Peace - Owner Comment: : My brother calls our property, a little 'peace' of paradise. The silence all around is broken by the songs of birds, hearing swans flying by, cricket calls in the evenings, and the sound of waves lapping the beach. Sunsets over the lake are spectacular and many enjoy it around the large fire pit on the beach. Thank you for considering our home for your vacation. We pray for each of our renters to have a re-creating, wonderful, and joy filled time while staying on our property. Sincerely, Valerie Porter

Little Slice of Heaven
The manager greeted us upon arrival, answered all of our questions and was very welcoming. We visited with our extended family for a week in July. The weather was perfect! The views from the home and back yard are absolutely stunning. We enjoyed several sunrises and sunsets during our stay. My family and I felt right at home. There were 6 adults and 3 children. The sleeping arrangements were perfect. We had a meals at the large dining table, overlooking the lake, and enjoyed a few dinners outside on the deck. The home close to town for a quick grocery store run, but the setting is that of a private, country beach. We played several games of corn hole in the back yard (we brought our own), went for family bike rides, lots of kayaking, sand castle building, water balloon fights and bonfires on the beach. Our family also took a couple of day trips. Once over to Mackinac Island and another afternoon was spent in Mackinaw City (we took the kiddos across the bridge that day too).
It's like a little slice of heaven.
We're so very happy to know that you enjoyed your week so much. Thank you for the lovely review.
Incredible View & Comfortable Accomodations
We just returned from a week long stay while participating in the Mackinac Bridge walk. The home was very comfortable for eleven people and felt just like home. Such wonderful memories for the family, sisters, brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews. The views were incredible - Mackinac Bridge, especially at night, Mackinac Island, the eagles, the freighters and boats. Val is such a wonderful host and quick to respond to all emails and texts. Thank you for allowing us to spend quality time with the family in your home.
Thank you kindly.
A lovely home, beautiful view and a peaceful spot on the beach. It was a perfect vacation!
Thank you so much!
Awesome vacation home!!
We absolutely loved this place!!! The view of the lake was amazing and my family really enjoy taking the kayaks out on the lake in the mornings!! Loved that the house had lot of towels, silverware, etc for everyone. I would definitely recommend this place for a fun filled family vacation home.
We really appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Thank you so much!
Great home, great views!
There were 8 family members that enjoyed this Cheboygan waterfront home.
The house was so spacious that it took us a while to find all of the bedrooms and living areas!
The best part was the back deck that overlooked Lake Huron, which we spent most of our time. A bald eagle flew right over us the first morning , so that was an unexpected surprise.
The location is pretty secluded, so you don't have to worry about a lot of "next door" activity.
Tim, the caretaker, was very helpful and accessible, so if we had any questions, he was always available.
It was a perfect vacation, thanks to the owners for letting us use their house!
Thank you so much! Your comments and the fact that you enjoyed our property and house makes us very happy.
Wonderful place to vacation-our second year
Once again for our second August, we had a wonderful time here, thanks Valerie, your home is great, and an extra thanks for adding the kayaks this year, I monitored him and my grandson really enjoyed that part. Thanks to Tim, the rental manager, as usual you were very helpful during our stay. Fantastic sunsets, we got a lot of memories in our pictures including the bald eagle who landed in a nearby tree by Tims house to pose for my camera. You can see the Mackinac Bridge from the deck, even though it's 15 miles away, and on clear nights it's lit up, and beautiful. There's a lot to see and do in the area. Nice lighthouse we found near Rogers City that you can go in with the grandkids. Last year we went to Mackinac City and then Mackinac Island, only a short drive away. If you've never been to the Island, you need to go at least once in your life, take the kids/grandkids, We've gone several times. Cheboygan has a lot to offer as well, plenty of stores, restaurants, the river, and a nice park by the lake. Thanks Valerie and Tim, (They make you feel welcomed at this place.) We highly recommend this wonderful vacation home. The Rice family.
Thank you so very much, kind Rice Family!
You can see the Mackinac Bridge from 5 rooms in the house. You can see the Grand Hotel and the West Bluff of Mackinac Island as well. Bois Blanc Island is in front as well.
