Our beautiful modern villa sits high up the hill on a secluded acre of terraced land up above Kaliasem in the area of Tiga Wasa, with panoramic views of the North Bali Sea, the lush green hillside and farmland. Features include 2 air conditioned bedrooms with private open-air showers, swimming pool and 3 full-time staff. Each bedroom also has a convertible chair that sleeps 1, good for a child.
We are far enough up the hill to be away from the noise, traffic and tourists but still close (about a 15 minute drive to the beach, Lovina central restaurants and shops, the local market, etc.
We are a hillside villa and as such, the road is winding, narrow and steep. We recommend you use a local driver and car, unless you are comfortable driving such roads yourself. We feel the experience is worth the short drive!
The evenings are cooler up on the hill so the air conditioning is rarely necessary. Each bedroom has a private patio to read a book, relax or enjoy the view. There is a separate patio area just up from the house in the shade of one of the mango trees. Outside the living room there is a covered patio overlooking the pool where most meals are served (there is also an indoor dining area). We have installed outdoor speakers there. Down the steps to the pool you will find a patio area with lounge chairs and umbrellas.
We have wi-fi. 'Bali High Speed'.
Ketut, Sumi and Kadek work full time at the villa and can be of assistance to you however you like. You will also have access to our local management company's help desk, where you can arrange transportation, your own car or motorbike rental, shopping, touring, etc.
The area in which the villa is located is rural. There are a few neighbors but overall it is very peaceful and quiet.
We are located in North Bali, about 3 hours from the airport. We can arrange transportation for you if you wish. The price will vary depending on number of people and luggage.

We live in Canada and try to get to Bali once a year, stopping off at a few other places in Southeast Asia along the way. Air travel is so cheap in Asia! We love the quiet of our house in Bali, away from the noise and traffic, but close enough to go out for dinner.
Chris purchased this house in 2009
We love the view, the location away from the hustle of the city and the fact that there is still a little bit of 'Bali' left in the north, while the south is so busy and touristy. Being in a rural village environment is quite nice, our only neighbors being a few Balinese people, cows and chickens.
Our staff are wonderful and we have received many good comments about them.
Where else can you get what our villa offers for such a reasonable rate?
In the period of begin january till end february 2015 my wife and I were about six weeks in Tigawasa. It is in the raining season, but every day has its own beautiful periods. The nature is very green and beatiful with a lot of fruits in the gardens and the temperature is between 25-30 degrees.
The villa is situated in the hills of Lovina. Kadek (member of the staff) can arrange the transport to the villa. The road is very bad but I heard that the road is repaired now (end july 2015). The villa has a stunning view. Early in the morning you can see the fishermen on the sea making the daily dolphin tour. You can walk down to the sea and come back by car.
The villa has everything, even the two showers outside as part of the two bathrooms. The wifi is working well on Balinese speed. I could read the daily digital paper on the Ipad. Sumi makes simple Balinese meals every day which we liked very much. If you like french sauvignon wine I can recommend the Balinese Cape Discovery white wine or rosé, made in Bali with Australian grapes, which has a very good quality. You can buy it in Lovina at the Tiptop shop.
Kadek knows how to manage daily trips with the car all over Bali. We made two daily trips per week. This way we discovered the complete region of North of Bali. But the best is the good quality of the villa and the quiet and beautiful garden with the cow and the cocks of the neighbour. A little paradise.
We went to Villa Tiga Wasa in september and the villa is just wonderful. The view i breathtaking and the standard at the Villa was the highest we experienced in our 1 month in Bali. It really is your own little paradise :)
The personal, Sumi and Kadek, is very friendly, professional and discrete.
Only little downside is the road up to the villa. It is pretty steep and the road is really bad, but it is no problem to drive up and down with a driver or on your own in a 4wd.
We were very excited to visit a new part of Bali and stay somewhere different.
The villa was all we hoped for.
The view was amazing. We had read about the wonderful staff, Sumi and Kadek and they certainly spoilt us.
The villa had everything you could possibly need and more. We loved the garden and can imagine after the rains it would look so much greener. How lucky were to holiday in mango season!
Our first drive up and up the hill to reach Tiga Wasa was a little worrying, but after that we loved it and began to take in the stunning views, the locals and the vegetation. It was a highlight!
