My passion for nature seems to reflect my personality with this cabin. It is the perfect setting for back to simpler times with all modern features.
Victor Capo purchased this cabin in 2009
Authentic Log cabin, remote location. NO SHEET ROCK ALLOWED! lol
Covered porch overlooking Lehigh River on a bike/hike trail at the foot of the cabin!
The cabin looks amazing! It looks EXACTLY like the pictures. The surroundings were beautiful. You will love staying here.
Cabin in Fair condition, sofas not comfortable, chair and bar stools unsteady, and unsafe, many dishes and utensils unclean, not a lot of natural light making it dark, hot tub never got to temperature, grill was extremely dirty and walk to river was not easy. This is a great cabin for a bachelor party but not a family vacation spot.
Really nice house. We had fun playing all of the games and walking on the river path. The only complaint is the temperature downstairs was freezing even in the summer.
For the third straight year, a few friends and I booked Vic's amazing cabin for a weekend getaway. Vic makes it so easy and is extremely accommodating with any question you might have leading up to your stay. Once you get there, the house everything you could think of for a fun Poconos weekend. Thanks to Vic and I encourage anyone to book this for a great summer weekend!
This house was perfect for a friends reunion. Adequate space, lots of indoor entertainment and well stocked kitchen for cooking. Our weekend was hot and humid so we didn't use the outdoor space much but it would have been great. The pool table, puzzles and poker table got a lot of use. Plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy. The path along the river was beautiful but we only ventured out once due to the trip. Would consider coming back in spring to see the rhododendron in bloom. Massive amounts everywhere. Very enjoyable. Just don't plan on having lots of places to go. Town is very small with not a lot to do.
Stayed at the cabin with a group of 17 guys for a bachelor party. Everything was immaculate ! Could not have asked for a better weekend at this cabin. Highly recommend for anyone planning a bachelor party or just a weekend away.
Lehigh River Gorge & National Historic Trail: walking, biking, swimming, tubing, rafting, fishing
Lehigh Gorge State Park: Lehigh Gorge State Park contains 4,548 acres of land and about 30 miles of the Lehigh River. Recreational opportunities include: hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and whitewater boating. About 26 miles of abandoned railroad grade follow the river and are available to hiking and biking and provide access for hunting and fishing. Whitewater boating is a major attraction of the park. This section of the Lehigh River is Class III whitewater and is popular for rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
Hickory Run State Park: (across the river from our cabin, approx 2 miles away) The 15,500-acre Hickory Run State Park, has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas and miles of trout streams. The Boulder Field, a striking boulder-strewn area, is a National Natural Landmark. Swimming: A sand beach is open from late-May to mid-September. A snackbar has sandwiches, drinks, ice cream and snacks.
Nescopeck State Park: (approx 6 miles from cabin) Bordered on the south by steep Mount Yeager and on the north by Nescopeck Mountain, the 3,550-acre Nescopeck State Park encompasses wetlands, rich forests and many diverse habitats. Nescopeck Creek, a favorite of anglers, meanders through the park. Hiking trails follow the creek, climb mountains, pass through quiet forests and skirt wetlands. An environmental education center provides year round educational programs on the park’s unique resources.
Beltsville State Park: The 2,972-acre Beltzville State Park, at the Jim Thorpe exit. The Pohopoco Creek, an excellent trout stream, feeds the 949-acre Beltzville Lake, which is a rest-stop for migrating waterfowl and is a destination for boaters and anglers. The sand beach and picnic pavilions are very popular.
