About Mario

We love to be in Big Bear as often as possible.

Why Mario chose Big Bear Lake

We love the peacefulness of the location. Our cabin is at the start of the National Forest. You can hike, snowmobile, go off-roading, sledding, walk to Bear Mountain Ski resort, and walk to the zoo. Everything you could dream of doing in Big Bear lies at our doorstep. There is no traffic on the street since it's a dead end. Quiet and lovely all year long!

What makes this house unique

Its a true genuine Log Modern Cabin. We love it so much.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This house is as advertised and perfect for a relaxing stay in Big Bear. Mario was a terrific host and responded to all questions very quickly. The house was very clean and in a great location. Far enough from town to get away from any noise, but close enough to be convenient to everything in the village. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing. We had a great time!

The place was great, very clean and Mario was very helpful. The bbq didn't have propane so we called Mario and he said he would reimburse us if we purchased propane. The video game system was a hit with my kids and us as well.

Absolutely loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy with our "chalet". It was everything it was represented to be. Clean, spacious, comfortable, within walking distance to Bear Mountain. It had all the conveniences of home. Mario even called us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. We will definitely rent this chalet again. If only it had snowed while we were there it would have been perfect.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this home recently. It was all that we had expected from the photos and more-- immaculately clean, well-appointed with beautiful views, and a great location. Would definitely stay here again! Mario is a pleasure to work and is readily available by phone to answer any questions.

Great rental for skiing

  • 5 of 5

Great house for our family ski trip. We went with two families 4 adults 5 kids. The house had all the amenities: wifi, full service kitchen, big dining table washer dryer, towels, full refrigerator/freezer, HD cable in all rooms, tons of board games for the kids, and a vintage arcade machine that had 20+ different games to play (pacman, frogger, 1943, galactica, donkey kong, etc.). There was a deck and bbq grill but we did not use it.

It was super close to the big bear ski mountain entrance. We skied at snow summit which was about 5 mins away.

Would recommend this cabin to anyone. Super clean, super charming!!!!

Great Cabin, Great Location, Great Time

  • 5 of 5

We just spent 3 nights in this cabin with two families (4 adults, 5 children). The cabin was in perfect condition, modern, well decorated, while still having a great log cabin architecture. It was plenty big enough for our group with a large open concept great room and 3 spacious bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The location just up the road from Bear Mountain (approx 1/4 of a mile) and right next to the National Forest was perfect. We could get to the ski mountain very quickly and also walk to great sledding, snow stomping, and all around Winter Fun! We enjoyed our stay immensely. I highly recommend this cabin.

Very scenic, in the woods, peaceful.

We had a couple of problems, the oven didn't work - and we were snowed in!! A big storm hit over night and the car was half buried. Mario is amazing. Even though he was vacationing in another country & we had a big time difference between us, he managed to get a repair guy out right away to fix the stove. Then the following day, the day of the big snow, he called some guys to come clear the driveway & dig out the car. After we got home, he also called to make sure we made it home okay. I would highly recommend this cabin! We felt right at home with a big fire, & Pac Man to keep us company. It was really stocked in the kitchen with everything we needed for meals. Great Place - loved it.
