|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
The apartment was entirely renovated and carries all the comforts.
It’s very bright, with a beautiful view overlooking the Tiber River. It has wooden floorboards throughout, double glazed windows, air conditioning, wireless Internet and washing machine. The living area has a comfortable sofa bed, a TV and a fully equipped kitchenette.
In the loft area there is a double queen sized bed with a TV.
A bathroom with a large shower, wash basin, WC and bidet.
Complete with linens, towels, kitchen utensils, pots & pans, dishes, cups and glasses, tableware, italian moka coffee maker, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, Satellite TV with satellite international channels, internet WiFi, heating and air conditioning.
The apartment is located on the second floor (with no elevator, but a very easy climb) in an old building in the ancient Trastevere, right across the Tiber river. Steps away from Piazza Trilussa, where you’ll find a very busy night action with many bars and restaurants.
The apartment is very close to all the tourist attractions and historic monuments; 5 minutes walking distance to the Vatican, 3 minutes to Piazza Trilussa, just across the River from Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona.
There is also a bus stop just in front of the building and is not very far from the metro (1400 meters) (which there is no need to use as you can walk or take a short trip on a bus to reach most of the tourist locations).
There is a bar, a supermarket, a bakery and restaurants right outside the building.
The location is the best you could wish for!
About Trastevere:: Trastevere is a very romantic area right in the center of Rome, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from all the major touristic attractions.
Long known by Romans for its restaurants and bars, Trastevere is a pleasant area to stroll in Rome, particularly peaceful in the morning and lively in the evening as dozens of trattorias set tables out along the cobblestone streets.
The immediate area has some of the best Trastevere restaurants and trattorias as well as one of Rome's most famous bakeries all within a few blocks.
A small grocery store, bar/cafe are right down the street, in a friendly neighborhood; so you have everything you could possibly need within the neighborhood
The neighborhood of Trastevere is known for its lively nature, and the array of people it attracts, it's a favorite of foreigners due to its authenticity and the two international universities in the area.
Trastevere is also the location for a weekend pizza for most Romans who gather on the weekends in the pizzerias and stroll with a gelato through the cobblestone streets or along the river for a hand grated granita.
Trastevere is east of the historical center on the other side of the River Tiber. It’s one of Rome’s oldest neighbourhoods and certainly one of the most characteristic. Here you’ll find many restaurants and bars located on the cobbled-stone narrow streets of Trastevere. Once home to the Syrian community and then to the Jewish community, Trastevere has slowly and steadily grown into the second biggest Rione (neighborhood) in Rome.
Rich families such as the Farnese settled in amongst populace bringing wealth and giving the area a certain status that had been coveted throughout history. At the heart of Trastevere is Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere which is one of the most beautiful piazza’s in Rome.
Hermoso depto. Limpio, muy bien ubicado y excelente atención. Sin dudas vuelvo.
We found ourselves at home in this cosy, well appointed, bright and clean apartment. Location was most convenient, just at walking distance to all famous piazzas and monuments in the historical center, and next to the area of Trastevere, one of the most trending neighbours of Rome with great night life.
Luca and the owner were very attentive and gave us their assistance at all times, also making very easy tha reservation process.
We will certainly stay again in this apartment when visiting Rome in the future, and highly recommend it to our friends and relatives.
We stayed here in October. The location is perfect - we didn't use public transport at all and visited all the major tourist sites. It is also close to Trastevere which is the place to be at night time with its cobbled streets and great restaurants. Don't be put off by the entrance to the apartment - the apartment itself is modern and clean and well equipped. As others have said, you can hear the traffic - but it didn't stop us from sleeping. We loved the apartment and would stay here again if we visit Rome in the future.
The apartment served our needs very well. It was very comfortable and well located for walking tours around the city. Trastevere is a wonderful, friendly neighborhood with numerous places to eat and sights of its own. The apartment overlooks the river and is on a major roadway, so can be noisy at times. But it was a great home-base for us. We'll remember it fondly. And of course hope to return one day soon.
We loved this place! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. And like the title says it is right in the heart of the locals. Go right downstairs and get all your groceries and coffee, meat and cheese etc. It was very easy to walk to many attractions, or quickly climb the stairs to the more busy area to catch a cab. Luca was very easy to deal with, even with there was a glitch in our reservation it was taken care of immediately. He is very responsive to all our email requests etc. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again when I return to Rome.
Location location location! Within 10 minutes walking distance, you're either at the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the Campo dei Fiori, Gianicolo or the Vatican. Colosseo and Piazza del Popolo-area are a bit further away but totally do-able by foot (we travelled with our 4-year old son and didn't bother using public transportation at all - we did use some gelato stops as bribery though).
The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Can't say anything about the kitchen since we didn't eat in once (you'll find plenty of nice restaurants and bars just minutes away in central Trastevere), but it seemed to be all right.
I would recommend to use their taxi service, a driver was waiting for us at Fiumicino when we arrived and picked us up at 04.15 AM sharp. You'll pay just a few euros more than you would pay for a regular taxi but it will safe you some hassle.
If you're a light sleeper, you might be bothered by the traffic on Lungotevere (the apartment is on a lower-lying street next to Lungotevere). Closing the windows helps enormously but it will not entirely block the sound of Roman traffic.
