since attending a wedding and owner had everything needed including distilled water. Overall we would and plan to go back not just because we liked the accommodations but also because of the personal touch of the owners.

Peaceful and Comfortable Stay

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We were warmly welcomed and shown around the beautiful property. The home was clean, well equipped with all amenities we needed and very comfortable. The location was centrally located for ease of traveling to Napa, Yountville, Calistoga, Rutherford and St. Helena. We enjoyed having a nice breakfast on the property prior to starting our day. At night, we enjoyed the comfort of the living room for winding down after a very long day at the wineries. We would highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again some day.
