This 4 BR 2 BA is ideally situated on Lake LBJ right next to Beaver Island. Kitchen and main upper living room have cathedral ceilings. From the second-story deck you can watch jet skiers' tricks while you barbecue on the on-deck grill. The deck faces west, so you're in store for beautiful sunsets while you sip your favorite ice cold drink. There is a kitchenette, refrigerator, and 7-ft pool table on the lower level so the kids can have their separate area.
There is a boat dock and there are several launch ramps nearby. The owner's boat stays in the lift, but the dock is available. You can swim right off the lawn. The property is completely fenced except for the lakeside, of course. This small community has 19 parks, many with barbecues, boat launches, and most with swing sets for the young set. Home has a collection of various games. There is something for everyone to do, especially if you want to do nothing. House has WiFi for those who must remain connected.

I am a single parent of one boy and a realtor in the Austin, TX area.
Linda Y Peterson purchased this house in 2006
Lake LBJ is considered to be a constant-level lake, so lake activities are always available.
Beautiful sunsets and fun lake activities in a quiet neighborhood setting.
This house is located in the perfect place for families with children! They yard is great and the quiet cove allowed for safe swimming and kayaking! The Extra sleeping area was awesome! We enjoyed the deck and large shade tree! Can't wait for next year!
Loved the house was nice that kids had all downstairs and adults upstairs- worked out really well cause it was 4 adults and 5 kids everyone had their own space. House was clean and had everything we needed. I would surely stay there again and enjoyed it went by too quick !
We has a great family thanksgiving getaway. The kitchen and balcony were huge and provided ample room for everyone to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with all required tools for making a great thanksgiving feast and we loved using the grill for other meals as well. The location was also ideal for being close to golf courses, restaurants, and local breweries and wineries. The downstairs and upstairs living spaces allowed for us to have different activities all going on at once. The house was also immaculately clean and Linda was great to work with. We would love to come back in the summer!
I absolutely loved the space - beautiful patio, friendly neighbor, lake access, and a fine space indoors as well (spent almost no time in there). Had a little trouble getting my reservation dates correct online but it worked out fine with the booking agent who did an excellent job. Nothing fancy but a great comfortable environment that I would return to again. 3 day rental minimum is kind of a bummer, but its stated clearly so cant dock any points for that. Will probably return.
We have become regulars at this house. It meets all of our needs and right on the lake.
We had a great family vacation at this lakehouse over the July 4th weekend. The best part about this place is the absolutely perfect lake access. The house is on what appeared to be a man made inlet that was essentially open water because of it's width. It would have been nice for it to be a no wake zone, but the location deterred most fast boats and jet skis. The house was pretty much as advertised. I'd agree with another review that while it was clean, it's in need of a deep cleaning. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. I'd recommend the owner invest just a bit of money to clean out & upgrade the mismatch kitchen supplies and the two A/C units in the 2 bedrooms downstairs. There also really needs to be a second A/C unit in the larger downstairs living/sleeping area. The unit in place struggled to keep things cool during the day. There were A LOT of warnings in the renters book about not turning the A/C down too low or the units would freeze up. Some attention and possible upgrades would correct these problems and make it a more comfortable stay for guests. Overall, however, we had a really wonderful time. And since the lakehouse is really all about that lake, we weren't disappointed in the least. The lake time was absolutely perfect. We'll be back again, for sure.
