Nice experience overall

I got this house sight unseen for the first time and I was very nervous. Todd the owner was attentive and reassuring through the whole process especially the first couple of days - there were a couple of issues that he addressed them right away. He even picked up a new Keurig for the coffee drinkers and a blender to make smoothies!!!

The house is exactly as it appears in the pix. There are some signs of wear beginning to show that can be easily corrected but no real show stoppers. The kitchen is stocked well but needs some things like new knives, a new set of nonstick pans - things that only a snobbish cook like me would miss. :-)

That said, the pool table was an absolute hit! Everyone found themselves playing at some point. As others have said, it is a 5-7 minute walk to the beach - there's a brand new wooden pathway that makes it easier than having to trek all the way on sand - but if you have older folks, it might be a tad difficult. A brand new elevator was recently installed which enabled my parents to be with the family no matter what floor we decided to be on. It also goes a long way when you have luggage and groceries.

I particularly like the top floor living space with the wall of glass which makes it feel bigger. We were about 10 adults, three teenagers and one infant - others came for the day and yet even when we were all in, we never felt crowded.

Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. I'd recommend to a friend for sure.

Incredible Property

From the moment you pull up the driveway you'll be amazed by this property. Everything about it is perfect. Location, location, location! Nothing was compromised in building this house, from the Viking appliances to the hardwood floors and luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Simply perfect.

Amazing beach house

We were 2 families -- 2 couples and 5 tweens and teens -- sharing this house. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The kids felt like they were in a house from MTV's Real World -- especially with the pool table. Amazing views, fantastic location, modern and comfortable furnishings and amenities and lots of space. Its always a little nerve-wracking to book something online with only photos and email exchanges to go on. I can say without hesitation that everything represented about this house is accurate. And Todd was extremely helpful, flexible and accommodating. He answered all of our questions and set the tone for a weekend filled with relaxation and good times. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat. On the practical side: there is a general market a block away to get basics. It is walking distance from Poppy's ice cream place and a couple of diners, restaurants and stores and viking village where you can get fresh seafood. But most of the action (like mini-golf and more stores and restaurants) are about 7 miles back toward the surf city causeway. That wasn't a problem for us -- but some folks might want to be more in the hub of the island. We liked that it was quiet with less traffic. Also, having stayed elsewhere on LBI in prior years, this part of the island is significantly wider which means that even though the house is on the beach, the catwalk to the beach was about 10 or so. Again, not a problem for us -- but just something you want to factor in. Beach passes do not come with the house and they did check when we were there so we just bought them on the beach for $6 each. (They are a little cheaper if you buy them in advance.)

Beautiful spacious property in a natural setting!

This was our first vacation on LBI, and what a great choice we made in selecting this mini ocean estate in Barnegat Light! We were finally able to bring together a part of our large family for a lovely vacation. The house is beautiful, spacious, clean, and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Todd, the owner was very pleasant as he answered our questions and promptly took care of our needs.

From the many decks on the house we had amazing views of a rainbow that appeared after a short storm, the sun rises and sunsets, the sand dunes, seagulls, and the layers of crashing ocean waves as they hit the shoreline! And one night from the roof deck, many of our skywatching guests enjoyed viewing the various constellations.

It was fun walking the path between the sand dunes and then reaching the beautiful wide beach which was scattered with pretty sea shells. We also had a lot of fun surf fishing, or just relaxing in the provided beach chairs, toes just within reach of the surf!

And of course we shopped, visited "Old Barney" and dined at some of the excellent restaurants on the island.

During the evenings, we especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, and playing pool. We all had a great vacation! Thanks Todd for making this possible. Hope to return in the future

Sorry this is about three months late, but i am still speechless from our stay. First of all the house was beautiful! Todd was very accommodating through the entire process. I called him multiple times a day with questions and he didn't mind at all. The house was absolutely perfect. Very big and spacious, with outstanding views and a quick walk to the beach. We loved our stay if you couldn't tell already. We will be back. thanks again Todd!
