A great find! You'll love all this property has to offer! Thanks CT.
We enjoyed our stay. We stayed a total of 10 nights and there were 4 people in our party. The bed fits two adults and then the couches in the Living Room when put together fits another two people. There is a good sized dining table and lots of other chairs for seating. Beautiful View of the ocean from the balcony where we spent a lot of time sitting and eating. There was a nice breeze that would flow through when the doors and windows are open.
I would definitely recommend this condo and this is coming from someone who lived in Hau'ula for 10 years so I am pretty local to the area. It was very comfortable for us and we made a lot of great memories there.
Lots of great places to eat... Two Bald Guys and the Shrimp Truck across the street are so good... Also Papa Ole's at the Hauula Kai Shopping center is also fantastic. Always good to hit up one of the Luau's at Polynesian Cultural Center for some good food too - they also have a nice market place which they never had before. Also Tamura's at Hauula Kai shopping ctr carries Ted Bakery Pies so we were stoked we didn't have to drive to Sunset to buy a Chocolate Haupia Pie (even tho Sunset is only a 20min drive).
Mahalo Cheryl and family for opportunity to stay in your home. Will def be back.
My fiancee and I loved the place and the owner Cheryl was beyond helpful. Amazing beach right outside and not many people so have your privacy. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice getaway from all the feast pace living.
Had a great time at Blue Hawaii Paradise! The pictures accurately describe it. The owner responded within a few minutes to all emails. We chose to rent this unit at Pat's at Punalu'u condos because it is on the 5th floor with a great view of the water/palm trees. Lower floors are obstructed by 1-2 story cottages in front of condo & 3rd floor has a cement railing on the balcony as opposed to a railing like this unit that you can still see through. Some reviews in the condo talk about road noise on bedroom side. This unit has 2 couches on rollers that can be made into 2 comfortable twin beds or a king. We planned beforehand to set up the open concept kitchen, eating area, couch area into a room similar to a hotel room & just sleep in the open room where we could listen to the ocean. When you walk into the unit, turn right & you will walk through an open doorway (no bedroom door), but that whole area is really the bedroom that contains a full bathroom with a door & also contains a washer/dryer, a closet that has the doors off of it & a dresser. The bed is up against one wall as shown in the pictures. We used the bedroom area to store our things, but didn't sleep in there. Also, we chose this location because it is not in the city with the traffic where crowds of people are all sharing a small beach front. This beach is much more private with gentle waves at this beach, perfect for milder water activity. From this great location, we spent time exploring the many beaches a few minutes north & south such as the Kuilima Cove public beach known for snorkeling that Turtle Bay Resort customers use. This unit has the snorkeling equipment, beach towels & chairs. We went to many North Shore beaches on our way to & from the Dole Plantation (Sunset, Banzai Pipeline [Ehukai], Waimea Bay & Papa'iloa, a very private beach where "Lost" was filmed.) Another day we went a few minutes south & visited the macadamia nut farm, the Byodo-In Temple, then to Kaneohe for a movie, mall & dinner, & stopped at "Chinamen's Hat" Beach (Kualoa Beach) on the way back. You could also spend the day exploring Kualoa Ranch tours & enjoy zipline, horseback, atv, or tour where Jurassic Park was filmed. The condo is a few minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center. For eating, the best meals we had were from the Thai Express & Aloha shrimp trucks both parked at the convenience store just south of the condo. Would definitely rent this unit again because it's affordable for what it offers.
As we started to think about another spring vacation at Blue Hawaii Paradise Beachfront Condo, my husband reminded me we did not complete the review for last April. Sorry for the Delay! We were there for a full month and loved it! It was everything it was advertised to be! We have gone to Hawaii about every year for the past 30 years and have always stayed in Waikiki or several times in Laie. We wont go back to Waikiki to stay. As seniors the bus passes are very cheap and take you anywhere on the island without worrying about the traffic. We rented a car the day we arrived to do grocery shopping, then took it back. Then rented the last day again to get the luggage back to the airport. The only downside was the storage space, because we did have a lot of groceries. The bedroom alcove was difficult (as seniors) to crawl in and out of and we may go to a real one bedroom this year. The owner was great to answer any questions (like how do I turn the shower on) and security was always there to assist. We arrive at 11pm and he was there to help us get the key out of the lock box and direct us to our room. Thank you for a wonderful 30th anniversary month.
Punaluu is 25 minutes from Kaneohe and 45 minutes from Waikiki, Pearl Harbor and the airport. Drive to Kualoa Ranch, Waimea, Turtle Bay, North Shore’s Sunset Beach and Haleiwa, Polynesian Cultural Center, shopping and horseback riding all with in a few minutes. Or spend the day swimming or walking on the quiet, peaceful beach far away from the crowds of Waikiki.
