My husband and I built this house as a vacation retreat for us and our family in 1973. The house was totally refurbished in 2005. We've had many, many wonderful years to enjoy the beauty of Beaver Lake and now want to share our home, as I'm 93 years old and don't visit it as often.
Karen Gaither purchased this cottage in 1973
We purchased and built on this property because of the natural beauty and clear waters of Beaver Lake. This property is half way between Wichita, KS and St. Louis, MO and provided a meeting place for us and Kansas relatives.
The benefits of this property are it's lake front location and nature/wildlife all around. The House is in Lost Bridge Village and the community is very friendly. View the website for additional information.
First of all Karen who manages the property is outstanding. She is quite informative of the area and very detailed in explaining what we needed to do since we would be a VERY late arrival. This is a great house and has a wonderful view of the lake. It is cold in the winter and we brought extra blankets. Very toasty up stairs and much cooler down stairs but nothing we did not plan for and we slept like rocks. The beds were super comfortable. The house is fully stocked right down to board games and a fishing pole. The kitchen has every dish you could ever need and a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Our budget savings was phenomenal since we could cook right there. Though I don't travel with pets, this is a pet friendly place. So if you have allergies request one of their places that are pet free. I will stay there again.
