"The Morgan-Marlin Cottage" is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath home that was originally built in Bradenton sometime in the late 1800's and then moved to the historic village of Cortez in 1930. It was purchased for young cousins, Morgan & Marlin in 2004. After going through a historic restoration for over a year, the home has been completed to as near its original look as possible. Everything in the home was completely new in 2005. Great screened porch w/ rockers and large open sundeck. Less than 1 mile to beaches of Anna Maria Island.. (PO Box Needed For Mail)

Right in the heart of a working fishing village!

This is a charming cottage with a wealth of history behind it's present day location and appearance. We were very comfortable and enjoyed afternoon reading from the large library of books in the cottage. Across the street is a nice park in which to walk and make visits to the Mariners Museum. Close to fishing, boating, beautiful Gulf beaches and restaurants. Had a wonderful time in Cortez!

Loved this cottage

Comfortable, quiet, plenty of space for two with a guest bedroom for visiting family and friends. Loved the community, the walks across the bridge to the beach and proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. Really enjoyed Cortez Fish Festival and Maritime Museum. Hope to come back again for vacation!
