Overview

1st Arrondissement Louvre Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This listing on HomeAway/VRBO is the same as on travelmob.com:

It is a prestigious building designed in the Hausmann era ideally located two minutes away from the Palais Royal and the Louvre, with the renowned shopping and restaurant district that surrounds. Access into the apartment is both easy and secure; two codes are needed to enter the building, and then it is only a short ride in the elevator to the fourth floor. The Metro is downstairs.

Upon entering the apartment the immediate impression is of space and light. An entrance gallery takes you through to a vast reception room of 50 square meters with 4 meter high ceilings and long windows looking out onto the bustling streets of Paris. However, whilst being in the center of this busy city, the apartment is still remarkably quiet, as the other floors in the building are occupied by offices, and street noise is cut out but its double-glazed windows. Thanks to the apartment’s tasteful decoration, which blends both old and new Parisian style, there is no doubt that you will be glad to return home after a busy day in Paris.

Suitability:

Beautiful, comfortable, and quite Parisian!!

  • 5 of 5

A group of us stayed in this beautiful condo for the Paris marathon. First, Natasha is a kind and charming woman. Her communication is immediate and accurate, with the perfect blend of business and friendship. All transactions went smoothly, including receiving the full deposit and a reimbursement for a coffee pot we replaced since the one in the apartment leaked. She was everything one could ask for in a host. Max, her assistant met us at the apartment, and was also easy going and quite responsive when we called.

The apartment itself is quite beautiful in the typical Paris style with floor to ceiling French door windows in the three front rooms facing the street. The furnishings are beautiful and quite comfortable for lounging around after long days on our feet. The main living area worked perfectly for large gatherings, something we did every night since it is difficult to go out to eat with 8-12 people (friends who were in Paris for the marathon joined us for meals). The kitchen is large and ended up being another gathering place for our group. It has everything you need for casual meals and drinks. We didn't cook much, so I didn't inspect pots and pans, etc, but I know they are there. We had plenty of glasses for our wine, and plates for our bread, cheese, meat, and fruit meals. No one ever said, "I wish we had a ..." The bathrooms were all clean and comfortable, plenty of room for everyone. Towels were plentiful and nice. It is very clear that this is Natasha's home. She has interesting artwork, wonderful photos of family, and artifacts from homeland countries and visited places around the globe. It is truly a beautiful space that has a feeling of a home.

The location is in a lively part of town and right next to transit. We wanted for nothing in this location. HIGHLY recommended!!

Amazing and magical experience

  • 5 of 5

A great place! Everything I read in the previous reviews was matched and there was a lot more to it. We have a large family with children of all ages and everybody had enough space not to feel we are renting an apartment and we have to tolerate something.

It’s a great very beautifully decorated apartment with huge windows and a lot of light.

We didn’t feel we were missing air conditioner as the windows go to 2 different sides of the street and the way the building was built allows the air to circulate in the apartment.

We loved the blinds on all windows, so you can sleep in a dark when you are jetlagged.

It’s also very quiet in the apartment considering the location. The windows are extremely well made. Location itself you can’t beat! It is truly the heart of Paris and after all the things that happened in Paris sometimes you prefer to walk or take a bicycle just across the street. The Metro is downstairs anyways, so when it rains it is very convenient.

The apartment is very clean and the maid did our laundry in the middle of our stay.

The kitchen is big with a great window and a beautiful view so the whole family of 8 can easily have a breakfast or a dinner there. The apartment is managed with attention to details and Natasha answers right away about everything. She helped us to book a very good driver and gave us a list of restaurants we loved.

We would highly recommend this apartment!

Location is key. Place is spacious!

  • 5 of 5

I picked this place because of the # of positive Homeaway reviews. Smart choice.

Location is the best. Right next to the Louvre - 7 min walking distance.

