This listing on HomeAway/VRBO is the same as on travelmob.com:
It is a prestigious building designed in the Hausmann era ideally located two minutes away from the Palais Royal and the Louvre, with the renowned shopping and restaurant district that surrounds. Access into the apartment is both easy and secure; two codes are needed to enter the building, and then it is only a short ride in the elevator to the fourth floor. The Metro is downstairs.
Upon entering the apartment the immediate impression is of space and light. An entrance gallery takes you through to a vast reception room of 50 square meters with 4 meter high ceilings and long windows looking out onto the bustling streets of Paris. However, whilst being in the center of this busy city, the apartment is still remarkably quiet, as the other floors in the building are occupied by offices, and street noise is cut out but its double-glazed windows. Thanks to the apartment’s tasteful decoration, which blends both old and new Parisian style, there is no doubt that you will be glad to return home after a busy day in Paris.
We were in Paris for a girl's weekend/birthday celebration and could not have picked a better place. Not cheap, but so worth it for a special occasion or a group/family. Four generous bedrooms & multiple bathrooms ensured that we all had our own space; the huge living/sittingroom and well-equipped large eat-in kitchen allowed us to hang out and bring in the requisite pâté/cheese/baguette/wine dinners on two occasion. The decor is funky and personal, with new things to discover every time you get lost in the enormous space. The elevator is small but very helpful for luggage, given the apartment is on the 4th floor. The owners were very responsive, including to our requests to get the keys early and drop off luggage as well as to leave it for a couple of hours after check-out time. The "memo" with do's and don'ts is a bit daunting, but most things on the list are self-explanatory for anyone inclined to respect another's living space. The only minor issue is that the WiFi seems to have somewhat limited bandwidth when there are 4 people with their various "devices" active at the same time. There is ample shopping (incl a late-hours Monoprix, but also clothes and other things) right outside the door, and a Paul's a block and a half away for those wonderful breakfast croissants and pastries. Les Galeries Lafayette are a 10 minute walk. Would definitely recommend to anyone keen on making a special weekend in Paris a little extra-special.
First of all, I have to say that Natasha was awesome to work with! She seemed genuinely invested in providing the best possible experience for her guests! She was extremely prompt with all communications which eased the stress for us, coming from the United States. The property was centrally located and very convenient, including walking distance to the metro and The Louvre. It felt very safe with several locked doors to get into the property. The property was large and accommodated all 8 of us comfortably. It was very clean and didn't have any unusual odors. The bedrooms were roomy and the kitchen was a good size but we didn't cook there at all. I was a little nervous because there were lots of nice artifacts and a long list of "do's and don'ts" and I was constantly concerned that we would do something wrong accidentally, even though all 8 of us were adults. Had we had kids with us, I think I would have gone bananas. As it was, we were only in the apartment to sleep so it worked out just fine. I would definitely recommend this property and we would stay there again should we be so lucky to go to Paris in the future.
This apartment is huge! We were 5 adults and 3 children and still had plenty of space to move. Beautiful building, short walk to Tuileries and Metro just downstairs. Excellent location. Very responsive host.
This apartment was perfect for our whole family - lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. It really is just a short walk to the Louvre and there's a metro stop right outside the building. We loved the high ceilings and the beautiful molding around the ceiling. Natasha was great to work with and made sure we were able to find the place and get in and out easily. The kitchen was nice too and there are two grocery stores close by. The whole family had a great time and really enjoyed this apartment.
First, the pictures and description on the website don't misrepresent the property. So you can be confident that what you are renting is true to what's being shown there.
Second, Natasha (the owner) was great. Plenty of communication before, during, and after. The payments and deposit return went smooth. I used PayPal, although there are service charges you will need to account for.
Third, arrival and entry to the property was also smooth. We took an uber from the airport, but there is also a metro station right outside the door of the building. We took the elevator up, and Natasha's representative let us in, showed us around, and provided the keys.
The property is beautiful, large and spacious and is in an amazing location. Plenty of space for privacy and a great room for gathering with the friends and family. It's well maintained, lots of interesting decorations, but more importantly a very comfortable space to relax in. There were plenty of TVs if you need them, we watched alot of soccer / football during the Euro soccer tournament so that was a must for us. The full kitchen was great. We made a trip to the Monoprix (grocery store) which is just a block away, and has everything you need for your stay. Don't forget condiments, like salt, sugar, etc. if you need them.
That takes us to the neighborhood, which was also amazing. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, already mentioned the grocery store, and the metro station is literally right outside the door. Not too far is a really nice gym that will charge you a day pass to workout. It's very walk-able to many sites.
Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely rent again...rent this property without any worries.
We had a wonderful time in Paris. This house fit our family of 11 very well and was in a fantastic location!! Natasha was easy to contact and receive a response from. The rules were intimidating in the beginning (fragile windows, delicate furniture, etc) but didn't hinder us. There were only 3 separate bathrooms that had a shower or bath, which was one less than expected, but again we were able to work it out. Not being able to use the laundry was a slight inconvenience but the maid did several loads of laundry for us which was very nice. All in all it was a great stay.
This is the geographical center of Paris and a haven for tourists. The Louvre, Les Halles and the Palais Royal are all here. This neighborhood is in the heart of the old city of Paris on the Right bank (Rive Droite) of the River Seine. It has some magnificent buildings including the Louvre, Palais Royal, the Opera Garnier, the Tuileries gardens and the place Vendôme. Five star hotels, top restaurants, Cartier, Chanel. You will stay in the one area of Paris where there is the most important number of museums, gardens, architecture, shops, restaurants, bistros and cafes. There will be many exciting things to do, see, visit, and taste! The location is really exceptional, and so is this Paris apartment.
