This property is located right in the middle of the 290 wine trails. It is just outside one of the cutest little German towns in Texas with shops and great restaurants. Among the Texas Stars is located on a 360 acre working ranch with a game barn that has a ping pong table and horseshoes. There is picnicking or fishing at the river which is about 1/2 a mile stroll. There is abundant wildlife to capture, along with horses and cows. The best part about this property is you can just sit on the front porch overlooking the hill country or soak up a little R&R in the hammock.
We had a wonderful experience for our 10 year anniversary. We loved the baked treats that were homemade, the fire pit was relaxing and checking out all the stars from the hot tub. So close to town still and right in the middle of all the wineries. We climbed Enchanted rock, checked out LBJ's place and visited downtown Fredericksburg. We look forward to coming back and renting both houses with the family.
The cabin was clean and nice. The baked good each day were delicious. The property the cabin was on was absolutely gorgeous. Horse, cows, and tons of deer. There was a creek and and lake for fishing. We hope
to go back one day.
The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway in between our Austin and San Antonio trip. When we walked in and saw the lights on the canopy bed and how perfect it was my husband just said honey you did good. (I am the researcher on where we stay) Perfect location near wineries and just about 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. We originally thought we would be out at the wineries the majority of the time. But honestly we were little disappointed, the only one we enjoyed was Becker. So we spent most of Sunday just relaxing at the cabin. Walking the ranch, playing ping pong, horseshoes and just relaxing on the hammock and in the hot tub. Monica and Marc are the nicest people you could ever meet, really enjoyed our conversation with them. It was nice to put faces to the email correspondence. Monica responds to emails in a flash. Also, she needs to open a bakery. The baked goods she left for us were the best we've ever had. We still talk about the cinnamon buns, OMG so delicious!! We were celebrating our anniversary and the bottle of champagne and homemade cobbler left for us was a very nice touch. The refrigerator was stocked with everything you need and more. Thanks again for all of your personal touches right down to the chocolates on the bedside tables. Great memories!
This rustic B and B Under the Texas Stars was just what we needed for getting away from the busy city. We enjoyed the private hot tub and built a camp fire and used the grill for cooking our dinner. It was raining one morning so we enjoyed our breakfast and mimosas on the front porch while listing to the rain hit the tin roof. The homemade biscuits were so soft and tasty. Thank you Monica for the complimentary champagne and chocolate cake, you helped make our 36th wedding anniversary perfect.

This was the perfect place for us. It was quiet, accommodating and close to so many wineries and also right down the street from Wildseed Farms. It was nice to go take tours of the town or the nearby wineries and have such a cozy place to come back to and watch the stars either by the campfire or from the hot tub, We most definitely will be back.
(We went in March, but I am unable to change the month for the review)
Everybody should have the chance to share this little piece oh heaven . Enjoyed the stay. The baked goods were the best surprise. Of course I forgot some things as I was getting ready for the weekend. But the fridge was stocked with eggs milk cereal. Everthing I needed to make breakfast , plus those homemade biscuits I could not wait to try. Wonderful
Right in the middle of the 290 Wine Trail