The apartment is very large. Probably over 2200 sq ft. Bedrooms are big and far apart from other bedrooms. No bedroom is right next to each other. Two bedrooms have their own person bathroom. At least 4 bathrooms in total. Kitchen and living room are spacious. Kitchen has a huge window that opens to sunlight...great place for breakfast.

Close to Opera house and department stores. St. Honore is one block away. Monoprix (supermarket) is one block away. 5 bakeries in a 2 block radius. Lots of restaurants nearby. Japan restaurant district is two blocks away. Location is key.

Owner is very responsive and understanding. If you have any questions, she gets back to you in a day.

One heads-up is that the laundry is done by the maid. The washing machine/dryer is not available. If you have young kids/babies who spill alot, this might be a small concern, but it wasn't for us even though we had small kids. The maid was very helpful and did a good job washing and drying the clothes.

I highly recommend this place!

Owner's Response: Thank you! Your great review means a lot to us! We want people especially with children to feel the most safe in our building and be able to walk everywhere even skipping the Metro. We also travel a lot and know how rare it is in Paris to have big space and many bathrooms. Please come again!

Huge, comfortable apartment in the center of Paris

  • 4 of 5

This is a fantastic apartment! It accommodates 4 couples perfectly. It's huge for Paris or even US standards, centrally located, clean, well equipted, and flooded with light. The metro is right downstairs (literally), the Louvre is a 5 minute walk, as are great restaurants, markets and shops. Natasha and her staff were great and very responsive. The only complaint we had was that it was a bit noisy. But that is a small price to pay to house 8 people in the center of one of the greatest cities in the world. We would highly recommend it.

Incredible Week in Paris

  • 5 of 5

Our incredible week in Paris was perfect because of this amazing apartment! Ii is huge and beautiful and interesting. Four very nice bedrooms for each of our couples traveling together. Lots of room to spread out and have privacy as well as a wonderful gathering spot for our nightly wine feast. Every amenity you could need is within a few minutes walk. Shopping, wine, boulangerie, fromagerie, boucherie all a few steps away. Wonderful restaurants nearby. And all of this literally a few steps from the metro stop! So you can get anywhere in Paris quite easily as well as walk to the Louvre, the Opera, the Tuileries.

The apartment is very clean, secure and private...and it is extremely interesting with fun art and décor. Just a wonderful place to stay. And as many have already mentioned, Natasha is a pleasure to work with. She communicates well, is very helpful and makes sure you have all the details you need. Max was great help and guided us to some local favorites. Style, class, location...it has it all! Can't say enough good things about the entire experience...we will be back for sure.

Perfect for all ages

  • 5 of 5

Our multigenerational family of 9 felt like special Parisians living in this beautiful apartment in an absolutely perfect location to experience Paris. Natasha could not have been more helpful in preparing for our stay....and once there, Max provided great recommendations for restaurants frequented by the locals. The Rue de Marche St Honore , just a couple blocks away, offered at least 12 dining choices....Foxia was one of our favorites.

With our Paris Pass, we had to pick up vouchers and can you believe, the address was exactly next door ! While it could have been anywhere in Paris, we only had to walk 20 feet ! And having the metro just outside our door proved so convenient, especially in the evenings.

All of the bedding was comfortable and we loved having a bathroom for each of the four bedrooms, plus a powder room in the entrance hall. The kitchen seemed to be well outfitted, however we ate all meals out or brought in pastries from Paul's to begin the day.

We would definitely stay here again.

This is the geographical center of Paris and a haven for tourists. The Louvre, Les Halles and the Palais Royal are all here. This neighborhood is in the heart of the old city of Paris on the Right bank (Rive Droite) of the River Seine. It has some magnificent buildings including the Louvre, Palais Royal, the Opera Garnier, the Tuileries gardens and the place Vendôme. Five star hotels, top restaurants, Cartier, Chanel. You will stay in the one area of Paris where there is the most important number of museums, gardens, architecture, shops, restaurants, bistros and cafes. There will be many exciting things to do, see, visit, and taste! The location is really exceptional, and so is this Paris apartment.
