LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! What makes the Shore of Maui so appealing is its prime location. South Kihei, the south western central part of the Valley Isle, has the least rainfall of anywhere on Maui. Which means it has the most sunny days.

GARDEN LEVEL OCEAN VIEW suite faces west and the setting sun, located directly across from Cove Park Bay. From the pool and most of the makai side, (oceanside), you have a MILLION DOLLAR UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW of incredible sunsets and the neighboring Islands of Kaho'olawe, Molokini, and Lana'i. Directly in front is Cove Park the premier surfing and paddle boarding area of Kihei and West Maui. Adjoining Cove Park to the north is Kalama Park, a large ocean front park (about 4 blocks long) that has expansive grass areas, BBQ's, play ground, roller skating rink, skate park, tennis courts and much more. Take surf board or paddle board lessons within 2 blocks to the North. Just south of Cove Park is Charlie Young Park and Kamaole Beach I, II, and III. Fully tiled pool and jacuzzi adjoin a 22 ft. covered tiled eating area, three gas BBQs and the tennis court, all within 100 ft of the Pacific Ocean.

Our A/C system is an ULTRA QUIET SPLIT AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM PROVIDING INDEPENDENT REMOTE CONTROLLED A/C IN BOTH THE LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOM. Other upgrades are: 18' floor tile diagonal pattern throughout, expanded kitchen with an eating bar, new thermopane lanai door and bedroom windows and frames, which when closed, keeps more heat out and the coolness in. Kitchen counters have just been upgraded to Corian surfaces with a new stainless sink and modern faucet. Living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath all have ceiling fans. Oak front door with key-less coded entry and locking security screen door. Flat screen HD TV's (46" Samsung Smart TV in the living room and 24"' in the bedroom) and free private and secure wireless internet in our unit. New (2013) living room furniture. Fully tiled shower with bamboo glass enclosure. Our parking lot was completely repaved October of 2014. Park right in front with direct access to the condo.

There are NO STAIRS to encounter and the entry to the pool area is ramped for wheelchair access.

We manage our own condo and our housekeeping staff is second to none. #122 is always fresh and clean for arriving guests.

We continue to make improvements, as this is our second home, not just a rental unit. We take pride in paying attention to details, having your comfort and satisfaction in mind. We are positive that you will not be disappointed and that you will want to return year after year to enjoy a great vacation in Paradise.

This is the third unit at the Shores of Maui that we have owned and remodeled over the past 21 years.

David and Kate McKibben purchased this condo in 2003

Why David and Kate McKibben chose Maui

Shores of Maui enjoys an unobstructed view of the ocean and 3 adjoining islands. Watch the surfers, paddle boarders, Hawaiian outrigger canoes, humpback whales (seasonal Nov-April) from our lanai, the tennis court or the pool area. The two small beaches directly in front of us have come back over the past several years.

Our housekeeper is the best. #122 is always sparkling clean and fresh for your arrival.

CLEANING FEE IS INCLUDED IN THE RENT..

What makes this condo unique

Shores of Maui is a 5 minute walk to a major grocery store, restaurants, and shops. The south end of Cove Park is just 100 feet from our property with two small sandy beaches. We are a small 50 unit complex and people return often to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Join owners and guests poolside at 5:00 PM each Thursday at the PuPu party.

The condo unit was great, clean , bright , updated and air conditioned. Loved the location as was convenient and many things within walking distance. It was a very safe feeling set of condos and so nice to have a swimming pool. The owners were great... Informative and accommodating. The people staying there more long term were helpful. Would love to go back again.

Everything you will need....

We have stayed in several condos at Shores of Maui over the years, and the McKibbins Condo takes the Gold for sure. The quality remodel is perfect and the little things they have added makes all the difference here. Quality furnishings thru-out makes it very cozy. Great TV and entertainment center always makes me happy while recovering from a day at the beach. Can't go wrong here! The only thing I would suggest is renting back pack type beach chairs from Boss Frogs, they are bigger and you can carry other items in them. There are two chairs there but smaller. A soft cooler, ice packs, and quality beach towels are there as well. The pool area has a new deck and the barbies are top notch while cooking your favorite fish while watching the sunset over Cove Beach Park. This is the place to be!! Aloha and much Maholo....

Great time

Me and my wife stayed for 6 nights and had a blast! This is one of the only condos that has a/c in the living room and bedroom, so you can sleep without being super sweaty and hot! The apartment was clean and organized, and we would/will definitely stay again.

Extremely clean!

It was remarkable how clean it was when we first got there. Quite often when you check into a rental of some sort, there will be tell-tale signs of previous guests. Not so here. It was decorated very nicely without being over the top. The extra cupboard added was ingenious and really helped with extra kitchen needs, which was necessary because it was stocked with everything you could need/want! Parking was right outside the door - so convenient! No lobby or elevators to use when you're wet and/or sandy. Cove Park and Charley Young Beach have always been our favorites, and are such a short walk away. Thank you for sharing your home with others - it was much appreciated!

Can't beat it!

My wife and I stayed a week here this Spring, and we'd be remiss if we didn't shout to the heavens how down-to-earth comfortable the McKibben's unit is!!! Strong wifi, clean accommodation, comfy beds, the BEST electronic air-conditioning in the complex, modern kitchen with ALL the things you need to cook/eat/clean/store things with, and decently quiet (considering it's central location)!

David gave us a great pre-arrival brief, answered all our "first-timer" questions, gave us a foolproof entry method (even if we arrived late -- which we did!), and really made us feel as if we were just making ourselves at home!

We will definitely put David and Kate's condo on the top of our "call list" the next time we're planning to visit Maui!

Exceptional Time

We spend a week every year in Kehei and for the last 3 have been staying at the Shores of Maui. This year in unit 122. That unit is wonderful, clean and very convenient to all amenities. The host are caring and detailed in confirming your booking arrangements. I would recommend this unit as it is perfect for more mature couples, 50 years plus.