My only criticism and perhaps with the excellent rates offered for the villa, I have no right, would be to update the towels, they were very sad.
We loved our stay, and so did our companions and know everyone would!
Thank you Chris.
Stayed for four outstanding weeks. The villa is all that is advertised and more. The staff were warm, helpful and a delight to have around. Sumi's cooking was a bonus - good and interesting meals.
Villa Tigawasa is ideal for the group that wants to be away from the craziness of the highly built up tourist areas, yet would like access to activities and restaurants. If you want a place where you can just chill out, this is perfect.
We rented a motorbike for much of the time we were there and it worked out fine for getting up and down the mountain, but be aware that it is a narrow steep road. The neighbors, all of whom were Balinese, were welcoming and friendly.
While there is no internet access at the villa, we found many restaurants in town with free wi-fi service, so had no problem keeping in contact when we wanted to - the beauty of the place is that you find yourself not feeling so compelled to keep in touch with that other world out there.
Communication and follow through with the owners was excellent. They truly seemed concerned that all went well during your visit, and it did.
Would recommend Villa Tigawasa without any reservations, as long as your perfect image of Bali is not Kuta.
We are a swiss family with two teenagers and stayed in Villa Tiga Wasa in august 2011. The villa is a paradise! We rented many houses all over the world before, but never got anything like this. The outdoorbathroom is the most wonderful place for showers that you can imagine. Also the pool is most beautiful, allthough quite small. The bedrooms however are very large with each a pirvate terrace. The view from the front of the house over palmtrees and the see on the horizon is unbelievable. The staff Sumi and Kadek are very nice, but you have your privacy, if you don't need them. We also liked the village of Lovina with many restaurants. The only point which might dislike is the 15 minutes drive from Lovina up a very steep and small street to the house. For the local drivers that is no problem and it's worth it. If we ever come back to Bali it will be to this place. Thank you once more Chris, Sumi and Kadek!
This Villa couldn't have been better. Chris was very helpful, answering any of our questions and giving suggestions for what to do around Lovina. Everything was exactly as the listing described, but better. It was very clean, and Sumi (the housekeeper) was the sweetest lady I have ever met. She would cook for us if we asked, and the food was EXCELLENT. (Make sure you try her banana pancakes!) She even brought us snacks or food after she had gone home. Also, Kadek, the gardener, was very helpful as well. He helped us with whatever we needed, whether we asked about the pineapples in the backyard or if we wanted a place to eat for dinner. He also helped out when we had a little accident on a motorbike. The villa would not have been half as great without the staff.
The area is awesome as well. Its about a ten minute drive to the beach, but the privacy is well worth it. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, but my favorites were the Bintang Bar & Grill and Zigiz Bar. The dolphin tour is a must see. Watch out around the dolphin statue, there are plenty of people that will try to sell you various things, and they are very persistent. (Don't say maybe later!)
Overall, it was a great place to stay. We also stayed in a villa near Seminyak. It was far more expensive and supposedly better, but I would choose Villa Tiga Wasa over it any day, and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot. Thank you Chris, Sumi, and Kadek for a great experience! We hope to see you again!
Our rates in $USD are $95 per night or $600 per week. Contact us for longer term rentals. HomeAway forces us to publish our rate in Canadian dollars because we live in Canada.
Tiga Wasa is 15 minutes up the hill from Lovina, the main north Bali tourist area. Here you can find snorkeling, diving, fishing, restaurants, shops, etc. 20 minutes east is Singaraja, the former capital of Bali. A little further and you will find waterfalls, volcanoes, golfing, hiking, palaces, temples, eco-tourism, gorgeous rice terraces, coffee and cocoa plantations. The beauty of Bali is the people, the culture, the low prices, and the fact it is a small island and you can get anywhere you want in 3 to 4 hours. Our villa boasts peace, quiet, privacy and tranquility, as well as gorgeous views. Enjoy your own pool rather than sharing it with all of the other guests at a hotel. Enjoy your own personal staff. And 15 minutes away are several fantastic restaurants and bars, the local market for fresh fruit and vegetables, ATMs, convenience stores, small supermarkets, etc. Our villa is the best of both worlds! Get away from the hustle and visit Tiga Wasa.
