Pine Point is a village that borders, on one side, the largest salt marsh in Maine the 'Scarborough Marsh' with the Nonsuch river whose delta contains the picturesque 'Lobstermans Warf.' On the other side is what many people consider one of the best beaches in the U.S. With its huge low tide sandbars and the ability to walk the beach for the whole 6 miles of Saco Bay. Pine Points unique and natural setting being only a 30 min. drive to ether the Old Port section of Portland, the Maine Mall, theme parks and many lighthouses, makes this village 'Ground Zero' in southern Maine. The house is located at the corner of Pine Point road and Jones Creek road. With a short 2 minute walk to the local market (for the morning paper), the 'Clam Bake' restaurant, or the beach, puts this house in an ideal part Pine Point.

We are 25 year visitors to the area. For years we rented a small condo, but with extended family (daughter-in-laws, boyfriends) now in the picture we needed more space. The property description and pictures cover it well. The house was ready to go on our arrival and the owner met us there. He was helpful, easy-going and located nearby all week if we needed him. Thanks to his extensive prep, we didn't; but we enjoyed speaking with him during a couple of chance meetings as we made our way past his nearby motel.
The house is not only very close to the beach (90 second walk), but is a great starting point for trips to Portand, Freeport, Kennebunk, York, Ogunquit and Kittery. Plus, it's perfect if the crowd wants to split up and head to different of these other spots. Cabela's is 10 minutes away, as is Funtown amusement park and Aquaboggin (water park). Restaurants are plenty. Several lighthouses are within a half-hour's drive. As long time visitors, we already knew the area to be quiet and family friendly.
Whether you are frequent visitors or new to the area, you should find this property to be comfortable, well appointed, well located and well managed.
