ChaletsOasis lies 45 minutes north of Montreal in the laurentian mountians and a drive south to Canada's premier ski resort of Mont Tremblant. It sits nestled on the edge of a spring fed lake, shrouded by a blanket of spruce cedar and pine. The lake house has been built in an ecologically friendly way, using controlled soured Canadian timber. The house has been constructed to a extremely high spec to cope with the extreme weather Canada can throw at you. Air conditioning, underfloor heating and an open fire place for those cozy nights inside, and a hot tub and sauna for those cozy nights outside. You can choose to cook in the hand built fully fitted designer kitchen or venture outside to the gas fired barbecue. Its up to you.
Living here you really are 'at one' with nature and the environment, bringing the outside in through the cathedral glass walls and giving you the opportunity to spy on some of the local wildlife. Kingfishers, Raccoons, chipmunks, eagles and even the occasional moose. From sunbathing to star gazing from skiing to chilling, this really is a true haven any time of year.
This house can accommodate up to 14 people. It has been personally designed from planning by the owner as have all the interior design.

Morin Heights, and Saint Sauveur were our favorite part of the laurentides in Quebec. We love this area as it has everything you could want. It has four very different seasons, letting us ski in the winter and swim in the lake in the summer.
The peace and tranquility of living in the woods among the wild life was very appealing. We have seen eagles, raccoons, deer, chipmunks and the occasional moose. The exciting range of outdoor activities available in the summer, golf, cycling swimming in the lake, the water park and the zip wires at Morin Heights. Our private pontoon where I do my daily yoga, and where the kids take a boat out, swim or just sunbathe in the beautiful hot Canadian summer. All with the added security of a gated community.
Your place is breathtaking. We had an amazing time for my surprise 30th birthday! very clean and quality of the place made our stay very enjoyable.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a nice well kept place!
We stayed at this Lakehouse over Labor Day weekend- 2 couples who have rented from VRBO in the past.
Firstly, you get charged if you want to use the BBQ- that should have been a sign! The home itself IS beautiful...and great spacious grassy grounds. However, comes w/ zero cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc. So you have to go to the store and buy it all in order to keep it clean. The a/c was broken-and in 30 degree weather this was brutal. Tried to open windows in our room, but was covered in wasps. The heat upstairs in master bedrooms was brutal! So much for our luxury getaway!
Sinks broken upon arrival (which were fixed during our stay). The "lakeside" title means be prepared to climb down a VERY STEEP rustic path to a tiny dock with not even a single chair to sit on. If you have young children, this is not the place for a lake get away as this is complelty dangerous. Kitchen utencils all chipped and broken. After hoping the owner would give a discount of some kind for all the items mentioned above she was dismissive. My only course of action is to share on here our experience.
We stayed at the Lakehouse April 2010 with our two children and two friends with their three children. It's a very stylish cabin in a great location set in beautiful surrounding scenery. The rooms are all spacious and the cabin is packed with amenities. Our children loved the outdoor hot tub and Satelliet TV and Cinema room. The area was safe for them to play outside in the snow and it was nice to be able to watch them from the huge glass fronted windows in the lounge area. It was great to have the extra space and not feel cramped staying with another family.
We skied in the local area which was perfect even for my 5 year old with little experience. There were plenty of local restaurants to choose from with a good selection of food suitable for the some of the more fussy eaters in the group.
I would definitely recommend this chalet to families with children or even groups of friends, we loved it.
